    Your playing really reminds me of Kiko Loureiro. The way that you play really conveys a TON of power in every single note, especially with the way that you play those bends and runs. Insanely good.

    Phenomenal playing brother!
    Around 2017-ish, and after multiple pickup replacements, I stumbled upon a slightly different setup as yours, with a JB Jr. Neck/Duckbucker Middle/JB Jr. Bridge combo.
    I wired the neck pickup for Series/Split/Parallel using a DPDT mini-toggle - and the bridge pickup is wired to the single Master Vol. Push/Pull pot (Down for Humbucker and Up for Single Coil).
    Along with a Master Tone pot and a standard 5-way selector switch, I’ve gotta say, my ‘84 Ibanez Roadstar “Super Strat” (with a Kahler trem) has been my workhorse guitar ever since.
    However, had I heard of this SolderX harness before today, it would’ve likely saved me hours of wiring possibilities and research… then again, I also wouldn’t have had the joy of knowing exactly how to customize my own pickup scheme and layout to fit my personal playing and styles - but I’m certain their wiring setups are far more accurate and professional than mine!
    I’d absolutely recommend Seymour Duncan’s “Everything Axe” set (with the exception of the Little 59 in the neck, as that didn’t work for my taste). This configuration, along with the extra switching capabilities, can be a remarkable tool for the versatile player. Especially for players who are constantly gigging with the Top 40 weekend pub bands - if your sets consist of Disco - Rock - Pop - Metal - Funk - Blues… whatever multiple genres, this combination is the bee’s knees.
    Not sure why your video popped up in my recommendations, but I’m glad it did, because you are a phenomenal player with exceptional phrasing. You’ve earned a Like and Subscribe from me!

      Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The JB Jr vs Little 59 debate is horses for courses I think. Different guitars will suit different pickups

    Sounds great bro! I was looking at some Texas Specials for my strat, but might take a look at these too! All 3 pickups together sounds HUGE 😍

      Cheers man! Yeah they’re deffo worth a look but very different to the Texas specials. TS are my favourite “proper” strat pickups. But for what Brave Rival are doing now, the humbuckers are what I need! (Plus I can’t stand the hum with the amount of gain I like!)

    On mine when the top mini toggle is Up it's in Humbucker mode and Down is single coil.

    Damn that sounds great! The coil split sounds really nice too. Has the classic tones in there. When you're gigging, how do you usually run the volume on the Strat? Are you wide open or do you just adjust as you go?

    • @edtheshredclarke
      @edtheshredclarke  5 месяцев назад +1

      I have the volume wide open most of the time but for cleaner sections like the verses in Break Me I roll it back. Usually around 4 or 5 but I do it by ear so it depends on the room etc

      @@edtheshredclarke thank you! Did you find the humbuckers sit well behind Lindsey and Chloe's vocals? It didn't overpower them or anything?

      It gives me the control so it can be overpowering but only when I want it to be! 😂
