    If this was true, if Venti is really a part of the God of Time then it proves the speculation about Venti during the time that his Gnosis was being taken away by Signora that he knew what needed to happen so that's why he didn't really put an effort in defending his Gnosis

    Venti definitely knows what the heck is a Paimon. He is just pretending he doesn't know who she really is. The true extent of what he knows is hidden on purpose. An interesting thing about Venti is that he goes to sleep whenever Monstadt is at peace. He only awakens when Monstadt's freedom is threatened. So far in the story he is still awake, meaning there is still future danger. Perhaps he has a similar power to the god of time and senses that freedom of his people is being threatened. Something big is going to happen soon that seems to need the Anemo Archon's attention.

Venti says that he has heard all songs of the past and future, and that he and Dvalin used to listen to the songs of the wind. Maybe the winds themselves act like a network across time. Seelies also have wind like forms and were known for singing, but their history is more complicated than that so it might not have any relevance. Idk, I feel like mondstadt being known as the city of "wind and song" could more important than it sounds

    Another fact that support the theory is when Venti "fixed" the Lyre and said that it would not stay like that forever. That can mean he didn't repair the lyre but just reversed the time back at one point the lyre wasn't broken so with time passing it would end breaking again

  • @diyeragae
    @diyeragae 2 года назад +109

    Ok wait. I had just told my friend about Venti and his probable relation to being "time itself" because aside from the sundials located only in Mondstadt, he also said, "there is not a song i don't know, whether it's from the past, the present or the future." And how he appears to Mondstadt when it's in very very dire - totally needs godly intervention moments - he is suspiciously there. To say that he's been asleep this whole while but is suspiciously able to attend/witness important events is just very... Well... Sus. Also, i remembered that Dainsleif himself mentioned something about "seeds being planted long before" (i think it was something like that) but whether that was about the traveller or it was about how the current story in game is slowly unfolding - the events, the archons, the abyss - i am not sure. At that time, i thought it was about the traveller and how all these upcoming events has been prepared for the coming of the twins but it could also be that the twins are just catalyst to the beginning of it. I was thinking, could Venti have been awaiting for the Traveller's awakening and the start of the game's story? We know, as players who see the angles of the events, that something big is brewing, then is Barbatos being awake a actually sign? My friend mentioned something about Mondstadt being suspicious and i recall the other rpg games i've played. The story always goes back to where it begun. Like a fulfilling the loop of a circle. The 1st town is where something big shows up, and we're feeling like "it was all under our nose this whole time!!!!" That, and also feeling the same thing with Paimon.
    But it was just a random thing i playfully mentioned to her while we were both simping over Venti. And now im seeing this. Even further talking about him being a shade. I haven't finished Enkanomiya yet so i have no idea about that Phanes and primordial one but damn. If that is all in there... The fact that Enkanomiya quest is "just" a world quest saddens me. I wish it were like the archon quest where we can revisit the dialogues and all. Im not really that good at remembering things and i feel like this Phanes thing is going to be like info-dumped to my dummy brain.

    Let's break down what time is on a physics standpoint. Time is basically what clocks measure. What time actually is is energy going from point A to point B which means it has a path to go that's why we need space and why it's called spacetime. So time can be seen as the movement of everything like the movement of the wind. And this path can be stretched or squished. A longer path makes energy take longer to reach it's destination while a shorter path does the opposite. That's why under the right conditions time seems to slow down at some places while at other places it speeds up. The only way to do a noticeable effect like that is by traveling at light speed or the influence of gravity. And what was Venti's ult again? Right! A black hole. A very strong gravitational force that has nothing else than a singularity inside.
    Also something really interesting: The Byakuyakoku collection mentions the God of Time as the mother of everything since 14 billion years. And we know what happened 14 billion years ago. It was the big bang. A whole universe expanded from a single singularity. The God of Time exists since then because the big bang marks the beginning of time.
    Most fans seem to look through Genshin's lore only on a fantasy and mythology standpoint but there is actually a lot of cosmology integrated but in a way that mostly just people who are experts in this field can notice it.

  • @jonrebalonzo8248
    @jonrebalonzo8248 Год назад +12

    I think this theory is real because in the Weinlesefest event, Venti said that he breathed so hard so that the winds in the past can arrive in the present times and that's why Razor saw his parents. This just proves that Venti has a control on time.

      Thus, she chose to give up her bodily form, helping her sister to ascend to the "heavenly citadel" and obtain dominion over Inazuma. Shortly after, the True Shogun, "Makoto," set up her Shogunate and began to rule over the land. Great theory! Though I would suggest that Kairos might not be THE God of Time, rather a God of the Moment. I think everybody is forgetting about Chronos, greek god of time, and about the actual difference between the words "chronos" (time as we know it, the one you can measure) and "kairos" (a moment; a piece of time of intermediate length marked because of it's significance; and also weather) in ancient greek language. The most peculiar thing though is that in Orphic theogony (which is heavily referenced in Enkanomiya lore) it was Chronos who created the World Egg, from which Phanes was born, who then created the world from the egg's shell.

    • @ChillwithAster
      @ChillwithAster  2 года назад +26

      In genshin, when I say Kairos, I'm alluding to the character known as the Ruler of Time (by mortals) and God of Time (Sacrificial Sword. Whether there's a chronos character is still unknown, but if I have to guess, there wouldn't be. I think Genshin just got inspiration from Kairos (greek mythology) and combined elements of Chronos into a single character.

Since he’s a shade, and istaroth created him to be a god who release mondstat’s people, he’s the least free of them all, because Venti is always working on his task to give them the freedom that istaroth demanded of him. this comment is late but i got excited thinking about this. mostly relates to the archon powers that we've seen thus far and possibly further evidence for venti's connection to the god of time. zhongli, ei, and ventis ult all relate to space. zhongli's meteor, ei's slashes depicting galaxies, and venti's ult resemblance of a black. even in venti idol animation, he holds something akin to a mini black hole. within science, time and space are fudemental part of our existence. when we look at dimensions, like 2d and 3d, the first 3 dimensions are associated with space. some scientists believe the forth dimension is actually time. black holes are a place still mysterious to us and many theories exist on it. but the rules of time space may be different and could possibly alter the space and time around itself.

    My HC & theory thread along that paimon is Istaroth that got guobafied due to some reason, because unlike sustainer, sustainer doesn't have "crown". We see this crown in domain, there are 5, one for phanes, ( the middle ) and 4 for their shades. I assume sustainer is a decoy, it is celestia's guard dog, she might be something created by other shades
    Paimon wear the crown actually show her status in teyvat, she is a GUIDE, that is fond with humanity, especially their food & help us change time. The celestia we know now is the "second throne" while istaroth herself came directly from primodial one which make her at least, "first throne" or near original at some point, maybe, she foresee what happened to teyvat in the future & decide she will help in a form the heaven won't notice while creating one of her own shade (venti) as archon to help out people

    Hmmm..........
    If he is a shade of the time god or something of her creation i don't think Celestia would just let him go
    Since the time god is basically erased/ forgotten from history i think he/she have disappeared from this world due to unknown circumstances
    I think venti does hav time powers not as much as the actual time god but a fraction as he does say that he knows songs from past present and future which could imply that he can foresee stuff from past and future but that's the extent of his power
    If this is true then it would make sense that venti is someone that Celestia can't let roam free and him being scared of those 3 Celestia people is part of it
    What if Celestia wants to monopolies his time powers but ad an Archon they can't just take him away and that's what the time god was after
    I think this because we are un aware of who currently holds power over Celestia is it the 1st throne or the 2nd throne. So it is possible that the 3 shadowy figures are the shades of the second throne. Which could imply that 1st throne and his shades are not here, could be that the time god is the only surving shade of the 1sy throne, as Venti does mention 3 others sacrificing themselves

    i have a theory that venti is WAYYYY older than the other archons but just lived as nothing for many years, also i do find it weird that venti and the primodial one have very similar descreptions like how they are both androgynous and have wings, phanes also has a crown but the only thing close to a 'crown' is the golden feather and cecilia venti wears as barbatos. so i have a theory that venti might be one of phanes creations as shade, if we didnt know who the shade of death or life was i would prob say its venti but bc we know venti could just be a random creation of phanes. or they could be a creation both of the shade of time(istaroth) and death because the theory you made about venti being something like a god of death because people of mondstadt say that barbatos guides dead spirits and watches over them or the times where venti could make people fall 'asleep' with their voice also you could say that the true freedom of life is death and i dont mean violent death i mean the death that doesnt hurt, so we got the death part and about time it is weird venti knows the songs of the future past and present because to know them you need to be connected with time in some way or in generals there are times venti knows about whats going to happen next as you said (being awaken before smt really bad happens to mondtsdt) and if their mother is istaroth WHO IS THE FATHER? because venti IS the child of istaroth. So i belive venti was a shade of both istaroth and the shade of death (i also had a theory that venti might have powers to heal like he did with dvalin but not only heal but also give back lives of people but i i dont belive its correct bc if they could bring back people from death, they would bring back the nameless bard)

    You know... I think this plot of "Two powerful people/Kingdom fought against each other, the one who won erased the existence of the other from history" meaning, no one will be able to know what happened or how the current ruler came to existence... Looking at this running gag of "Erasing Memories from The World" is too much now .. Rukkadevata, Scaramouche ... And now it's very likely that Istaroth can hide her existence as well. Except Venti knows everything...? Could be a possibility.
    Personally? I think this Celestia is actually run by the "Second Who came" because the Primodial one is currently in a "dormant" state and Celestia is trying her best to nail down all of the four shades and the memories of them from the world... Maybe that's why Irumisul was created? To re-create fake information? And the Primodial one send down "The Nails" to kill the tree,... And stop it from creating fake memories and cleanse the land from the heavy destruction caused by their war..?
    And after that, Primodial one when into slumber or deep "dormant" and only one of the four shades was left to guard the world of Teyvat? And she created multiple shades of her own self to seek out the darkness caused by the "second one"...? And eventually lost her powers and went into a dormant mode before making sure she left some aid to the people, Barbatos.
    Maybe the cycle of rest and revive of Venti is foreshadowing of the return of the true Gods? And that's why Celestia is scared of the "gods" Istaroth created making them kill each other while the remaining them will be under her(Celestia's) reign?
    Could be...? Or I'm just rambling my theory xD

    Theory: Barbatos is the weakest Archon because he is already dead. Or rather, that he sacrificed his life in order to attain some goal, ala Andrius.
    That would explain why he has lost most of his power despite the fact that he became an Archon-tier God because of the worship of his believers and Barbatos worship seems to still be strong and earnest in Monstadt. Not to mention that he seems to have a strong affinity to spirits of the dead from the Stanley quest, which doesn't seem to be something that is likely in Zhongli's or Ei's wheelhouses.
    As for what he did to achieve, I would guess that we don't have enough info on that matter yet. It might have been too protect the rest of Monstadt from Durin's poison, but that seems like it's too straightforward, narratively speaking.

    • @fishfish2567
      @fishfish2567 2 года назад +4

      The problem is being weakest Archon is what Venti said to traveler, no official or other source prove this is truth.
      Since Venti also told the traveler Barbatos had left Mondstardt for one thousand years when he first met the traveler, which definitely a lied.
      We can know Venti really lied and hide many things, so this weakest maybe also a lied too, sincr he had to "explain" why his Gnosis being got so easily.

  • @catdownthestreet
    @catdownthestreet 8 месяцев назад +1

    My current theory on Venti is that he has a lot of knowledge and does not see the need to share it... yet.
    There's a lot of mysterious things that could prove (and so far, have proven) important later that he might have more knowledge about than he lets on, like the words "The Gateway to Celestia" engraved upside-down and backwards at the foot of the Statue of Barbatos or the connections between "omni," Paimon, and the Statue of the Omnipresent God.
    Speaking of which, have you noticed how similar Istaroth and the Omnipresent God are? Eternity in itself is a concept closely related to time; perhaps there are more connections between the two than even the Shogun knows.
    Also, there are many hints towards the Statue of the Omnipresent God being from outside of Inazuma... possibly even from the forgotten island where that one Istaroth quest is picked up.
    If you couldn't tell, I am also a fan of the theory that Paimon is a shade of Istaroth, though I don't know if I'm the first to think of it. Especially with the connections between "omni," an element that mimics or replaces other elements according to Genius Invokation TCG, and Paimon, a mysterious fairy (?) from Teyvat with the "omni" symbol on her outfit. Also, it's unclear if she gives Traveler the ability to resonate with every element of Teyvat, but it is suggested by characters like Albedo and even Lyney that she acts as a sort of Vision or elemental catalyst. No one really understands what Paimon is, either, but people seem pretty unfazed by her floating and even refer to her as a "fairy" like they've seen others like her before. That confirms that she's from Teyvat, but it also suggests that she isn't exactly unique despite us, the players, never seeing or even hearing of other fairy-type things like her. Also, Mona can't read anything about Paimon from the stars, which implies that 1) Paimon might have a constellation and 2) Paimon is a deity like Venti, whose existence is equally unreadable to Mona.
    Actually, come to think of it, there's another possibility for Paimon's identity. She has literal galaxy eyes and a cape that looks like the night sky- maybe she is so deeply intertwined with the stars that Mona can't read her fate without seeing that of others, almost like Paimon is the night sky itself...
    And another thing: if any of my theories are true, it's likely that the only reason why Paimon hasn't said anything despite trusting the Traveler so much is that she literally doesn't remember being an omnipotent god. A little bit of research into her namesake confirms this: the Ars Goetia demon Paimon is stated to be extremely honest and never a liar, thus, if MiHoYo is staying true to her inspiration, the only way that Paimon could be a god of sorts without telling us is if, in some way, she erased herself from Irminsul Balladeer-style and cannot remember anything about herself.
    Oops. Didn't mean to go on a Paimon tangent on a Venti video. But I know how I got here- Paimon has connections to Istaroth via the Statue of the Omnipresent God and I like the theory that Paimon is a shade of Istaroth like Venti.

    Question for Aster: Could the statues in Mondstadt and in Inazuma city be Istaroth? I'm curious since there is no statue in Liyue and it's likeness doesn't appear to match any particular Archon. The wings of the statue is what made me consider this since the Shades of Phanes are considered angels correct? I always thought it strange to see such well preserved statues in these 2 cities when there is no resemblance to the Archons. Normally such historical creations are pulled down and destroyed however both Venti and Ei seem to venerate them in a way. Venti who casually sits in the open hands of the statue in Mondstadt and Ei who actually implants Visions into the statue. Any thoughts on this theory or who the Statue might be of if I'm incorrect? I'm actually quite curious to know what the connection could be and why they still remain in such public locations.

    More like Venti was a shade[more like a child]of 'God of Moment' since Istaroth/Kairos, in greek means an opportune/right/critical moment. It is also stated ig that Kairos was present in every moment. God of time is more likely Chronos(Phanes was born from it's egg{according to orphic mythology}). "Chronos" is measured and counted while "Kairos is lived is experienced.
