What size tube did you use for the main frame, and what size of the wheels, offset. Thanks really like the whole build I just come back to this video to try and get mine done the same way. The tubing is 2 by 4 16 gauge tires are 29/15/50/15 with a 3" offset on a 14 inch rims if you go to the exact same size you will need to cut the rear end 4" on each side this will work for a 12" rim or a 14" rim with a tire it has a 15 inch footprint if you had watched closely on the video I had left 2" of the old wheel well for mini tubs to extend them a little wider the car was a 5 seed and we turned it into a automatic with a aod transmission rear end has 4:30 gears in it with 31 spline axles and a Yukon posi Center section from Quick performance you are looking at probably $1,400 to do just the rear with shortened axles and upper and lower adjustable control arms unless you can find someone just shorten your rear end cheaper and another $500 to do the frame and tub it out if you have any more questions feel free to ask thanks

Hunkajunk Car Mods Garage it’s fine, I am one of those people that can’t concentrate talking on the phone with someone else talking in the background, I think it’s cause of ADHD I have, frustrating! Anyway I have a 97 just like that one, rust in the trunk. I cut out the rust and put chassis saver on the subframe rails and welded sheet metal in place but I left the spare tire well in. Had to retire the 87 Tang GT 1/4 mile car from it canning even though it had frame connectors, 8pt roll cage and other things! Had a n/a 410W stroker. Is it cramped in the driver seat with the roll cage? Mine feels cramped and I don’t have one in it! Fox body has more room to me but finding a nice roller that doesn’t have bondo in Ohio is impossible! How much time and money did you have in it tubbing the car? I thought about going big tire but I’ve only raced small tire 28x10 & 26x9 with 4.10’s n I have a fender roller to make room for the small tire setup but I wanna break the 125mph in the 1/4 but the engine is at 6,700r’s at the end so I gotta try something different, engine has 700hp, p/a C/4 2,800 stall. Only other thing I thought about was a Gear Vendors bolt on OD unit but I also have a 2sp powerglide I thought I’d try but first I gotta get an idea if this style mustang is worth it or not. Thanks for your response! Have a good one!

1 put rear end in the car with the tires you are wanting to run of course they are going to hang out the sides put a piece of tape on the ground on the outside of the tire also measure from inner part of the quarter panel to outside of tire
2 put a set of factory tires on it to where they should sit at the fender well like it would as if it was Factory put a piece of tape on the ground
3 measure the two pieces of tape from the outer piece of tape do the Elder Keith inner side of the tape that will tell you what you need to cut off but check both measurements the one from the tire to the fender well and the one from the tape and see if they match up if they match up perfect if one is slightly shorter than the other one then double check your measurements from the Thunder to the outer part of the tire that you plan on running
As far as the lower control arms they work great never had any issues I did have to put a Watts link in the car to keep the rear end from shifting side to side because I eliminated the for shock setup and just ran into like the old days other than that hooks up really good what's the adjustable arms it allows you to dial that rear end front to back or left to right to make sure it runs true and when your launch your car is not being throwed left to right the Watts link will help you dial in to center the rear end as well as keeping it from moving but I am very happy with the setup that I did and it has held true
