I have broken Windows 10 PC that I took the boot drive out of. That boot drive is perfectly good but the PC motherboard it came out of is shot. I want to virtualize that disk so that I can boot the old windows 10 installation in either Vbox or VMWare. Will your instructions work for that? If not, do you have any ideas? Thanks!
i want to actually use the physical hdd and boot from IT in vb! can it be done- other wise i might just swap the drives for stuff i have to do on rare occasions and at least have full resources...
Via windows this looks easy... Via Linux this is impossible and requires all kinds of trial n error n all kinds of lying "free" programs... Ugh weeks later I copied it onto an actual blank hdd but vm won't recognize the virtual drive - _-
My god, it's just that easy? Can't wait to boot my old WinXP tower and copy it over to my laptop. Here's hoping it works out
After 4 years no 2nd part....
Where is the next part?

The sky is the limit but beware of the drive corruption that could happen
