Great video, thanks Emily! I have a question regarding moving the snares later in time to go better with the overheads. Would moving the snares forward in time affect the overall pocket of the drum groove up against other instruments, as in, would the snares now sound a little late because they've been delayed by 166 samples? And would there ever be a case to move the overheads back in time instead of moving the snares forward? Thanks so much!
Yeah, so I wouldn’t time adjust a great amount. Just for tightening things up. It’s also really good for top/bottom snare to lineup better, same with the kick in/out. Overheads should have a little natural delay. You could experiment with moving them further back to give a more room sound tho. I don’t know of a plug-in that moves the audio up. I guess you could manually move it. But I tend to just move back. Experimenting is all good tho!
Thanks for sharing these tips! I actually had been learning about this and this was a great help.
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out, friend!
Thanks so much for this!
Hi Emily, good afternoon, I wanted to know if the template works for Pro Tools 12.5, thank you very much.
Hey there! The template is a .ptx so I believe it is compatible with anything after Pro Tools 10.
