Im a beginner and specifically want to learn to play Nu metal but there aren’t a lot of tutorials out there so im genuinely happy to have found your video
Nu Metal is pretty easy to play, I would recommend learning your drop tunings, drop D, Drop C#, Drop C(its pretty easy to tune to) and you just barre your 1st finger over any fret and strum it like a chord progression, I’d recommend starting with early Deftones, Saliva, SOAD. They have those drop tunings. Later, I would recommend getting into the complex drop tunings like drop. A# that Munky and Wes Borland uses.
@@HellbillyHalloween Korn use A standard exclusively and Wes Borland mostly plays in C# standard and drop B. Also on a surface level it's easy but sooo many people miss the subtle details when playing the parts so their versions feel kinda underwhelming.

The fact that the leader of the resistance can find the time to write a nu metal track so perfectly nu metal that its almost too nu metal is very impressive. No punctuation.
NuMetal artist here (RAPTOR RIOT) solid video my man. This is a great perspective from the guitars to showcase why this is one the funnest, catchiest, and heaviest genres to write in \m/
Ah nu metal the only genre i can play on guitar at least since i was a teenager that was my main favourite genre and still is thanks for the lesson riffs the first riff I learned was blind by korn
Thank you for this! I'm getting back into guitar and nu metal has always been my favourite. I stumbled across both a sus chord & octave chord years ago just by practicing, so having this video helps remind me where I was and where to go.
Hello. I'm brand new to learning guitar and have an interest in learning exclusively how to play nu metal songs and nu metal style music. Unfortunately I didn't know about the special effects before making my purchase. I have an Ibanez guitar and a boss katana Amp. Should I learn the basics of guitar playing before tapping into nu-metal? Should I try replacing the Amp I currently have? I'm really interested, please let me know!

so if the definition of nu metal is the band that started it - korn, then this sounds NOTHING like numetal (the intro song), it sounds like the lameness that came about 3 years later

Nu metal is what the machines fear the most.

Blind by Korn - what an incredible track. That opening riff though!
Didn't know Max Payne played guitar!

I want to learn how to make all the parts for a song like this. I can do the guitar stuff, but I suck at drums and mixing.

I wonder how this would sound with some odd/unusual time signatures thrown in. Great vid btw.
Can you do Chevelle nu metal gear
would LOVE if u get msg me the signal chain u used for the sound design on the riffs in the intro song…! ❤
@licklibrary what exact pedals and which amp did u use for the intro? it the exact sound i want to work with…
What song is that in the opening?
am I the only one who thinks that he looks like Max Payne?
Buddy KORN created numetal
You forgot harmonics
Послушай классику ню метала, ибо складывается мнение что ты не понимаешь о чём рассказываешь

That's not an octave. 8 on D is Bb. 10 on G is F. That's HARMONIZATION.
An octave as in a powerchord but the middle string is muted, so you play two sounds in an interval that is... An octave
@@Sylkis89 12 notes is an octave is my point. Semitones and tones
