Sean was the one who had the humor that played well with Layne's. He is so serious when playing but is a humorous guy . He fought addiction as well. But he was able with Jerry's help recovered. That God for that. Sean is great!!
Good interview and it’s always nice to feast my eyes on Sean. God, he’s gorgeous. They are honest and humble guys and it’s always nice to see that. I’m glad they’re still around.
I absolutely love these guys. They are so influential and great people. They have so many positive messages that can really help anyone. They have been through so much, and have lived to tell the tale. I love Sean. What a good guy, he has such a good family too. Would love to be with him. I remember talking with his sister Denise several years ago. Very nice lady.
They gave an awesomely sincere interview. They're humble and grateful and very talented musicians. God Bless Alice In Chains for following their bliss and creating some great music. I am definitely going to get their new album. Viva! Alice In Chains.
I don't think Jerry is depressed, it was over ten years ago when Layne passed. I'm not saying he's not down about it a little bit of every day, but he has to move on, and he has, I think so anyway. I believe this song/album was a big release for Sean, Mike, and Jerry. Layne will never be forgotten and will always be missed, but if anything, things are looking up now like he said, "Black Gives Way to Blue"
How can I possibly love two guys that I've never even met--and probably never will meet--so much? You can tell they are now older, wiser, and more mature (as this was still 10+ years ago). It blows my mind that it was 14 years since the Tripod album. And now since then, they've put out 3 albums, and Jerry's put out another another solo album ("Brighten" which, like "BGW2B" shows that things are definitely looking up for him and the boys). 🙏👍❤
Just keep on going and I am glad that y’all do what you do and don’t worry about what anybody else thinks and y’all are a legend and it’s good to move on and grow and do the change and y’all love what y’all do I like it also a beautiful tribute to Layne and good for y’all you got Elton John I know this is a old interview first time I saw it Thank you for hanging in there and not giving up and faced your demons it’s hard I’ve had mine we grow and we get up and dust yourself off Keep Rocking for years to come 🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️
think its awesome that in all these videos you do and did what you did for the love of good music of our past ,Jerry your playing is amazing to me you do have you own style good luck in the future you really gave back and kept our kind of music in various genres that we still love and kept it alive and well much respect to you guys i love to play but really like working on guitars and amps really enjoy it ,dont think i ever would have had the balls to stick with it like you guys did but im glad you did because your music is here forever man keep writing and playing as long as you can stand to
Heather Davie His arms and hands are beautiful. I love the way he moves them. I used to be a movement analyst and he has really good movement. He probably works out as well as playing drums.
Layne's first concert was Elton John... It's interesting, especially because he was friends with another late-great, Andrew Wood who idolized Elton John. Hehe.. my first concert was Shanana because the were at the Allentown Fair in PA.. I tried to go to others by 41. Somehow never got there.
Sean could have modeled. Jerry, no. He was never a good looking guy. Mike Starr was a hot one like Sean though. I wonder if Sean is Irish like I’ve read.
Well Jerry did quit smoking. Not sure if Sean still smokes, but he said when Layne died he started smoking again. So maybe he's quit now that time has passed.
Great the guys are still making great music but honestly Elton John?? The king of cheesy elevator muzak .... but he's he big star so i guess some people think its cool...personally if it was me I'd have a real keyboard player who is a great artist and musician any day
@@garrison0532082 I would put my musical knowledge and taste up against anyone. I've been into music since I was a child. I play several instruments and have eclectic tastes and knowledge of the history etc. I'm just not into Elton John (he wrote a few ok songs but...)
@@jonesy2111 how old are you? Remember, Jerry grew up in the 70s...Elton was huge, and much of his unreleased music from that era, if you made the effort to do more than scratch the surface, is stellar.
You're entitled to your opinion...but have always been "a true AIC" fan. It was Layne and Jerry together on vocals that made their songs filled with raw emotion that touched so many. Sadly, it's not anything like now.
DL Kristine...I can understand your feelings...but they (band members) decided to keep the name, it's their band afterall, I see no problems (even without Layne who is my favorite singer but Jerry has always been the main songwriter, co-vocalist). Many say AIC died with Layne...but Jerry & Co. have the rights to continue as AIC...you have to respect it. AIC is basically their life. If you don't like the band (post Layne) it's ok... just don't listen to them. Be well.

"Music has saved my life" That's beautiful.
Sean looks fantastic. He's in great shape for his age.
Interviewer: "Black Gives Away to Blue, explain that." Sean: "It's two colors."
"One's black, and one you can kinda see" rofl
reminds me of an old interview:
Interviewer: What's different with this new album?
Sean: We have 12 new songs. We didn't even repeat old songs.
Amnah A. still the same where they didn’t answer questions seriously😂

The way they explained Alice is the way I've always seen it to be.
I like that they're grounded enough to share the same feeling about it with fans.

Everything about these guys is cool! Very well-spoken, humble, sincere, witty, and of course badass rock star appearances!

watching them always inspires me musicially
Funny how the background is black and blue.
I love hearing these guys go off and get lost in their story... It is quite the story to tell :)
It's always going to hurt losing him.....That brought the tears. So very true. :(
beautiful words from a beautiful band! brought a tear to my eyes! :')
Great guys, cool interview. Love AIC!
Thanks for sharing this! Just great hearing these guys again. Never thought they'd get back together - always wished they would...

Medicine for the soul is music.
I've said it before about Sean I do believe he could've made a handsome model.. Jerry is just gourgeous and would love to know his lineage? 💋💞💞💞🤘🎸

Sean and Jerry have made Better Music Than Almost All The Bands Jerry Listed.
Love AIC so much rock on all
Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Elton John.... What a group of influencers.
💘
I wonder if elton gets paid a little for being on it.
Stop smoking Sean and Jerry it ruins your teeth, skin and everything else.
Heather Davie.
How many accounts do you have?
Oh well. We all have our vices.
Heather Davie well there’s not really anything you can do about that

Rick Jones apparently you, sir, know nothing about music.
Rick Jones Elton John was less elevator music back in the early days, captain fantastic and the brown dirt cowboys, check it out🤘
