Wow! I've been searching for the solo on RUclips for years before, was delighted to have Jerome cover it, and just today, when I decided to learn to play the last part by myself, I stumble upon your video. Great job!
I love this song, maybe my favourite from Abba, although there are many great songs from them. The solo is genius, I could literally listen to it all day. I wonder if it was the Yamaha GX1 they used for the solo?
Thank you both...for this amazing work. As a hardcore ABBA fan I always knew it would take decades before we decipher and understand the billiant music of ABBA and the genious minds of everybody involved in its creation. Almost comparable to the uveiling the Egiptian Hierogliphs... One similar example is the "tada da ta ta tada da tata..." section in Me And I...
Perfect! Great piece, thanks for sharing. Why didn't I find your video earlier? Anyway, I'm happy, that you corrected my little mistakes and completed it with the extended version
thank you to both u and jerome for this!!!! i love the melody of the synth part sooo so so much and ive been looking for raw stems but this is just as good!! i love this!!
Wonderful! Thank you so much for this video! ♥ Noticed some cutting out at before 14 and 15 on your track-timeline thingie 5:30? I might hear it too in the studio version, but then the strings might fill out the gaps, making your version a bit lacky on that part, yeh? These tracks are obviously more simple, making it easier to hear the synth, so maybe it's just me being deceived in the studio version here. :) But never the less, what a crazy job! So great to listen to!
Anyone worked out the underlying scales being used ? I think I can hear mostly Dm melodic , C Mixolydian over the C chord and F Lydian over the F chord ? Not sure.
Please do you by any chance have a sheet music for the whole solo with the slight changes you made and the extended ending ? This is amazing work you’ve both done . Thanks to Jerome and yourself 🙏🏽
god, thank you for this! i could’ve hummed out the extended version of the outro fadeout but i don’t know how to transcribe super well yet, i just pick up a lot of things by ear. any chance you’d be willing to share your fixed and completed garageband/logic file so i could enjoy this as well?
I was wondering the same, although I'm on PC & have been wanting to make a Synthesia or something with the baseline, chords, the synths, & all that jazz.
On Spotify, there are two "Gold" versions: one with gold text in the image & one with a gold background. Neither appear to have the extended synth & are both 4:32. I found that the Super Trouper album does contain more of the ending & is 4:34. I used the Gold album version (same as Anniversary Edition?) for most of it & then used the Super Trouper Version for the last 4 measures. I'm uploading a video soon of what I believe to be closer to the original, but do feel free to correct me if I've made any mistakes.
@@KierDarby Thanks! I did eventually transcribe the whole thing, since even the video you sent is slightly truncated: ruclips.net/video/zwZya09SYoM/видео.html
Omg..you read my mind! I just thought the same thing. I remember hearing this in the clubs back when it was a Number 1 DISCO hit on Billboards Disco chart. The ending synthesizers (to me...anyway) was a crescendo climax on my brain the first time I heard the whole Disconet version, where it was repeated it twice. I never forgot it. Can't believe it was 40 years ago! Check out the ABBA RUclips remixes of "Don't Turn Me Down"!

I wonder if there is a studio recording somewhere with even more of the solo, the fade-out is maddening!

Or, minimoog ?
Just as likely to be a Mini Moog for lead mono synth lines in this period

Very interesting! Please let me know what Software do you use? Did you analized that Song with that Software?
No, just ears and a keyboard!
@@KierDarby wow amazing. Thank you so much. I will need it ☺️
@Wonni1981 the only software I used was Audacity, to massively raise the volume of the fade-out so it was audible. Thanks for your comments :)
you png?
What software you using on desktop?
Keir, do you think you could make an extended mix of the whole thing? that would be so amazing...

Yeah think it's an A too, though it sounds just as good in a G :).
