i gotta love your message, man! i’ve been playing violin for ~15 years now, classically trained. once i stopped with my lessons about 4 years ago, i’ve really broadened my violin skills into “illegal” territory. i can play it like a ukulele, i regularly tune it to whatever i feel, i can fiddle, i can strike any chord, etc. play your instrument however you want!

Wow, that rendition of the Adagio from Bach’s Sonata no. 1 on the 7-string Jordan was hauntingly beautiful. We need a full version!

Whips out the Chaconne on an instrument he’s never played.. cool! Then some Bach Cello Suites… Awesome!
What amazes me most is how readily he adapts to the string angles with the bow on 5-, 6-, and 7-string models.
When I’ve messed around with electrics I’ve had a lot of trouble with that…😕.

What I can hear with the 4-string NS is a hugh difference in nuance compared to the others so far. This is quite a difference. I'm still breaking in my 5 string NS cello. It is a bit difficult because the sound, even though I position the speaker correctly, is not the same response as my acoustic cellos. I just need to practice more with it. Having an additional string on the cello, I chose an E as opposed to a lower note F. It is quite an advantage. You run out of "real estate" on a four string cello and the 4th postions and higher are tonally weaker. Of course, this depends on your music.
