- This one nearly got away, thankfully a potential threat to the lambs next spring has been dealt with.

Had a debate with my socialist politics teacher today about fox hunting. She’s so clueless about the whole situation and just assumes that we love killing animals and that’s the only reason we do it. Oh well
Also congrats on 20k subs. Well deserved
Well, that is the reason.
Interesting video I'll give a sub. Also why do you guys hunt foxes are there excessive amount of foxes in the area?
Typically hunted on lamb grazing fields, as foxes eat newborn lamb and attack weak mothers, so farmers want em gone
@@Charlotte_beans ah alright thanks.
@@Charlotte_beansi dont like hunt foxe becaus sometime is hard to find and some fox hide in london
I great video I watch all the time just got a marlin x7 in 243 what ammo do you use
Good to see you
We've had a problem with certain parties dumping foxes in our area too. Have a M77 stainless in 22/250. A sodding heavy lump with a can on it. May downgrade to a smaller bullet and rifle
I'm guessing foxes are definitely not as tolerated around farmlands as they are around London.
Well no given they are such pests.
@@srspower do you need a general license like game shooting or do you need to apply for something like a pest control license?
Also, nice that we can all get suppressors much easier than the yanks 😅
@@somecoder3054 I wouldn't say 'much easier' but given what we go through to buy a rifle a silencer at that point is easy. No you do not need any kind of license as foxes are classed as vermin like rats etc. And you do not need to 'get' a general license it is automatically in affect all of the time, you just abide by it and it only exists because ALL wild birds in England and Wales are protected (unlike foxes or rats). So birds require a 'general license' to take care of pest species.
@@srspower thanks a lot mate. Good to see you still putting up vids still. Stuff like this made want to start up with the sport side of shooting.
fox is not at sush pest is like at dog, freindly and cute but is no aggresion wkth human is just like run from human
i dont agree entirely with you , but yes i did feel a bit sick watching that;it was a very young fox; and the caliber bullet , 0.243 is often used for much much bigger game, eg deer
What kind of caliber are you using? Ammo brand?
regards from Switerland
.243 Winchester. In this video I am using SAKO 100 grain softpoints but I have mostly switched to 90 grain now as it seems more accurate in my rifle.
Great vid
Skills Sam.. will be waiting on that pigeon vid 💪🏼
What bipod do you use?
Sorry I have not whached your channel for a long time
Why aren't you using sticks?
Because sticks are pretty useless with foxes you are too obvious silhouetted stood up.
@@srspower l shoot foxes and deer off sticks
I just keep close to the hedgeline 🐺🦌😎
I was wondering this too,...I guess it's up to an individual hunter's method and style, would that be a fair guess?
@@regsparkes6507 l suppose so but if you stick to the hedge you stand a better chance of not being seen
Been doing this for over 40 years and it works for me
I enjoy the videos thou
@@davidissitt7718 Oh my yes ! I can see your point,....I watch a lot of Fieldsports Britain as well, and there's where sticks are shown being used too.
Cheers David!
I hate foxes. I hate fox cubs more. thank u for killing the dummy fox cub
NO BAD THAY ARE COOL
Can you do a video of you and your son hunting ps I think you have a son and a daughter
That was my exes boy, I don't have my own.
