Every time I see dad on the drums it puts a smile on my face. I remember growing up with my dad (Frank) and Mick and Johnny all getting together and recording. epic memories and very proud of him,
Check out the double CD 'Shakin' At The Beeb'. All the sessions and concerts they recorded for Radio One. Awesome. Especially the first session they did for Stu Colman and Geoff Barker's 'It's Rock'n'Roll' just after they had reformed in 1976.
Yeah VintageSG - i think's it's sweet because it's really simple (in a good way) TIGHT and never goes away from the son'g groove - but i'm biased - i've loved The Pirates since around 1964. By 1965 we (The Storms) were probably the first Pirates cover-band, doing their stuff every night in Germany - god it's a bloody long time ago :(
Hi again, don't know why, but when i tried to put live links into this reply-box, i just got Error alerts. There's a bunch of J.Kidd & The Pirates tunes down the list on my RUclips channel - just search with - paulacourt1 - the live numbers are with the old still Black & White photos, and were done with one mic hanging on a nail into a simple Grundig reel-to-reel machine. The venue was, i think, one of the Star Club chain, in a town called Karlsruhe, 1965. Rocking on, just! paul.
