- After 7 long labor intensive days, the crew and I have completely this succulent landscape. My client was not interested in tapestries or my usual lush planting. As much as I enjoy packing the plants in, I also love getting to practice restraint. I think the end result is stunning! We will be here next week to complete the backyard. What part of the garden is your favorite? Thanks for liking and subscribing!

Just terrific result. The fabulous thing is that each garden is a completely unique individual landscape.
Love that back throw into the abyss with the cactus pot
Unbelievably beautiful! What a difference. Thank you for sharing all that you do!!
Love to watch a true artist at work ❤️ Thanks as always for the great 💡
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing succulents lovely garden
Amazing as always.
The owner could put a nice simple piece on wall art on that blank wall 😊
This instillation is pretty. I love the cacti planter. I think my favorite instillations are still the ones where you aren’t restrained though.
I like it, it's minimalistic, black and white
I just know this installation will age like fine wine with all those high impact plants it’ll be unrecognizable when everything grows to its full size
There’s ONLY ONE Laura Eubanks who “does not know” but can wing it with a stunning result. I am sure there’s no one else and I know I won’t be able to do it how Laura wings it and has stellar results award-winning design at the end. That’s why it is soooo fun and amazing to see the beginning, the middle and most of all the ending. It is such a joy to watch and so relaxing. 🥰😘❤️💕💕💕 Laura you are God’s gift to the succulent world !!!
Oh boy this Grand Reveal was spectacular my goodness that was a lot of work. It’s going to be even more exciting to see you start on the backyard 👏👏👏🙏
Hard work for a beautiful and amazing results! 👌😍
You have made me a believer of rocks!
That cactus wall is great
I cannot wait for the final day when you are doing a new installation
Good point about the amount of water regarding pots and drip. Hot tip- you can run tubing through the drainage hole and use 1/4” drip tubing under the top dressing if you have a separate zone for containers. Maybe add it to your toolkit for a future xeriscape with succulent pots throughout…
Oh my, ohh my, huge golden barrel, is that?, un explainable, beautiful, and a real paradise,., no words enough to describe how beautiful it is.
I want to remove birds of paradise in my front yard too! Thanks for the inspiration!
The before and after on this yard is like night and day!!! Such a beautiful install and it looks stunning.
So amazing how everything ones together on your installations and the rock ribbons are lovely. Another winner for Laura and team DFS! 🥰
Absolutely nailed it! I love the minimalist approach this is something else. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely gorgeous
I like that you put the lava rock as a barrier. People walking on gravel will move it faster than anything, this prevents that.
Un atardecer apacible y disfrutando el avance del trabajo en equipo. Ahora descubriremos este hermoso lugar 😀👍🏽👏🏽
It’s FABULOUS as always with team DFS 💕 Great work team! I love grande reveal days, because no matter how much I like the project, the final rock work always takes it to the next level. The black lava rocks are popping. The minimal xeriscape sidewall is looking great as well 🌵
Every job of yours becomes my favorite! I just love that black chunky lava rock. Great job!
The rock part is my fav!The barrels and the other plant on the side of the house ,looks amazing!
I love your more intricate ribbon work with tons of succulents too but these more restraint specimen gardens are my faves and something I personally would choose! This one is just spectacular and so beautiful with the plants and black lava😍
Love that fire glass! So pretty.
Hmm… I feel like that back wall needs something….
just perfection!! love how you tipped the barrel cactus as if they were bowing to people walking by :) this is amazeballs! :)
Love that top dressing colour with the house. So smooth and clean.
This really cheered me up this morning, couldn't even begin to say how much i love this, thanks.
Wow 😍😍😍amazing 🤩🤩🤩
That corner to the left look so lonely 😭, but as usual fabulous job clean and sharp looking.
Looks great
Hay Laura you know that if you pot flower stock you can actually get little plants from in between the leaves. I have done it with one of my Echeverría flower stocks, and I got plants from them.
Beautiful
🤩 beautiful 😻
Kevin did a great job as well with the xeriscape. I like that too✨✨
WOW so striking! I was not totally on board with the black at first because I love the softer colors but this just pops. Great job. POOR neighbor's yard is so sad in comparison. The rock verses the dirt!
Just what I needed to procrastinate!
Hello Laura and team
What a spectacular transformation, thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
Art. Love what you do so much.
row of blue cactus would be awesome on that empty wall besides the calliandra
Y’all make everything beautiful and so eye appealing ❤️ who needs grass, lol
But the bloom stocks do grow roots and can produce babies for you
Spectacular 🥰😍💪🏻
Lovely as always!
that blank wall might love some metal art. ✨
Art
Very beautiful!
The little side garden is really cute. If I lived somewhere warm in the winter that is what I would plant maybe in pots.
There are a ton cold hardy opuntia cacti that bloom beautifully! They work very well in pots if you can give them a little bit of protection over winter.
LOVE it!
Lindo parabéns 🇧🇷
Love it can’t wait for the backyard !! It’s hot here in Bakersfield would love to do that somewhere
:0 so pretty !
Another score! Looks great. But careful with that pedilanthus. Did you see my eye in the post on SD Gardener? Especially if you're working under it, if a branch breaks and the sap flies, bad things can happen!
E vc gardens suculentas 👍🌵
I want that copper brown fireglass on top of the black lava rock!
Olá Laura! Está ficando lindíssimo, maravilhoso, um sonho, gratidão ,DEUS abençoe todos.(BRASIL)
looks amazing. i feel like its missing something though possibly flagstone for the walkways.
Paint the wall black. The wall you wanted to leave barren.More depth and repetition.Greetings and good work from Herman van der Voort landscape designer South Africa.🤛
I have many many echeveria bloom stalks that have rooted over the years AND quite a few that have grown pups. Ill gladly send pics to whoever wants to see the proof (not that I'd want to take forever sending pics to hundreds of u) I have a handful growing rn in a pot with a cane dracaena lol outside on my deck. Zone 6.
Wow!! Thank you for sharing this information! I had no idea. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks🤪
A beautiful end result it looks amazing. Just a thought, how about a tall planter with cactus against that blank wall as a feature.
🖤
Wow! Are you putting a pathway?
I am bad!!! I dont care for the large black rock's. It looks not finished...Maybe money was a problem.....it would look nice with some of the brown rocks beside the black to cut the sharp look of the black...of course your the expert, lol
The wall at corner where you said you wouldnt plant anything, i picture a tall roundish pretty, probably green that goes with the other pots, pot with a short plant that hangs down the side of the pot (Cascading)...
Otherwise, i think its a fantabulous job!!!
🥰
It’s when the camera woman pans out & you can see the overall effect that I really had the wow factor!
So gorgeous! Just one question: what happened to a pathway through the garden? In a big garden space I like to have a walkway or clear path to get around to see the whole yard. I thought you mentioned early on that you'd set out a path. Did something change, did you decide it wasn’t necessary, or decide it would disrupt the flow? Thanks very much for sharing your thought process! 🌵🙋🏼♀️💚
👋😃
Want to know your thinking and design process, what makes you design to put pathway or dry river bed or seating area?
What is the name again of the plant that is losing leaves (looks similar to an Ocotillo)?
This installation is looking spectacular!!
Fourqueria diguetii
sOMETHING IS MISSING.....red lava added will help...too much cal gold...Should have border between sidewalk and cal gold..
Really wish you would use the common names more. :-/
