    You weren't entitled, you were sick. Depression is a disease that lies to you. You can't compare trauma, just because someone else's struggles may be different doesn't mean yours are any less valid. ❤

They are people who are unlikely to change as they like to make others unhappy rather than be happy for others being happy.

    Thank you girls for sharing your college experiences! Both experiences I think a lot of people can relate to; and it’s so tough when you’re looking at peers who seem to have a straight forward path through school to career. It can feel isolating when your path isn’t so clear. I know I struggled with that in my college years and at the time felt like I was the only one going through it 💕

      There is so much pressure to go to college, I think it is going to be good to hear for people to hear that people can struggle, not be as successful in college, but then still find a path after. We need to teach college isn't for everyone, because it really isn't. Plenty of jobs shouldn't require college degrees.

    Katie, I’m probably your parents age. I want to say quit beating yourself up. 1. You have PCOS so you know weight, depression etc all goes hand in hand with it. 2. When your in 18-25 yr old range that is where your finding yourself. There’s nothing to be slapping yourself about. All parents support their kids through this process. My daughter joined the military. Had an event in boot camp. Was medically discharged. Came home found out her husband gambled her $$ away and other crap. I supported her through all of it. She moved back home. There’s depression it’s not easy to handle. You are an amazing young woman!! Give yourself some grace 💞 Your beautiful!!

  • @annavarian8946
    @annavarian8946 3 часа назад +1

    Regarding hair washing, it really depends on your scalp and hair! From experience, personal, familial and with friends, the thicker the hair, the less likely it is to need frequent washing. I've got thick hair and lots of it, and I do a double shampoo and conditioner sit about every 10-14 days. If I wash it too much it really messes up my scalp and my hair 😢
    Not forgetting that if you have hot showers, that washes away a lot of the oils and dirt from your hair anyway, but not as much as a shampoo, obvs 😉

    No doubt you ladies probably helped a few young teens/early 20s feel not so alone in a time where I think lots of us girls feel isolated and are looking for "what to do'? Seems like this day and age we feel we should have it all figured out by 18 and know what we plan to do with our life and most often times we realize that sometimes we don't even know until it literally falls in our lap. Sometimes God just leads us to where we are supposed to go and we end up taking the long way and sometimes rocky route 😉

    College itself shattered my mental health and I also struggled with ED and binge/purge cycles with exercise being my purge mode. I don't know how I lived thru it and I couldn't finish my degree. I think my own neuro spicy brain and sensory struggles and lack of direction just destroyed me. I'm healthy (mostly) now and it's nice but from 17 to 22 was a very dark period in my life too.

    You hid the depression because you felt shame where it wasn't needed, it's so hard to open up about it. I lied about how much I was struggling, I made up reasons why I couldn't do things, when I actually started being honest, things got better, shame keeps us from opening up and keeps us in a place of struggling, when you are honest, you find the people who want to support you and help, you find those who understand. You find the friends that are happy for your happiness and are there as support when you need it. You have to help yourself a lot of the time but when you do, people are there. I think like feeling like you are a victim in life can be a part of it, I soon got out of that and that's when my mental health got better. I have a lot of trauma but I have and am working so hard to heal it. My Complex-PTSD will never truly go away but my triggers are a lot less and I'm working on my current triggers. It's a horrible place to be when you feel so low and feel so alone with it, I never want to feel like that again and I really don't think I ever will.
