Our version of The Footy Show was yanked off the air after a disastrous run because of many factors: it wasn't funny, it was racist (eg idiots in cone hats going "Hohhhh, flied lice"), and it was also sexist as shit. One 'sketch' involved two blindfolded rugby chimps literally groping a female cricketer 'to see if they could guess who she was'. There is having a laugh, mate, and there is being outrightly offensive. No need for ME to 'grow up'..
i wouldn't go that far. i watch the afl one but it has gone downhill in the last few yrs and even though i'm a sam newman fan, he will end up leaving or retiring soon. at least the nrl footy show has shane shakleton and beau ryan, who are funnier than shane crawford and more original than billy brownless
