I remember when my mom & dad took me to the drive in, in the 80's I got bored and used to go play at the swings near the food stand.
Yep did that 2, lol
I remember all of those ads. My parents and I went to the drive-in a lot when I was a kid
I did to. We would set chairs out beside the car watch the movie and eat pop corn
I remember going to an old drive in cinemas in Sydney with old 70s and 60s ads
I remember drive ins, hanging out with friends and watching a double feature
Its funny how back in the 70's, they were still showing ads that were made in the 50's ad 60's. I remember some of these from back then.
It was a good time
Hell, they were showing these ads at my drive in when I was a kid in the late 90s and early 2000s.
You could eat pizza and chili dogs at the movies! Wow! Nowadays, you can do that at home.
Yep . Wish they were still around
Man this takes me back!
They are better than today's TV aren't they
Love these I remember them too. Went to the Drivein a lot when they had them here still.
Me to. Use to put chairs in back of my Pickup and watch the movie
How did that one kid drink that cup of hot chocolate without burning her mouth? :P XD
Yep. We all had had burns in the mouth
So funny that when I see not only the coffee but also the hot chocolate in those paper handled cups it just makes me think of the kinds that were molten hot right out of the dispenser like at a donut shop! Haha!
Yep that was the days.
The only one that concerns me is if you accidentally tear the speaker out what about the people that follow you what are they going to beat you up
I just returned it to the office.
I really love the charm of these old commercials, they really knew how to get at your money
Yep much better than todays
@@bwcpublishing They wanted more money from you, than just the admission price; in the 1960s, drive-in admission for adults was $1.19, anyone at 12 or younger was 75 cents - how can I forget that? Saw it often enough ...
@@bobbyfrancis8957 Sometimes it was a $1 for a carload also.
Very nice ! This video had several parts that I had never seen before. And I have watched a ton of these. Thank you for posting !!
you are welcome. enjoy
Thanks for posting these!
'made my evening! Enjoyed the trip back in time!
Yep brings back good memories. Wish they would open a few back.
3:10 It's the white Soul Train 🚂 scramble board! 😆
Lol
I still want that pizza.....
What Kind? Maybe I can mail one to you like the Pizza Commercial on TV where they stuff it in the mail box.
That Pizza's a little old now.
Probably still better than todays.
Robin Springer me too I love pizza
We always got corn on the cob at the drive-in. I don't know why that was a thing here, but it was good.
We use to fill the trunk with people and they got in free. lol
@@bwcpublishing and here I fill my trunk with people and I have to stand trial. Times they are a changin'.
@@animateddepression Yep that was 50 years ago to.
What if I tear a speaker off on purpose, do I still have to return it to the refreshment building or box office? At 8.40. Just kidding. Ha!
I think I'll have a hamburger and a chocolate milkshake if you please.
Do you want cheese on the burger?
Make mine a Malt.
Back when they had good quality food at places like this.
Yes food changed like people and times
@@bwcpublishing Yes, thank you.
They make me hungry
That's the idea! 😉
@@fromthesidelines Yep works doesn't it?
The drive-in near me still shows these between the double features, but there's no speakers anymore, just a radio station you tune in to. But there's one in New York that still has the speakers.
I remember the last one I was at had the radio station to. Wish we still had them around here
@@bwcpublishing there's a few within 30 mins/an hour from here. I go to the Delsea drive in, est. 1954. When I seal the deal on my 1950 ford sedan (my first car) it's going to be awesome to hit the drive-ins, the theater and then Weber's root beer, est. 1945 and the other location 1952
@@rexjolles Sounds like a lot of fun. The Drive in near me closed a while back and I have a 1957 Chevy and don't get to drive it there.
@@bwcpublishing that sucks about the drive in but cool about the chevy. If I'm ever down near your place we'll race haha
@@rexjolles Sounds good to me. lol
What I wanna know is, are those paper cups with handles??
Yep back then cups had handles. lol
And a good time was had by all.
Many times
Is that part about the drivein movie theatre at the 7:36 mark to the end available in MP3 or MP4? I'm building a drive-in in my home and want an intro reel back to the 1950s. Thanks.
I can edit the part you want and email it to you, but I will need your email address. You want it in mp4 movie right?
Allstars Sports Marketing is that true??????!!!..you’re building a drive-in in your home???????!!!!!!!!!!!
so relaxing
Drive Inn movies were great. You could tail gate or sit out in lawn chairs and watch the movie. A lost art!
Tim, I like to play these kinds of intermission ad collections on my bedroom tv when I go to bed at night, because they are so relaxing.
Just what exactly was in those "Guess What?" boxes? 😟
Your guess is as good as mine. Sorry I don't know.
hahahahaha ... ok, enough of the coffee ad!!! lol
Yep I have had enough Caffeine toooooo.
Get rid of smartphones! Bring back drive in theaters!!
Yep when I was young they was a lot of them. Now?????
I understand the sentiment, Jeff, but, of course, smartphones are going nowhere.
Smart phones are here to stay. Just wish Drive In Theaters would come back.
GREAT MEMORIES!! WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED TO SOCIETY???
All went down hill fast didn't it
@@bwcpublishing SO SAD!!
Kind of a cheesy clock shell.
Yep lol
So no Nachos were served yet?
I don't remember any
@@bwcpublishing not even around the snack bar up to your future?
Although Nachos were invented in 1940, they didn't become a movie snack until the early 80's.
I love sno cones
What flavor
@@bwcpublishing cherry or strawberry
@@sherryhannah9262 I like strawberry
They replaced Lime flavor with Green Apple.
When did they stop calling it ‘Pizza pie’ instead of just ‘Pizza’?
I think some places still do. Guess it just depends on where you are. I also think Pizza means pie in Italian.
at 3:21 that's the guy from Saturday night live in the early years who played that Italian priest. Father Guido Sarducci the actor was (Don Novello)
Thanks, I didn't notice that. If you find out his name let us know.
Father Guido Sarducci the actor was (Don Novello)
Thanks for the info
These films are from my collection and have been pirated over and over for the last 20+ years - but I am the authority on them. The date on the "Popcorn Weasel" clip is 1959... Don Novello was in school in Ohio in 1959. This film was made in Colorado Springs.
That's definitely NOT Don Novello. These films date from the mid to late1950s, Novello was a teenager then.
Cool😊
Thanks I have been to many Drive in movies in my time

a nice hot coffee and some cookies after a shower and then getting ready to read the next chapter then bed.
We use to take folding chairs with us to sit outside and watch the movies.
@@bwcpublishing doing the Summer my Mom and I with a Friend go to a out side Music Concert for free at the parks and on the 4th of July we watch the Fire works and we bring food and drinks and Chairs.
@@sethcarlow8363 sounds like a lot of fun
@@bwcpublishing it is fun and have a nice weekend and the week a head.
@@sethcarlow8363 I agree!
Men had deeper voices at that time. There must be something in our water today. Men seem more girly now.
Times have changed
It's the women now that have the booming voices. Sweet and pretty are out; bossy and bitchy is in.
