I'm surprised that they'd show cartoons of people breaking into houses to people who have gone to a drive-in and probably brought the whole family....leaving the house empty.
Just in case you're wondering what intermission is it the previews that play commercials which gives you time to buy snacks, food, drinks, etc... It tells you how much time is left so you can pick up your items
Love these old ads. They are great. Am going to get our big screen and projector set up so we can do Drivein in The Living room. Complete with snacks
Did you do that, Dorothy?
Me too
Bruh why is this bringing back memories I'm physically incapable of having?
Wow! This makes me want to open up my own drive in.
You an' me both
Hey, if you have a spare $200,000, it might be a fun project.

They did say, "just in case you're wondering"
The hot chocolate ad promo would be seen in the WQED Pittsburgh History series special "Stuff Thats Gone".
So is "Eskimo Pie" [8:22]. It's now available as "Edy's Pie".
Nothing like going to the Drive-in just to get hit over the head during Intermission with a "go to church" PSA.
It was a part of the community service type stuff that they did back then. Most people weren't offended, I expect.
They really wanted you to buy stuff lol
hahahahahaha great adds....I think I'm going for a Coke...
Back in a time when America was way different. So far from what it is now. Sad very sad. Innocent times then to life was way easier.
I don't know about easier, but simpler.
