Hi A&M, thanks for this video. We are heading to Hanoi in 2 weeks. I see the weather forecast it’s like raining almost every day. Is the rain mostly heavy temporarily then drizzle… etc? I don’t like to carry umbrella but I feel poncho is too warm to wear in summer. Thanks
Hi, when we were there in late May / early June there were sudden downpours that lasted from a few minutes to a couple of hours but never all day. The rain would be extremely heavy so we never left our hotel without a raincoat. An umbrella would be difficult to use especially in the Old Quarter where the streets are narrow and there are various street stalls to walk around. It is very hot but a poncho or raincoat would be easier to manage and it will worth it to not get soaked while your seeing the sites! Hope you have a great time!
