The bandaged finger is the result of a skinned knuckle while performing a glissando (sliding up the keyboard) during a previous take.

Never knew about Buddy before today! My grandfather never mentioned him in our 17+ years of close conversations. Guess he was a bit too selective. Buddy was a good singer, and even better as a pianist! Wow! What a great find! And bless his heart for his determination.
Sorry you discovered Buddy so late. He’s been performing in Vegas and TV since the late 50’s a real class act….

Great pianist. We also love his singing. He is a great interpreter of the the Great American Song Book. Right up there with Sinatra, Como, Cole and of course Crosby (the daddy of then all).
