    According to Universe Today, Spectroscopic emission lines from the binary pair strongly suggest the system is in fact inclined 30°-40° (possibly as much as 45°) away from us. This means we are not looking down the barrel of this cataclysmic event. It seems, after further research, our planet will be just fine! I just thought people watching this older video should know the latest news on this, hopefully it helps them sleep better!

      Good point, also it's unknown if a GRB has occured or will occur within the Milky Way. Knowledge of GRBs comes from galaxies with different metallicity than our own.

    Further research has shown that it's axis is 35-40 degrees away from Earth. Also, it's metalicity is higher than we expected, so it might only be a supernova and produce no GRB, which is harmless at this distance. So, you can sleep well once again until we discover another apocalypse candidate. Good night ;)

      Nibiru is bullshit. There is a 9th planet, Planet IX, but it's incredibly far beyond Neptune, while Nibiru is a brown dwarf (as long as retards won't change the theory again) which does not exist. There won't be asteroid collisions caused by it and it won't kill us, because it's made up for cheap views. Stupid sheep believe everything without thinking. Not even mentioning that this theory changed about 5 times since 2012 .

    I love listening to Michio Kaku, he's so imaginative and optimistic about our hellish and literally "out of this world" imminent demise. Whether it's gamma ray burst or aliens building a dyson sphere around KIC 8462852 it's always a spine tingling thrill. That is until you realize that like a horror movie, it's just not real and breath sigh of relief along with a pinch of disappointment, that the thrill is gone for now. nel 2009 sono stati ottenuti ulteriori dati per via spettroscopica sul sistema stellare, che suggeriscono che l'asse della stella sia invece inclinato di 30-40° rispetto alla Terra. In questo caso la Terra non sarebbe colpita dal lampo gamma anche se l'esplosione della supernova dovesse produrlo

    Interestingly WR-104 is located in the constellation of Sagitarius a. The Romans depicted this constellation 2000 years ago as a half man half beast pulling on an arrow. Did they know something-was Christ aware of this. And this binary star system which is in this cosmic dance behaves just like that. Energy of the pull back-the stars getting closer and closer together until they collide and then the release of the gamma ray burst. The firing of the arrow !!!!!

Could we use the filter system the owner of 5 hour energy drink created to fill under ground with water using the ocean? Hydroponics , under ground mining for gold, diamonds minerals to help shield from these rays? ...if this was the case , I'm sure if we pulled all our resources and used every being on this earth, I can guarantee you will will survive.

  • @fernandobernardo6324
    @fernandobernardo6324 7 лет назад

    This would be a huge problem but the probability is very very very very very very low. When an object is thousands of light years away a 1 mm. difference on pointing will correspond to really huge distances on destination. Also the chance of this happening on our lifetime is low. Michio Kaku is over exaggerating this very small risk and he knows that. Beside that the gamma ray bust last seconds and would only hit half earth billions would probably die. It could be a good thing actually from the point of those generations with recent technology and a not so full of people world. It would be disastrous but not ending life on earth or killing all humans. Life is very very adaptable and this particular risk is diminute.

    • @burrbonus
      @burrbonus 6 лет назад

      Your probability needs one more "very."

  • @ronaldgarrison8478
    @ronaldgarrison8478 4 года назад

    The most feasible protection is probably a mirror in space. Its diameter would have to be at least that of the Earth. It would have to be thick enough to stop gamma rays (several centimeters of lead, or the equivalent). And it would need to be positioned in the right place when the time comes. That's a big, big, honking space project. It won't require discovering any new laws of physics. It will require a whole industrial infrastructure in space. Definitely something to get your ass out of bed in the morning.
    I can't think of anything else that would prevent catastrophe. If this actually does happen, that is. But of course, it probably won't, in our lifetimes. But it might. Geez.
    Finally, we have a solid, practical reason for a space program on a serious, Buck Rogers scale. Enough of this farting around with three-man space capsules, propelled to the Moon with kerosene. Time for the big leagues. There will be many having orgasms over this prospect. Hey, at some point, I could be one of them! But for now, we need a lot more information about all this sort of thing. And I don't recommend finding out most of it from Coast To Coast.
    The revolution will not be televised. It will be right up there in the sky.
    Sweet dreams.

    PS: Always keep your car's gastank between 3/4 and "full", because hen this event strikes the planet by surprise [Matthew 24:36-39* "took them all away" & Isaiah 51:6 "people died like flies"]. That's because gas stations require electric current to poump gasoline, and electric transformers will be fried in that day. The idea is to ":get out of Dodge" as rapidly as possible as people will be at each other's throats ["nations will roar like the roaring of mighty waters", Isaiah 17:10-13*] looking for a way or or looking for food or transportation fortheir starving and sqweeling offspring! [And many have guns in the city]. My advice is to head north, for the furthur north you gpo, the lower the angle that the ultraviolet rays come in at. And there are less people way up north in the Canadian wilderness.
    Whoever survives all this for a decade will be among those who repopulate th "new heavens" and the "new earth" --- wherin dwell RIGHTEOUSNESS.
    And all the former troubles [fake news, communists committing murder in the dark, rebellions and kickiung god in the face, then saying you've "done nothing" will be all be "forgotten like a bad dream".
    Shalom [and I do mean to those nearby,as well as to those far away-- Isaiah 57, last verses].
