I feel like the meta is always to build up your own stash of coins and stars, then duel the person you need to have win and foist everything over onto them
Out of the 5 duel mini games, 3 are guaranteed a tie if both players are trying to lose, 1 is most likely a tie, and the last is RNG dependent. Not the best strategy.

The problem with this premise is that losing often means just not playing. The real test is winning by getting second place. Then you have to do pretty well, just not THAT well.
You gave me an idea Jacob... "you win by coming in second place" and "you win by coming in 3rd place." Meaning, you actually want to actively be in the placement named. So in 2nd place video, you have an ACTUALLY real desire to do well enough to be in 2nd, but not so good as to be in first. Also, in terms of Boo, you must steal coins from the 1st place (or 2nd place if you're in 1st) player and if you can steal a star from someone, you HAVE to steal that star, even if it'd put you into first, same thing would go for normal stars, if you get to Toadette, you MUST buy the star if you have enough coins. This would apply to both placements, but, the point is, you WANT to NOT be in first, but instead WANT to make sure that you end the game in 2nd for the first title I put there, and 3rd for the second idea... Literally it means, you want to do well, but not so well that you aren't in that place anymore. And if you're the above the spot, you wanna try and ensure that you do poorly enough to land in the specified placement. It'd mean that you wanna win some or most of the minigames, but not all of them, you'd want stars, but not more than current 1st place, same thing for coins, but you can't refuse to steal gold or stars and must always steal a star when capable and MUST buy stars as well, this way you can still get screwed, but only by being the MOST successful (or top two most successful players for the 3rd place concept), I feel it'd introduce a TON of Chaos and strategy and you could probably make a good few videos out of it. Hope this gets seen... I think it'd be a fun watch.
You pointed to the wrong ones for the Mario kart 8 deluxe top tiers. Birdo, Yoshi, and Peach all have the same stats and are considered part of the best combo in the game. Rosalina doesn’t share those stats.
Peach technically has a few different stats but she’s basically the same as yoshi and Birdo but they have a few minute differences people consider better
@@foggy8298 where are you getting that info? Every source I have looked at shows the exact same stats for Birdo, Yoshi, and Peach (along with Daisy and Peachette). The only reason that Yoshi is more popular (from what I can tell) is that he has more color options (and maybe a marginally smaller hit box? But I couldn’t confirm that either way) and because the people who popularized the current meta combo used Yoshi.

Heres how we make it more chaotic. Randomly assign who you need to win and keep it secret. So you dont know who to pump up and aim to give good things to
Honestly, they should play this on a map with chance time. Because then it becomes a game of playing for first, and tactically switching to your target as late as possible. It's the risk-reward factor of pulling the trigger when you're in first, but not too early.
I think that having two pairs of two people who want to make the other person win (player 1 wants player 2 to win, player 2 wants player 1 to win, player 3 wants player 4 to win, and player 4 wants player 3 to win) would be interesting. The beginning would be the pairs making a truce to work together then betrayal at the end

I think sometimes they're getting caught up in trying to lose they forget their objective is to make another player win. Like in hide and sneak they all agreed to make birdo win. Only one of them wnats birdo to win. The other two would actually prefer their team won because their team would include their target.
so if Roselina wins by Luigi winning and Luigi winning and he wins by birdo winning who can win by letting yoshi win and yoshi wins by giving it to roselina… then who’s flicking the lights?
