Kirby Air Ride has a community scene in which we play online via Netplay. We use the Hack Pack mod from Unclepunch for extra settings and improved gameplay experience. The community hosts tournaments occasionally. Very fun.
I love that we've slowly seen Jaiden shift from her "Family Friendly would never say a swear" era to her "F*CK SH*T IDGAF WTF" era and with Wildcard we're seeing more and more of it and I'm absolutely here for it~

Actually it's the emulator that's modded to enable online multiplayer of gamecube games. It's called Dolphin Netplay, or something like that
I played it online using an original gamecube, plus a PC on the same LAN running a program that let the PC pretend to be my opponent's GameCube
it wasn't as bad as Smash ultimate netcode

@@psymar well of course playing "online" with a PC at your own house shouldn't lag lol, it's when you get 2+ states away (in Smash or in general) that you start to see lag, or if you just have bad connection

Bro....same.I played this with my younger brother all the time. City Trial was bar none one of my favorite experiences in gaming. Exploring the world, getting the legendary vehicles, jousting on the railroad lines by crasing into each other until one of us lost their car....it was all so fun.

Well, if it makes you feel worse, Kirby Air Ride came out 21 years ago, meaning this game is old enough to drink in America. So we're not like OLD but this can certainly be considered "retro".

Saying that Kirby Air Ride was a part of my childhood would be an understatement; I have more play time in this than in Double Dash (which I 100%’d) just from City Trial alone. So it made my day to see four funny content creators give the game some love by duking it out in the city.
Also that performance against Dedede met my expectations.
I love Kibry and my favorite content creators Jayden, Fryus, Schmidt, and CaptainAdolescent.

I LOVED this game mode growing up. If youre doing King Deede, its worth compromising and letting one person get Hydra or Dragoon. Sad nobody got either

Friendly fire is another issue with the Dedede fight. NEVER get too close to a player that has a copy ability, and avoid grabbing the Bomb and Mike abilities entirely.
This was a childhood favorite game of mine. Still have yet to get all 3 car pieces together... also would love to see a kirby air-ride rouge-like gmae for maximum chaos.
They only appeared in certain color crates iirc. You had to gun for them early and certain random events made it easier or harder to retrieve. I think me and my brother only ever got the Dragoon like twice meanwhile the Hydra we found at least 5 times after figuring out how the spawns work. Absolute monster of a vehicle when at full charge. Basically deletes anything it crashes into.

just setting the time limit to infinite and run around doing random shit

the team who have created this mod really brought back the magic of just hangin with the bros runnin around doin weird kirby shit and i LOVE IT

I used to play this game every weekend with my friends for like 4 years. We had our own metas, favorite stars, favorite items, and we would play free roam for hours upon hours until one of us went crazy with max power and started the murder apree.
Probably since if the most fun memories i have as a teenager.
This is why Jaiden just sits in her room with her birds drawing funny little cartoons while slowly losing sanity!

I used to play this so much, it's such a fun concept but really rough when someone just has the best stats for a certain challenge
You cant approach Dedede from the front or he instantly swings his hammer. He's coded like Sword Kirby, which slashes at any nearby enemies in front/beside Kirby.

Everyone is just speaking about a typo. And here i am just happy to see a Kirby Air Ride video. And i´m sad because they dislike my three favorite "karts". Slick Star (the yarn-ball-thing), Winged Star (the white flying thing) and Bulk Star (which was in the woods while two of them didn´t have a vehicle).
Kirby Air Ride was one of the best Game Cube games and we played it a lot. And we did have four players most of the time, so it was a lot of fun.
Of all games that I think deserve a remake or sequel, I would LOVE to see Kirby Air Ride get some real love and respect 🙏
