Also, if I remember correctly when you're using this exotic you do have solar wings (like the ones when you cast daybreak) while it holds you midair. Looks cool, and makes your hotbox a lot harder to see in pvp
I think the fragment that gives you extra duration on solar buffs when you get solar weapon kills could be great with this build since you can get restoration x2 from a healing nade and keep it for ages
If you're running Heat Rises, you wanna run Strafe Glide. Burst Glide is faster without Heat Rises active, but when it is active, Burst is actually slower than Strafe. I dunno why Bungie hasn't fixed this, but yeah. Granted, Wings of Sacred Dawn give you the hang time you need, so unless you really want the melee energy, I'd swap Heat Rises for Touch of Flame. If your goal is to be an AC-130, you're too high up to make meaningful use of Incinerator Snap, and Celestial Fire is just not very strong to compensate. Running Touch of Flame instead will also keep your game loop flowing more easily since you won't have to spend time chewing on grenades, and you don't need to juggle the Heat Rises timer. TLDR: Either run [Strafe Glide, Heat Rises, Icarus Dash] for better air movement, or [Burst Glide, Touch of Flame, Icarus Dash] for better damage/healing.
Got it, I think that I'll try swapping to strafe, this was really my first time playing around with heat rises seriously haha! I mainly reference AC-130 when using Xeno haha! But I appreciate all of the feedback and useful tips!
@@iimbberr1863 No worries! The unfortunate part is that we've been forced to use some kind of "air matters" aspect since 2/3 of them are like that. It leads to a lot of forced experimentation with how glides make them better. Stuff like snap canceling, dash gliding, and all the sword skating fun all benefit from the interactions I talked about above. Heat and Strafe pair best for super speed tricks.
I also gotta say as a hardcore warlock main, strafe just feels better at all points to use to me. I understand the burst strat for sure but strafe gives you so much more control. @@iimbberr1863 great video!
