Literally 3 correct decisions by the umpire, does not at all belong in this video. (1) Clarke clearly gets a foot to it - not HTB, (2) Hill takes 5 steps and then is run down, clear prior and a clear HTB, (3) Butler aggressively motions and yells at umpire, clear 50 for dissent. An extremely unlucky passage for Saints but perfect umpiring. The Clarke play on call was particularly fantastic by the ump.

Agree with D C here, even if it wasn't touched off the boot it would've been tough to distinguish whether it did or did not. Umpires should always play the lesser if not sure therefore it's the correct call.

You’ve missed the worst call ever from about 15 years ago, Essendon vs Fremantle. Matthew Carr for Fremantle kicked toward goal but it went for a behind but Carr got dumped after he kicked the ball. The main umpire runs out and tells the other umpire to ask the player whether he wants to take the kick again, so the second umpire asked………..the offending Essendon player, who then kindly declined the offer. 😂 Several Fremantle players tried to tell the umpire he’d asked the wrong player but he wouldn’t change his decision.

alright i umpire footy and this is based on the current rules (so could be different depending on the time it was):
0:00 Correct decision, bombed it forward blindly, no teammate there. Insufficient intent to keep the ball in.
    0:35 Wrong decision, skill error.
1:05 Correctly disposed of the ball, must've been so loud the players couldn't hear "play on handball".
1:18 Wrong decision, incorrect disposal. Edit: after further review a kick was made by Stephenson, correct decision.
1:31 Missed high contact call, turns into incorrect PIB decision.
1:54 yeah im not gonna comment on that one.. both calls incorrect
2:19 Wrong decision, should be a mark.
3:04 Tough to tell, I think he might've gotten a foot on it (always better to pay the lesser), turns into correct HTB decision, into correct 50m penalty
3:25 Strike to the guts is prohibited contact, whether it was a strike or not is hard to tell because of the TV angle.
3:39 Incorrect decision, sufficient pressure in order to rush the behind.

You can add the holding the ball paid to Powell-Pepper against Scholl in the Showdown last Saturday night. P-P was standing 1m behind Scholl after Scholl had taken a good mark in deep defence. P-P wasn’t required to clear the area and stayed 1m behind Scholl. Astatine (At) is the rarest naturally occurring element on Earth, with an estimated total amount in the crust of less than 1 ounce (28 grams). It is a member of the halogen group, and is chemically similar to iodine. Astatine is a highly radioactive element, with a half-life of only 8.1 hours. This means that half of any given sample of astatine will decay into another element in 8.1 hours.
Astatine was first discovered in 1940 by a team of scientists at the University of California, Berkeley. They were bombarding bismuth with alpha particles, and they observed a new element being produced. Astatine was named after the Greek word for "unstable."
Astatine is a solid at room temperature, and it has a melting point of 302 degrees Celsius and a boiling point of 337 degrees Celsius. It is a black or grayish-black solid, and it has a metallic luster. Astatine is a very toxic element, and it is easily absorbed through the skin.
Astatine has no known practical uses. It is too rare and too radioactive to be used in any commercial applications. However, it has been studied for possible use in cancer therapy. Astatine-211, a radioactive isotope of astatine, has been shown to be effective in killing cancer cells. However, the use of astatine-211 is limited by its short half-life.
Astatine is a fascinating element, but it is also a very dangerous one. It is the rarest naturally occurring element on Earth, and it is too radioactive to be used in any practical applications. However, its study may lead to new and innovative cancer therapies.
Here are some additional facts about astatine:
    Astatine is a non-metal.
Astatine is the heaviest of the halogens.
Astatine is a highly radioactive element.
    Astatine has a short half-life.
Astatine is a very toxic element.
Astatine has no known practical uses.
Astatine has been studied for possible use in cancer therapy.

There’s a reason. AFL is one of the hardest, if not the MOST hardest, sports in the world to umpire. Every decision has to be called in a split second, there’s no time to think unlike sports like cricket. Umpires are human, and humans make mistakes. For every mistake they make they get 100 right, in fact we should be praising them as no one else in the world can umpire a game like this and cop the abuse they receive. Don’t like my answer? Then try being an umpire yourself, it’s not as easy as you think it is. Even in Junior footy.

Why call it descent, such arrogance, umpires are becoming more and more superior over time like, dare I say a super race. The players make game entertaining, the umpires need to do their job. Bring in umpires override from clear vision when needed
It may slow the game but I’d rather it be fair than fast
