- Nearly two hours of box opening, jaw wagging, cigar chomping and bottle emptying; what more could you ask for on a Monday morning?
BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
Tom, Deb, and Ob would like to thank everyone who have been kind enough to send in gifts. Seriously, you guys are just the best.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.
FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls RUclips "the U-TOOBZ".
Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have a amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?!
A: See "A" above.
Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

I believe that little Göring silverpiece, is a pill-box.
Thank you guys for another great episode!
Best regards from Sweden 🇸🇪
The old hunting cutlasses and the SS and NPEA daggers were really nice but the Undine SA dagger was the queen of the video! Undine was a water nymph who becomes human when she falls in love with a man but is doomed to die if he is unfaithful to her. She usually kills the unfaithful man first. 😮
Loved the old hunting swords , my new favorites . I`ll re-watch that unboxing about a dozen times , thanks for showing them .
A note from Germany: Those ong knifes are called , Hirschfänger '( literally: deerfinalstabber). Was from 17th to early 19th century the sign, the wearer is a nobleman, a forresty official or professional hunter. In 1848/49 this changed, and every hunter ( non hunters too) could own one, and for the first time german forrestry officials got regulated models. Was carried up to 1940s. Today such Hirschfänger are sometimes still seen at hunters ceremonies or as present/gift for a honourable hunter.
My local liquor store doesn’t carry Imperial. What is a comparable whiskey? I want to watch this while sipping on a similar drink. Planning to stop at the liquor store on my way home from work. Thanks. 🥃🥃🥃
Thanks for that! 🥃
Seagrams 7
Seagrams 7 it is! (Sorry Engineer1897, but I gotta go with the master.)

Merry Xmas and a happy new year, to all of you. Let's hope it's going to be more great shows to see in 2024. All the best fro Phil Colley in the UK.
Another great video from the professor of all things daggers. Thanks for sharing.
You guys did it again . Thx for some great entertainment 😊😊
Hello you guys ! I'm from Belgium and I watch all your videos since you started the channel on YT. A couple of years ago I had that same R.K.Fahne from maker L.O.H. - 80cm & 135cm in my collection. I sold it right away after a short period because I noticed that that particular flag could very easily be found and purchased over whole Europe. Every militaria-dealer I visited online had a lot of those for sale. Very strange !!!
I too am very skeptical of those markings, but I'm only the video editor and as such my opinion isn't asked for!
@@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria Thank you for your reply, sir. You must be his son Ob I guess ? Sometimes I can hear at the tone of your voice, while you're behind the camera
shooting the DTC-episode, that you have your doubts. But as long nothing is proven 100% if an item is fake or not, well the show must go on because that's the concept of
the show. Many greetings from Belgium, I love you all.
The little round silver box is probably a pill box. My mother had a very similar one.
Hunting daggers very nice .
German name is Hirschfänger.
Hello, another interesting video !!
Great stuff as always Wittmann !! Keep em coming!!!
Awesome ! Here we go 🙂

Winter is here! I do go into the basement enjoying a glass of "Old Barn Owl" bourbon and watching the furnace which is the poor mans fireplace! When are the sales coming so that I might unwrap a "treasure" while in the cellar???? Soon I hope!
Greetings From FISHBURN Co DURHAM 💚 n peace always Carl n keri👍was that a RING BOX
"The one that says Bob Burns Cutters?" Quality content as always. Happy holidays and to your health, Cheers!

I do quite like those hunting cutlasses. They are my favorite.
Yesssss i like long video's ❤
Fantastic video Tom & you sure get some unique things. I really enjoy these videos. I have an army dagger like the one in the video in our Museum with a broken swaz & was wondering if you have extra parts if you would have one for sale.Thank You.
love the long vids
Aschaffenburg is a town in Germany. Please read about the Hammelburg Raid or Task Force Baum.
Monday, Monday, Just love that day.
Great vid boys. Can you let us know about whether you decided to keep the undine SA please, and how many you have in ur collection?
We’ve all been there so many times!!
Ps. The decision gets harder when you have two pieces that you like different things about.
im a fairly new subscriber. my first observation is I hope that Mr. Wittman doesnt cut himself with the razor knife. I wince everytime he cuts with the blade coming toward his other hand.
My other comment is a question, all these packages full of all these incredible artifacts ... are they sold to Wittman Antiques ?
Biggest show in the world is Ciney, Belgium .
I'm on vacation this week let's go😊
It's a good year to finally get my wife that SS.
Come on hobe 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
❤❤ First 😂.. thank you Sir
The small silver box is a pill box
I hope someone can help me. I bought a German WW2 Short Fireman's Bayonet in very good condition and the knife has a maker mark HK in a dotted round circle. The only thing I know is this maker mark is very rare but is there Anyone know who the company behind the HK is? if you know please let me know. Greetings Arthur from the Netherlands
I have asked this before and never got a answer, does ob have a collection? If so could we ever see a preview?
Ob does not have a collection.
Tom reads all your comments but isn’t technically savvy enough to reply. Ob reads all the comments but distrusts the internet.
If your dads got a collection like his dad OB would only feel inferior 🥴 mind you if your dad has a collection it’s as good as yours 😂
Thank you for the reply@@redmondial ! I'm sorry we don't have more comprehensive moderation on the channel.
Thanks for getting back.
Tom,
Next episode, tell us why you call your son “ob “ instead of “Bob”.
It's too bad that the Politian's back East have ruined gun collecting for so many. But keep voting Democrat! We're in such great shape!
Much has been ruined by politics in this country, and will continue to be.
You are correct! Love the unboxings!@@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria
Blo yer nose Tom! 😄
Why don’t you blow yours!
Pull yourself together Tom you are losing it. you would make a good president of the USA .
