Personal recommendation ko sa inks: 1. Pilot Iroshizuku - I like the shade of blue hehe 2. Noodler's X-Feather - Comes in black and blue. Works with most paper, even non-fpen friendly ones. Syempre kapag sobrang mura yung papel you'll get bleed through. Added bonus sa Noodler's is that most of their inks are "bulletproof" and are resistant to fading.

Wow!
Thank you, sis. It’s a struggle to talk about handwriting when it’s something we all have done since we were all little children. I hope you find this useful. 😊❤️🙏🏻
I’m now a lawyer sir lex. That lamy safari 1.1 stub nib signed the petition to take the bar. Pilot custom 823 B nib signed the roll. Thank you for this inspiration sir lex. I’m just happy to share my fountain pen journey.😊
Thank you so much sir for this video! I was one of the first batch who took the PhilSAT in 2017 unfortunately I failed and was not able to enter law school because of that I was very devastated and discouraged. Your videos gave me inspiration on trying again. I am really waiting for this video of yours lalo na't ang penmanship ko wala talagang karapatan maging abogado heheh Thank you so much Atty.! More power to po!
As I've mentioned in previous episodes, the best time to go to law school is the time you actually enter. Trust that you're exactly where you need to be, at exactly the right moment. Trust that God is writing a beautiful ending to your law school story. God bless you, kapatid. 😍🙏🏼❤️
Salamat, kapatid. If a cartoon character like me, can show people that it's possible to learn the law, and enjoy the four maybe five years, instead of lumping it into a treadmill of endless cases, doctrines, codals and recitations, then perhaps there's hope. Hope that law school can bring out the best in each of us. Next target is 10,000 subs. I know it's ambitious. That's about a quarter of the entire law school population in the country. Just happy to co-journey with each every one of you, every Friday.
Thank you po for making this video.
Sailor Profit Black Luster is made for law school students, to be used in Bar exam. The pen 's design is front-heavy, so that fast long time writing is possible without fatigue.
I make it a habit that whenever I travel during weekends, I listen to your videos esp ang mga audio codals. God bless you atty. l will keep in touch with your upcoming videos.
Salamat, kapatid. Thank you for making the videos here your travel buddy. Thank you for watching this episode. Next week, we'll talk about stress-free productivity and how to get things done for law school. ❤️
okay na po! i already placed an order in National Bookstore online shop, ako na rin ang sumagot sa tanong ko haha. reading others comments is really helpful. i hope this time gagana na yung pen ko. sana po mag post kayo ng video about common grammar mistakes and how we can find a solution to this common yet serious problem.
I recall Atty. Navarette’s comments on my test paper to use extra paper if I have more explanation answers to each questions so I can write legibly and more understandable. But he still gave me UNO☝️. It’s my dream to be a Lawyer but my excuses/ procrastination wether justifiable or not. Now I’m in my late 30s every year Bar result was announced my heart is crying I want to be a lawyer but I don’t know still when to start.
Thank you, kapatid. Thank you for the social proof you bring week after week, with thoughtful comments or thought-provoking questions. I always look forward to hearing from you every Friday. Next week's episode is all about the prep work we need for the midterm exams.
I use Inox, the cheapest one for exams, but I don't write in cursive, more out of comfort than anything else. I practiced with the fountain pens you can buy sa stationary section ng SM Dept Store. Kasi kuripot ako. Lol
Writing in print will always be prettier to a certain extent just because our eyes are more at ease with print as opposed to script fonts. No law textbook uses script. However, the argument can be made that cursive is faster, perhaps just as neat and given enough practice, more elegant. Saludo ako sa pagtitipid mo. The first fountain pens I owned cost me around 18 to 32 pesos from the Corona Store along CM Recto. They wrote a lot like V5s. For instant pageant-quality handwriting, go for the recommended fountain pens in this episode. You may answer like the village idiot but at first glance, it’ll look like an absolute show-stopper. Hope this helps. 😊❤️👌🏻
I never imagined this would be a very significant comment sakin (kanina) during the interview, atty... Sabi pa, practice using the kinder notebook with the blue, red, blue lines using strokes...I thought it was a harsh joke at first, pero, makes sense nung sinabing during the bar exams, some of the readers might be senior citizen c. justices....sayang kung instead of 10 you'll end up having only 1 pt. dahil hindi na tatapusing basahin ang narrative mo...sayang naman, ^_^ Thanks sa F.pen tips po...Godbless.
You are correct, bro. Most of them are seniors with failing eyesight. They've also done their fair share of reading for law school and for practice. Large letters, even spacing and consistent strokes should do the trick. God bless you, bro and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Good for you, sis. My first fountain pen was also from Parker, a hand-me-down from my old man's engineering board exam from the 70s. I didn't use it. The Sheaffer Calligraphy Fine is an excellent all-arounder, it's forgiving and nearly idiot-proof. It's also very cheap compared to other entry-level pens. Thank you for stopping by, sis.
Hi, kapatid. May ganyang Professor din kami before. I didn’t follow her. This was my system and I wouldn’t change it for her class. Ended up acing the exam. Much later, she says she disliked the fountain pen as a student, and she’s annoyed bu students who end up with a worse penmanship after moving to a fountain pen. 😊❤️💯
Salamat, bro. My handwriting is average but with the right tools, it has helped me score at least ten percent better for my exams in law school. Invest in your handwriting and it'll pay you back forever. 😍🙏🏼❤️
Complete video - from fountain pen selection, writing proper, and fountain pen maintenance. Need to re-watch it several times. My handwriting is a combination of cursive and print.
It's easy to be addicted to collecting fountain pens, and later on calligraphy. This video isn't that, YET but it's for everyone to appreciate the night-and-day difference that a reliable pen and a good nib can make. Malaking bisyo, kapatid.
Salamat, sis. Thank you for being with me every Friday. Almost every week you say thank you, and I know that behind you stand a handful of others who wish to thank me. Thank you for being here, because by being here you're telling me that the extra work I do (and sometimes the team we have here) matters. You make all of the writing and production time worth it. 😍🙏🏼❤️ Next week's episode is all about our prep work for the midterm exams for any law school in the Philippines.
Very helpful po especially for aspiring law students :)
Conventional wisdom says, write where you can score well. My recommendation is always cursive because it is the more efficient way of transferring ink to paper. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion baka mag-practice po ako ulit.. 1st year student pa lang po ako sa law school and I thank u a lot po for guiding us, mga novice sa mundo ng law school. 😊🙏💕
The fine won't write the same way the 1.1 will, that said you can find it in most National Bookstores. The ones I have on hand, I've purchased from branches that are out of the way, out of the U-belt, or out of the metro. Nagkakaubusan na daw. 😉
Hi Atty. Lex! I really appreciate this topic. I bought the lamy safari as you suggested kaso hindi available yung 1.1 mm nib sa national bookstores and Luis pen store ( i recommend this place kasi the staff was very knowlegeable with their product and I think she's the owner. Thanks :) Thanks
Hi, bro. Thank you for sharing. The 1.5mm nib is going to be too thick for most of our writing requirements in law school. The best talaga ang 1.1 ng Lamy. Yang 1.5 bubuka in a few weeks and it’ll be too thick. The problem is, madaling magkaubusan niyan. My recommendation is to be friends with your nearest NBS branch and leave your number. Ask to be contacted when stocks arrive. For December 2108 and January 2019, meron pang 1.1mm sa Ermita at sa NBS College. On sale ang ink nila and bottles are down to 350 per bottle. Sheaffer Blue-Black is 🔥
I just got TWSBI Eco from a friend, kaso Fine po yung nib nya which I used during the exams. I was wondering if you plan on making a series for an in dept discussion on how to take care of Fountain pens + usual issues with using it or tips and tricks in using one. Last exam kasi I got ink blots, I was wondering if that can be avoided. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your suggestions. My pen of choice has always been the Twsbi Eco and Twsbi Diamond. They’re not on this channel because they’re not accessible to a lot of law students. Fine is good as long as it’s the stub nib. The Lamy Safari 0.8mm is very, very close to the Diamond’s performance.
@@LexInMotion Ah I see. A lot of my classmates po use Lamy. Although pardon me, what do you mean by performance? And won't the stub nib cut the paper? It looks pretty sharp when I googled it kasi. Thank you po for answering ☺️
Left-handed ka po pala, Atty? You know...for me, left handers are unique!
Hello, sis. Oh, we have to adjust to the rest of the world - door knobs, school desks, spiral notebooks and even common hand tools. Fountain pens were required when I first came to law school. That has changed in the years that followed. Still, good penmanship is always, always sexy. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hi, kapatid. Thank you for sharing. I’ve always preached that cursive is the more efficient means to transfer ink to paper. In your case, go for printed. I’ve personally touched an 11th placer’s Bar booklets.
Sana nga it will work for me this 2019. Good luck s atin future Atty. Lex this November😇
Hi, kapatid. Thank you for reaching out. Minimum requirement ay sign pen. Best bet is the handwriting that will help your examiner understand your answer.
Salamat, kapatid. The merch store has been suggested during the summer survey and we hope it becomes a platform for us to help others more, now and in the future. Next week's episode is all about how to prepare for the midterms exam. Masyado pa bang maaga? We'll find out next Friday. ☺️
Ay for sure hindi masyadong maaga to prepare for midterms Dapat laging handa po sir Lex :) . You've directed our steps to the right track in our lawschool journey!
Good day po Atty. Will be taking the 2018 Bar po. I used yung parker po. Abot pa po ba if I will practice with the pen you recommended? If not, may maissuggest po kayong alternative pen? Thank you po.
Hi, sis. Thank you for reaching out. Oo, abot pa kapatid. You’ll still have plenty of time to practice. Sulat lang. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️💯
Thank you po Atty. Btw. I admire na you also share about health and fitness, esp about weight lifting haha. Natry ko din po for several months yung IF. More power po sa vlogs nyo. ❤️
Wow, thank you so much, kapatid. There’s an upcoming video on how to maintain your focus. There’s a good deal of discipline to be learned from the gym, and from the kitchen. Thank you, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hi Sir Lex! Magkaiba po ba ang grip and angle for ballpen kaysa fountain pen?
Hi, sis. Thank you for sharing. A Lamy Fountain pen is a marvellous piece of German engineering. It should work properly right out of the box. If it's scratchy, dry or otherwise chewing up your paper, there could be something wrong with the tines. The recommended nib here is the Lamy 1.1mm. I hope you get that. Send me some writing samples on Facebook. Pagtulungan natin yan.😊❤️🙏🏽
when people compliment me about my handwriting, lagi ko sagot "saan ko naman magagamit yung magandang sulat kamay ko?hindi nga nakatulong sa career ko" then napadpad ako sa video na to. is this a sign? LOL.
Im a right handed. I have a very small handwriting to the point that only me can read my notes.i will take my first midterm exam next month. Can you suggest a good fountain pen for beginners? I hope u'll read this before i take the exam. Thanks.
Hi, sis. Thank you for the question. The recommended fountain pens here are entry level pens, for the beginners. The Lamy Safari 1.1mm and the Sheaffer Skrip Calligraphy are cheap enough to try but will instantly improve your penmanship. There are cheaper pens but they will not have the same impact as a stub nib. Really small handwriting seldom brings success in law school. Remember that your professor was once a law student too. Lumabo na ang mata niyan kakabasa noong estudyante siya, and even more so in practice. I hope this helps, kapatid. Walang sagot sa maliit na sulat. Lakihan mo lang. Think of large letters as an investment towards helping you and your grades. I score 10% or better, given substantially the same answers, just because I write with large letters. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your midterm exams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
I also started with your hawak alien. It’s called a hook grip, once you get into fountain pens and calligraphy. Walang sagot sa kalkal chicken, kundi practice, practice, and more practice. In the process of improving your handwriting, make an effort to enjoy the journey. 😊👌🏻😉
Hi, bro. Thank you for the question. It really depends on what you're looking for in a review. If you're looking for mentoring and coaching, you won't find that in a school - although some of them are quick to ride the trend, or the unique selling points that review centers now offer. The best place to review for the bar, is the one that'll excite you, that'll make you jump out of bed. Hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams.
Hi sir Lex. May sheaffer po ako na fountain pen, and since d ako marunong gumamit ng fp before, nadidiinan ko yung pagsulat ko. Is there any way para po d ko yon madiinan? Thank you for the help!
I hear you, sis. When you begin your fountain pen journey, it’s like going back to the first grade. Make the honest effort to relax your writing arm. Don’t squeeze the pen, and keep your wrists relaxed. Hold it like a brush, write like you’re applying nail polish. The small ink blots that appear on the shiny parts of the pen are very normal. Wipe it off with a Kleenex and you’re good. Practice makes perfect. Corny but in this aspect of improving your law school performance, it’s very, very true. God bless you, kapatid. Thank you for watching this episode. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you. I was worried of smudge. Am a lefty and have a very small handwriting. Am looking for 0.7mm and smudge proof pens. My handwriting is legible but the smudge destroys everything.
There's always a solution to that. Find ink that dries nearly instantly. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
The Twsbi Diamond used to be my daily driver. It’s not included on the recommended pens because you need to pack two or three of them per bar Sunday. It’s going to be awfully expensive for the typical barista. Thank you for the question kapatid. 😊🙏🏻❤️
It’s always advisable to stick to a fountain pen once you’ve started. The mechanics of writing with a fountain pen are very distinct from the mechanics of writing with a pencil or rollerball or a sign pen. I use my fountain pens for school, work and all other writing needs.
There’s an old episode here on how to improve your handwriting for law school. I recommended two pens here. One of them you can buy for about 350 to 400 pesos. I hope you can watch it. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Fountain pens may or may not be required in law school but this is only my recommendation on how to improve your handwriting. You're free to choose whatever pen you want to use, but this is the system that works for me, and has worked for other members of the Lex in Motion Community. God bless you, sis and your law school dreams.
I don't know. I'm not into fountain pens. I mean, hindi ba sila impractical? Enlighten me attorney 😥 My pencraft sucks and I really really want to improve it. Can the pen help me?
Some say they're impractical but there's a good solid reason why they've been with us for over a hundred years. They work consistently and beautifully.
Sheaffer is available in most National Bookstore outlets. It’s the 1.1mm stub nib that’s hard to find. I’m trying out two pens that are more affordable and more accessible. If they work, and I hope they do, I’ll be sharing them with you 😊❤️🙏🏻
I get most of my Lamy Safaris and the stub nibs at most NBS outlets. There’s one store in particular where I’ve left my number and I ask to be called when the deliveries arrive. Hope this helps. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Some professor will require you to write in cursive. Others won’t. I preach cursive because it’s the most efficient way to transfer ink to paper. 😊❤️🙏🏻
The recommendation is always cursive, kapatid. It's a lot faster than writing in print, and with the RIGHT tools and the right amount of PRACTICE, it can be used to deliver your answers with maximum effect. It's the functional equivalent of a mic drop for the written exam - or you know - awkward feedback from the speakers. Hope this helps.
I have average handwriting. Coming from an all-boys high school, where drafting appeared to be the major subject (plus football), cursive has long left my system until I re-learned it on my first month in law school. I've been average since, until I switched to a fountain pen. It took a while for me to find the right balance between economy and reliability. There's a whole world of fountain pens, and some people spend in the tens of thousands. I don't indulge in that. I need consistency, hence my workman's recommendations of the Sheaffer Calligraphy Fine, and the Lamy 1.1 mm.
You'll learn again, soon enough. Do NOT however, make the mistake of copying someone else's handwriting as your own. Practice consistently and you'll find your font - the way that the blackboard texts you see each week were made using my handwriting. Made a font for Lex in Motion.
Instead of making my homework and studying, Im binge watching your videos lol
Personal recommendation ko sa inks:
1. Pilot Iroshizuku - I like the shade of blue hehe
Thank you attorney! You've really motivated me (to the highest level) na, aside from attaining the best version of ourselves, pwede ko rin palang i-apply ito sa handwriting ko 👌

Thank you so much po and God bless you and your family always!

@@ShutupNerd hi po! Yung last part po kasi hndi ko natapos .. yung math part hehe
I'm nervous to take that exam ma'am..is it hard ? Or just like the csc exam?
I'm an accountancy student. Just here to find motivation. Cause I know lawyers know to study effectively.
Thank you also Atty. You deserve to have a bunch of subscriber pa. More powers and more videos to come!

The cartoon and the accent makes me remember my neuro doc. Hahaha! So fun watching and learning bec of that.
Sailor Profit Black Luster is made for law school students, to be used in Bar exam. The pen 's design is front-heavy, so that fast long time writing is possible without fatigue.

okay na po! i already placed an order in National Bookstore online shop, ako na rin ang sumagot sa tanong ko haha. reading others comments is really helpful. i hope this time gagana na yung pen ko. sana po mag post kayo ng video about common grammar mistakes and how we can find a solution to this common yet serious problem.
Honestly, my penmanship is kalkal chicken. Kaya this video is a great help.
Thank you for sharing, kapatid. Mapapaganda mo rin yan. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you for this awesome video Atty. Lex more power to you and your family.
Good to know that writing in print is okay in law school since I forgot already how to write in cursive. Thinking about going to law school. 😁
Thank you Atty. Lex! Inaabangan ko po ito.

Good tips ,yea, here for the very first time love your channel ,let stay connected
Been using parker fountain pen since June. And medyo nasasanay na. But I will try sheaffer din someday. For the meantime, ipon ipon muna. 😂
Thanks for the tip po.
More power to you, Atty!
Sige po. I can use it naman ng mas matagal kesa sa v5.
Thank you for making this video Atty Lex ✨
Salamat din, sis. I hope it helps you improve your handwriting. 😊❤️🙏🏻

Thank you sir Lex! God Bless!
Salamat, sis. Thank you for being with me every Friday. Almost every week you say thank you, and I know that behind you stand a handful of others who wish to thank me. Ano po ba recommended nyo for the BAR Exams, writing in print or cursive po? Thank u, Atty. Lex and God bless u and ur channel even more! 😊
Conventional wisdom says, write where you can score well. My recommendation is always cursive because it is the more efficient way of transferring ink to paper. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻

Are fountain pens really required in law school?
Hi atty. I just ordered lamy safari thru shopee..
Salamat naman, Pachito. I hope you also get the 1.1mm stub nib. Yun talaga ang nagdadala. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Sir thankyu po sa video. May Lamy Fine ako, saan po mkakabili ng nib 1.1?
The fine won't write the same way the 1.1 will, that said you can find it in most National Bookstores. The ones I have on hand, I've purchased from branches that are out of the way, out of the U-belt, or out of the metro. Nagkakaubusan na daw. 😉
Thanks sir. Arellano kayo? Pa bar coach nmn po hahaha 😊
Thank you Atty.
You're welcome, kapatid and welcome na din sa Lex in Motion community. New episodes are posted every Friday. 😍🙏🏼❤️
Hi Atty. Lex! I really appreciate this topic. I bought the lamy safari as you suggested kaso hindi available yung 1.1 mm nib sa national bookstores and Luis pen store ( i recommend this place kasi the staff was very knowlegeable with their product and I think she's the owner.
I bought the 1.5 mm instead...
Thanks :)
Thanks
@@LexInMotion I'm not pursuing law school, but this video can help me in the future whenever I will do calligraphy! Thanks for this!

Hello Sir.
Hi, kapatid. Thank you for reaching out. Minimum requirement ay sign pen. Best bet is the handwriting that will help your examiner understand your answer.
Christian Pimentel ung paper po mejo glossy kaya choose a pen na hindi masyadong naglakabas ng ink like fountain pens
is it required to use fountain pen on exams?? or in any subjects in law school?
Hello po. Is it really required na cursive writing ang gamitin?
Where did you get your sheaffer? Available po ba yan sa Nationalbookstore? Ty

Hi @Rexlyn, I think you were one of the bar topnotchers for 2018 Bar Exam. Congrats Atty! =)
LOL.
Thank you for sharing, sis. I hope you put that to good use in law school. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion thank you for answering my question. God bless po. 😊
I also started with your hawak alien. It’s called a hook grip, once you get into fountain pens and calligraphy. Walang sagot sa kalkal chicken, kundi practice, practice, and more practice. In the process of improving your handwriting, make an effort to enjoy the journey. 😊👌🏻😉
Anu mas maganda atty? Review center or school based review centers?
Lex in Motion thank you! 😊

Hii! Just a quick question. Huhu thank you po in advance sa sasagot haha
No. Print handwriting is allowed. 😇

left handed si Sir Lex. hehe
Yes, kapatid. Part of the 10% of the population that struggles with dirty palms, door knobs and ratchet wrenches. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Atty. What can you say about twsbi eco/diamond 1.1mm?
The Twsbi Diamond used to be my daily driver. It’s not included on the recommended pens because you need to pack two or three of them per bar Sunday. It’s going to be awfully expensive for the typical barista.
Thank you for the question kapatid. 😊🙏🏻❤️
Atty Lex it is advise na po talaga na sheaffer na ang gagamitin sa araw-araw na klase?
It’s always advisable to stick to a fountain pen once you’ve started. The mechanics of writing with a fountain pen are very distinct from the mechanics of writing with a pencil or rollerball or a sign pen.
I use my fountain pens for school, work and all other writing needs.
There’s an old episode here on how to improve your handwriting for law school. I recommended two pens here. One of them you can buy for about 350 to 400 pesos. I hope you can watch it. 😊❤️🙏🏻
is it okay to buy LAMY Alstar fountain pen for law school, Atty?

I don't know. I'm not into fountain pens. I mean, hindi ba sila impractical? Enlighten me attorney 😥 My pencraft sucks and I really really want to improve it. Can the pen help me?
Some say they're impractical but there's a good solid reason why they've been with us for over a hundred years. They work consistently and beautifully.
Can I just use a g-tec pen :/
Exactly my thought! lol. Ngayon ko lang nalaman that this part can be so technical? Hehe
Others get by with the V5 and V7 but I stand by my recommendations. 😊❤️🙏🏻
San po ako makakbili ng sheaffer po?
Sheaffer is available in most National Bookstore outlets. It’s the 1.1mm stub nib that’s hard to find.
I’m trying out two pens that are more affordable and more accessible. If they work, and I hope they do, I’ll be sharing them with you 😊❤️🙏🏻
I get most of my Lamy Safaris and the stub nibs at most NBS outlets. There’s one store in particular where I’ve left my number and I ask to be called when the deliveries arrive.
Hope this helps. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion whoaa! thanks so much for the response Atty~~ God bless po ☺️

Some professor will require you to write in cursive. Others won’t. I preach cursive because it’s the most efficient way to transfer ink to paper. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion OMG! I think I need to go back the basic. Im not into cursive atty.

Noted on the recommendations attorney. ❤️
Hindi ko na alam mag-cursive 😥
You'll learn again, soon enough. Do NOT however, make the mistake of copying someone else's handwriting as your own. Practice consistently and you'll find your font - the way that the blackboard texts you see each week were made using my handwriting. Made a font for Lex in Motion.
2 months nalang attorney! 😭
Laban lang, kapatid. Magiging abogado ka rin. ❤️🙏🏼☺️
