In this episode, I have a bad scare day until I decide to rebel against Spencer and scare Mallory. Of course, when I did that, everyone in school (who all apparently LOVE Mallory, but they shouldn't be wasting love that could be used on me with HER ugh) started using Spence as a punching bag. Well, we had our own means of dealing with that...even though it was TOTALLY lacking in the hot sauce department.
It's a real shame that cartoon shows like this very rarely have "origin" episodes. I'd like to know how they met and how Billy died.

BreathingAMVs I don't even care that this is a year old I'm replying anyway. Any fandom out there will portray a show as more vibrant than it actually is. And a majority a pilot episodes can be lackluster. DTMG is light-hearted and fun. I would highly recommend this show to anyone.

i've gotta say, this show would be a lot more appealing if the animation style was different. i don't know if they're going for a specific "style," but it overall seems very lazy. most frames just kind of jump from one pose to the next without a smooth transition, and any smooth animation is just tweens and pans.
overall, i think the show is cute and funny, but looks very lazily-animated

Oh my God, these character's look so familiar. Spencer is Danny Fenton, Shanilla is Connie (From Steven Universe), Rajeev is Sheen Estevez (The 2d version from the Jimmy Neutron crossover), Mallory is Kim Possible (Bit of a stretch), and Billie is Scott Pilgrim.

Also a character being a darker skinned female with glasses is the only resemblance of Connie and Shanilla. Connie has black hair and wears a dress. She also doesn't have the dot.
And how in god's name do you think Rajeev looks anything like Sheen? They aren't even the same skin tone, literally the only similarity might be gel'd hair. In that case Johnny Bravo also looks like Sheen.
They were all a bit of a stretch.

This looks more like a fanimated short than something that would go on TV. There's clipped voices, iMovie sound effects, that weird squash and stretch stuff that Flash does... But, all and all, it's a pretty good show. I think if it had a higher budget, it would be golden. Here's to hoping for a revamp? c:

Man, this show's fandom REALLY has a talent at painting the show in a better light than it's worth. I saw a cute little AMV for it, and got curious. I had hoped this would be at least decent- maybe not as good as Gravity Falls or Star Versus the Forces of Evil, but at least watchable (kinda like Phineas and Ferb's later seasons), but between the mediocre animation, the annoying voices, and the bland, asshole characters, this show feels like it belongs on Nickelodeon. I don't know if it gets better later on, but frankly this opening ep is definitely less than stellar. No wonder this never made it to the states. Sorry if I offend anyone, but this is how I feel.

Jansci7G That's how I even found this series (I live in the US, so this show's not anywhere to be found). The shipping doesn't bother me- as far as I'm concerned, people can ship whatever they want. But I just don't know why people enjoy this series- it looks as bad as everything on modern Nickelodeon.
Luna D Well all i can say is that a lot of strong fans (such as myself) love this series because of Billy. He's awesome, fun, and adorkable. He completely steals the show. His antics are hilarious to watch especially with the more eps you see. 36 is one of my favorites :)

At least with Danny Phantom, it showed Danny's back story in the intro. This show; There is a ghost and we have wacky hijinks with him. That's all we get..

Jane Wright is BJC's cousin so maybe Jane and Spencer's mom are related and Spencer was introduced to BJC by introduced I mean discovered or his other family relatives told him about BJC. So as far as I now BJC is Spencer's uncle. BJC's reason of death is still unknown but there are theories that are made by the DTMG fandom/s or the Cobraheads that its because of Madame X's fangirling or the gun shots / holes on his van or because of the guitar he got electrified by placing the wire in the wrong place or something like that. But the show would probably tell us how did BJC died if its not serious or worth the talk. Have a nice Day ☺

What a lucrative career
I like the character design and from what I can tell, the premise is alright. This is the pilot episode (probably) so I can excuse the lackluster animation, the voices not matching up with their mouths half the time, etc. But the voice actors are teeth-grindingly annoying, like, the Spencer guy's friend wearing the fishnets sounds like his voice box went through a wood chipper. Billy Joe Cobra seems like the generic "loveable asshole" character, but nobody else seems to have any personality at all--in fact, Mallory is the worst Mary Sue I've seen in a long time. And all of that is really a shame, because I think with some considerable tweaking this show could be really good.
It has such strong potential being wasted as far as this episofe goes. It has such a good concept, but the execution is really poor, and it's just unwatchable imo.

Yeah, I feel you on that, but this first episode is five billion times more atrocious than the rest of them. It's just one of those shows that gets better as time goes along (though the last bunch of episodes were.. pretty bad, and had a lot more gross children's humor than the rest). Honestly, I both wish I'd stopped at this one and am glad that I didn't, because this show is so dumb and yet I'm addicted.

I have Danny Phantom open in another tab. OMG y'all. I gots another theory for ya. Ya know the theory that Danny is also Timmy Turner? Well perhaps Spencer is another life of Danny! Perhaps after the show Danny accidentally said "I wish I was a different person" and Desiree heard him and made it be so, and he was reborn as Spencer Wright.
However, that does not explain how there is no Ghost Zone, how being a ghost works differently than in DP, or the numerous other things that are different from Danny Phantom but um.....yeah.
Let's be honest, if I wasn't gonna bring this theory up as a joke YT comment, someone was gonna write it as a serious theory.....but then again, someone probably already has or has it in the works.

Well not really. I, myself is a Cobrahead and is my duty to defend DTMG or most probably BJC. So, I will defend DTMG . DTMG is better than Danny Phanom it self (no offense DP fans) but rather than the funny plot/storyline we have lessons to learn from each episode.
