Monster of a horseshoe that Emz, I was goosed, it’s that initial climb, killed me. No good feeling naff on the hills, it certainly wasn’t a disaster either, it was the right call. The hills will always be there next time. Stunning area that, you certainly got some miles in regardless, well done. Thanks for sharing, Dave
Afternoon dave. Thanks lots for taking the time to watch me drivel. Really appreciate it. Aye it certainly is a stunning area. Really enjoyed exploring it. And you're right the hills will be there for next time. Enjoy your week. Thanks again 😊
The main thing is that you got back in one piece. I've been out on a couple of hikes not feeling great, and afterwards, I think, what's the point? Yes, beautiful views, but I can't appreciate them the same. Hope you are better now, Emz x
Hi Chris yes I'm all good now was back in the hills this weekend. Hope you're enjoying the hiking. Don't push too much just enjoy it. Thanks for watching
Love those hills! I’ve driven through them but never been up them so thanks for the share. They’re magnificent! Sorry you weren’t feeling well - that’s probably why you slept late and forgot stuff. Hope you’re on the mend x
Hi Ruth. Thank you. I'm better now thank goodness. I should have stayed home to be fair to get the full benefit of the hike but it'll be there when I return. No harm done. It's so important to be prepared for the outdoors isn't it. Thanks for the support x
Loved this video Emz😊👍 We recently discovered the hills around Moffat for hiking, totally agree isn't it gorgeous!🥰. Rain and all it is still beautiful. So far we have done the grey mares tail and more recently the devil's beeftub loop, which we can highly recommend. But we will defo be looking into the Hart fell round after watching this video. You know what, sometimes you just don't feel it, you made the right choice to make the call to save it for another day,and you still managed a fair few miles while feeling under the weather (quite literally 😂🙈 ). Great watch, thanks for taking us along. Have a great week Shell and Pete😋👍
Morning shell and Pete. Ah the devils beef tub I really want to do. Did you do a video on it ? If so I shall watch that. Its a beautiful area. Hope you're both well and thanks as always for taking the time to watch and comment 😊
@@emz_adventure hey Emz, We didn't film this time at the beef tub, as we are hoping to do it as day 1 on a through hike to complete the annandale way next year, so this time was just a little reccy, but it really is beautiful stand alone walk, we can highly recommend it😊👍 Take care Shell and Pete👊😊
Hey emz 😊 lovely views even in the cloud. Sometimes a rest is needed we all have days like that. Absolutely not worth pushing yourself, got to enjoy the walk. Still great that you got out 😊 hope your feeling a bit more rested soon
Hope you're feeling better Emz it'll be there for another day when you're back to 100%. Lovely wild and rolling hills with grand views though and nowt wrong with your hill fitness getting up there while not feeling it. Take care and look forward to your next adventure. Mick.
Hi mick. Hope you're well. Really enjoy your posts on Instagram. I'm loads better. Think I just hadn't eaten enough to be honest and was just having a meh day. I'll definitely be going back there's so much to see. Thanks as always for watching
Some days I can blast away, feeling great and another it is just not there at all, so my plans always tend to be fluid, I just do what I want. Looked a canny pull up mind and windy too, so you seem to have solved your wind proplem....the mic on your phone I am talking about🤣. A nice bit of rain to cool you down, which after 8 miles, in those conditions, no wonder you had a funny turn. I always amaze myself at how many mistakes I still make, how many wrong turns I still take and how many daft things I still do but at my age, I am never going to change lol! Good to see/hear you got down and back safely, cheers Alan
Morning alan. It was a lovely hike in the end for sure. I'll definitely go back to it. Really appreciate you watching. Hope you and Mrs metalman had a lovely time in the lakes. What a treat. Many happy returns to Mrs M 😀
Nice wee wander Emz. Fine hills doon there. The hills arnae going anywhere. Do the horseshoe another time, Saddle Yoke is a fine wee hill. Nice for the rain tae make an appearance eh. ☔
You can't be Superwoman all the time Emz, well done for realising that & adapting your day. 723m in 2 hrs isn't bad going for the terrain and weather - and setting of without a hearty breakfast probs didn't help either, one has to feed the body to let the mind run strong and free Some superb views from up those tops though 💚😍- you've defo inspired me to have a hike up there next time I'm up thon thar parts. Massive congrats on your 500+ subs - and talking of inspiring....I drove through Harbottle a few days ago & stopped off to visit the castle ruins I never knew were there, and all because of an @emz_adventure vid Xxx Thank you 😊😊
Good evening me little dreedlocked heeded marra. Lovely of you to watch my video. Really appreciate it. Hey I've just seen a reet thigh rubber on youtube....a certain lovely lass with a penchant for wildcamping has only gone and bought another kuiu 😍😍😍😍bloody marvellous lass. Aye you're right I do think perhaps I was just over tired and under nourished....not a good combo. Ah I'm glad me little Harbottle video inspired you to visit. That's what I do this for. Hope ya well lovely and thanks again xxx
Here come the midgies! Scotland in the Summer! Cracking views on the start of the horseshoe, you can see how much rain there has been. Everything is extra green and overgrown. You have to know in yourself if you want to continue it. Was a lovely climb up there, lie ins have ruined many of our larger circles but its still nice to get out and do what you can! 8 miles is a good old stretch anyway! Lessons learnt, hope your feeling tip top now ❤❤
Hi Jill & Nick. Thank you for your lovely comments. Your continued support of my little channel means alot. You both are so kind. Take care. Looking forward to seeing where you are adventuring next x
well emz it looked like you got some over the weather i,ve had on my last few walks i looked like i,d been wild swimming in my clothes lol 8 miles i,ve never gone that far yet but i,m sure it will take me all day .
Hi Steven. Thank you for watching my drivel 😀. Really appreciate it. Well done on the wild swimming. I love it but haven't been for a dip for a couple weeks 😩. Keep going with the miles it's not how many you do it's just getting out . Take care and thanks again 😊
Hi, I'll watch this video tonight. Just discovered your channel after Andy Wardle suggested you. You're a great lass and your content is brilliant. I heard you mention about GoPro. Not sure what camera you're using to film but it's missing the full beauty of the Cheviots. Looking forward to seeing all your videos. I'm amazed you haven't got more views for your work.
Hey there thanks so much for taking the time to comment. Really appreciate the support. I just use my Samsung s22 ultra. Its got me some awesome footage of the cheviots. I'm so not tech savvy to be honest so fear a gopro may be too much of a headache for me. I like to enjoy my surroundings fully. Really appreciate the advice so keep it coming. 💯 😊

Thanks Bryan it was so lovely. Thanks for watching
It's good that you show it's not all peaches and cream. That's a serious walk with a fair bit of slogging to come. Great videos. Regards
