Anyone else want a television series about the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black? It would have to be a mature, well constructed series with a final ending already planned out. Say...three seasons (or series, as it is called in Britain) only: mature, dark, and mysterious with themes of mental illness, abuse, forbidden love, twisted affection, and the exploration as well as denial of internal darkness. As much as Sirius seemed to be a "good guy", you don't kill thirteen people and get sent to prison without anyone questioning it or doubting your guilt unless you did some truly messed up things beforehand. Bellatrix's story would be tragic, the eldest daughter of an abusive family doing her best to keep the attention on her and taking the blame for her sisters only to be abandoned, betrayed, and avoided by those same sisters; lusting for her talented cousin Sirius with whom she loves to hate and hates that she loves; all the while on a downward spiral struggling with growing mental illness, suffering from multiple disorders that are acerbated by her surroundings and Sirius' ultimate rejection of her as well as their family's beliefs, then inevitably falling in love with the worst sort of man that promises all that her dark little heart desires: Lord Voldemort.
In short, a mature series about madness, abuse of all sorts, forbidden love, incest, self-sacrifice and surviving it, upholding and rebelling against tradition, as well as exploring/overcoming the darkest desires of our own hearts. All of this set in a world of magic on the backdrop of political machinations, manipulation, racism, murder mysteries, missing persons, and the growing certainty of something terrifying that is growing in power. Not since Game of Thrones has there been such deliciously dramatic potential. Best of all, it wouldn't be a kids story. Because no one interested in the messed up backstories of the Black Family is a kid.

One thing. Regulus seems much two young. I think Sirius and he were maybe two years apart.
Excellent casting for young Bellatrix and Andromeda. Really excellent casting in general. This is the first fan vid I’ve seen with Walburga and Orion. I’d never heard her described as beautiful, but I knew she had to be. She produced Sirius after all.

Pretty much all the good stuff has been told. But what I like is that they pretty much all have a different historical vibe that represents them like Bellatrix and Rodolphus look to be more late Renaissance, Lucius is the 17th century, Walburga is the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth century, Narcissa is the beginning of the Victorian Era, Orion, Sirius and Regulus are the beginning of the Belle Epoch and the Tonks couple are Grindelwald War’s time.I think it represents well their style we see in the books fashion-wise and mentally wise.

I can just imagine a story behind This, Sirius goes to visit regulus, but bellatrix is there and kidnaps Sirius, bringing him to be tortured by rodolphus and other death eaters, he escapes only to be saddened by his brothers death.

Nobody questioned the idea that Sirius would and could murder 13 people with a single reflexive curse or that he'd laugh all the way to Azkaban. Not Remus, not even Andromeda or Albus "2nd Chances" Dumbledore. His own mother and his grandfather, whom had the connections/money to buy his innocence or break him out, didn't see it as out of character for Sirius even if they'd doubt him being a Death Eater. They gave up on their family's last chance for a continued Black lineage of pureblood; that's how certain they were of his guilt. Trying to arrange so wouldn't be worth it, such was their surety in his guilt even with all that the House of Black needed Sirius to avoid extinction, it wasn't worth even securing their last possible heir's right to a trial. House Black was facing their family's end, but didn't bother trying when it only required what was due to him as a pureblood wizard? That implies they all had witnessed him commit similar crimes before or they strongly suspected him of previous killings. Mad-Eye, Mr. Paranoia himself, didn't even question it. NOBODY did. That can only mean that Sirius did some very dark, brutal stuff and everyone knew that he had done so but couldn't or didn't want to prove it. Remember, his first response was vengeance once Harry was safe and later Remus wasn't a bit concerned or put off by Sirius' suggestion that they murder Pettigrew together, "You should've known Peter, if Voldemort didn't kill you then we would." That implies that it was not only never in question what his response would be to betrayal, but that Wormtail feared Sirius himself only a little less than he feared Voldemort. Peter's presence on Ocy 31rst, 1981 was only so that he could cower by Voldemort's side. Godric's Hollow wasn't a reward : it was to protect him from Sirius Black and/or Remus. Voldemort calls him out for this in the Grave Yard, Wormtail, "I returned..." LV-, "out of fear, not loyalty. If not for your fear of retribution at the hands of old friends, I wonder if you would've sought me out? You deserve this pain, Wormtail. You understand that, don't you?"
