Monsters raiding towns, what it means to be oppressed by the king of the monsters

GI Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who has a happy and fulfilling life, hides a lingering shadow inside.Fifteen years ago, he and his father, Joey (Bryan Cranston), and his mother, Sandra (Juliette Binoch e) live in Japan. The parents work for a large nuclear power plant. On Forde's dad's birthday, a sudden disaster destroys the plant, killing his mother, and the incoherent government hides the truth, sealing off the area in the name of preventing nuclear radiation. But Joey senses something strange, and after fifteen years of trying to unravel the mystery of that day's disaster, he finally discovers that it was all caused by a monster the size of a mountain!
