The EA of airlines

except their base product is cheap. unlike ea

EAir
@@Steve.._., EWR - MIA, EWR - IAH, ORD - MSY, ORD - DFW, LAX - IAH. There are actually many and more can be found if you book early enough. Spirit is cheap, not Ryanair or Wizz Air cheap in comparison to Europe, but you’ll save a lot flying them.

I will never fly Spirit ever again. I had a flight from Oakland to Las Vegas which was cancelled. The agent said that due to bad weather the flignt was cancelled. I looked at the forcast, and the weather was "windy." No other airlines cancelled their flight...

SPIRITS's motto is "If we can't get them there alive we will get them there in spirit."
😅
I don't guess are spirit or soul will be alive 💀
Funny thing about that is Spirit is one of the only airlines on the planet to never have a single plane crash.
That would be funny if it wasn't so true. 😂😂😂
I mean, you get what you pay for… lower your standards and you won’t be disappointed in the airline 😂
I always thought "Paying 30€ and expecting a first class seat" was a german thing. 😂
I've seen people get disappointed that they need to pay extra (after they bought a 5€/10$ ticket). You are buying a ticket to get from 1 place to another. You will get what you payed for
@@MrCraft_SO2 if I make it there alive, that’s all I’m looking for at this price point 💀
Except that low cost airlines in Europe and Asia is able to have great customer service and relations WITHOUT sacrificing those
I used them once…
My tray was only a little bigger than my phone.
Honestly I don't mind Spirit, because you know what you're getting into. The annoying thing is how all the traditional airlines are now starting to have the same model
True. As long as JetBlue doesn't get that way, I am great.
@JDWBS agree bro , Jetblue is the GOAT 🐐!!
I only fly spirt airplanes
I hate it! I stick to Delta and Alaska. Sure Delta has a rep of being super expensive but it's actually pretty reasonable considering they don't nickel and dime you for everything plus you can change your flight fairly quickly.
@@jaimewinz🗿🔝🛩️✈️ like a sort of Pan Am 2.0
i’ve never had a problem with spirit. you pay for what you get.
Yes, but at the very least passenger should be able to have water without paying for it. I mean that's ridiculous
@@SomethingSomethinggwhy so? Do you get free water on a bus? Or on the subway? Think or it that way
@@SomethingSomethingg You pay for water at a supermarket, don't you? At any train station with any vending machine, don't you? You can drink before you fly, can't you?

I’ve never flown with them but I don’t think I’d have a problem with them because like you said, you pay for what you get.
The only time I flew was with spirit and they're alright, they're honestly not bad. The only extra fee I had to pay was with the luggage but it wasn't the worst only $50 or $75 if you go over. The trick tho is taking advantage of the free backpack and stuffing as much as you can in there, without it being too much.
I always fly Ryanair because they are cheap. They allow me to see my family far more than if they didn’t exist. If you know how to pack light and get your boarding pass on their app you won’t have any problems. I love them!
thank you for flying ryanair, last year. over 90% of our passengers goes to the hospital after landing

Yeah, Ryan Air really hits hard.
In just a few weeks I have a $20 plane flight with them across the US. $20. Literally $19.49. Unbeatable. I’ll bring a backpack and ship my bag, still cheaper than flying any other airline.

Also free wifi for all classes
Yeah and they literally just bought spirit and are slowly converting it to the JetBlue standard so in a couple of years you'll never see those yellow planes again
I love JetBlue
Because even though their onboard product is very good, they struggle due to poor operational structures
I flew with them twice already and I have nothing negative to say about them. I flew very comfortable and their service was great.
I tired it once when I visited USA . It was pretty ok. Was on time. Boarding and unboarding was smooth. What else you need?
Americans are INCREDIBLY spoiled. Even our homeless are entitled. We're just generally a very unhappy country that has a problem with everything if anything doesn't go exactly our way. Don't feel too bad for us, it's a result of extreme success. Feel bad for us in the future, though, because those days are gone soon and aren't ever coming back.
I have never heard anything but praise for them from people I know that fly with them. Not sure who is taling these polls. 🤷♂️

It's what I tell people all yhe time
The seats are actually quite comfortable. They have more legroom than United. They also don't allow seat reclining which I love.

I use them for weekend trips where I only need a backpack. Otherwise it's basically the same price even more expensive for my 2+ week long trips which is usually just my small luggage.
Manage your expectations and spirit is great! Took many great trips using this airline.
I would be delusional too if I were rich,young,good-looking and had a big hammer😮lucCash😅
I’ll say this though, spirit customers tend to be a lot more chill than other airlines, it’s a part of the experience that I think gets over looked a lot. I was late once and barely made my spirit flight, but when I came running up to the gate I got cheered for making it from other passengers! The gates just feel less anxious to me.
Because they don't have that much to live for
Because they're always delayed anyway. So you always make your flight lol
"...in the world" Bro, spirit only operates in the US
wolrd its only US, canada and europe buddy
Spirit be like no one paid the oxygen fee so no more O2
I had no issues with Spirit, except that I wish they had screens so you can watch a movie or entertainment and more good stuff :(
Can’t lie tho, their aircraft livery looks sweeeet

I’d be happy to sit on the floor of a cargo plane on a blanket if it meant I’d save a few hundred!!
People expect everything for nothing these days. There is no drive to sacrifice short term for the positive effects in the long term
Ryanair watching this:
😄

Spirit: you didn't pay for him

Plus side to spirit, you won't have to worry about being grounded over tornadoes....
When they first started, they where actually a good place to fly.
As a travel agent, I can definitely confirm this
Ryanair however has tickets that are a tenth of the price of spirits
because they wouldnt last if they were so cheap in the usa because banana airlines would go bankrupt due to people expecting first class service for 50 dollars
Frontier airlines:what about me😢
Used them for a flight to Las Vegas, was just fine and they were on time. If you don't plan on a very long trip they are just fine.
"Started as a trucking company" is all I needed to know
They didn’t start as a trucking company, at least the trucks you posted that’s not them. I personally know the owners of the trucks you just posted & that’s not them. Just thought you know 😅
You’re right. Spirit used to be called Clippert trucking company
Most loved man, I was able to do all my national flights every 3-4 weeks to my relatives because of it, even being a student…
ryanair:you gotta bump those number up those are rookie numbers
If I'm paying less for the flight i seriously have no problem to pay for other things because it will depend on me the cost of my travel
I have never had a problem with spirit. Fabulous prices. I fallow the rules.
My mom flies Spirit, but only because she already has clothes at her parents and doesn’t need a carry on
The extra fees are already included in the ticket price of other airlines
I've flown Spirit several times. Nothing but good things to say about them
“Welcome onboard this Spirit flight! There is currently have a storm system over the airport, if you would like to rebook the delay the flight, it’s required everybody to put the credit card in the card slot. Or else you will be flying in a Storm system and crash!”
I swear I've seen this somewhere
Liachu right?😂
yes lol
Cost us more to check our bags than the flight cost!!
My husband and I flew spirit from Chicago to LA in February 2020. We were visiting from New Zealand. The flight was excellent. Ran totally on time ( the weather was bad in chicago). No extras. Fun staff. Spot prizes on board. I had a couple of bloody Mary's at no charge. No extra charges for hand luggage. Ticket was cheap.
As a low cost airline I'm not sure what people expect. But for us it was above our expectations.
Well done
“This is your captain. We have just crash landed in the Pacific Ocean. If you wish to need a life vest, flight attendants will pass them around for the low price of $20 a life jacket.”
The next thing you know you have to pay 1000 dollars to sit in a seat
Doctors, fire extinguishers, medicine, airplanes are all the sort of thing that you never go for the cheapest one
Atleast they didn't delay and actually took off when there was a tornado
Bro my mom and I had to pay to sit next to each other when I was 12, bro what
Spirit used to be called Clippert Trucking
If their flights weren’t always delayed or cancelled with no accommodations , it wouldn’t be a problem
I want to pay almost nothing! Yet I want full service!
The waffle house has found its new host
So Electronics Arts secretly owned an airlines company? Wow
Seriously i once paid for an extra cup of water while onboard the plane😂
"Since one person in this flight didnt pay the storm deviation fee, we have no choice but fly straight to the storm instead of turning around"
I travel to Latin America once a month on spirit. Cheap, on time, no issues.
They make you pay extra cuz they’re still a company that runs on money, like every other airline… 🤦♂️
My only argument against them is the cardboard eco seats 💀
Sprit airlines have to be the worst thing anyone has done with airplanes in the history of forever
I used to fly with Spirit. Pack light, arrive on time, and you’re good to go.
This is the epitome of "too good to be true" as far as their prices go
For being a hated company, it’s odd the major carriers are copying their policies. They offer “basic economy” which is no different from Sipirir- no checked bags, no large carry ons, no advanced seat assignments, etc. I actually flew cross country for $129 roundtrip and it was not a lot different from United or Delta basic economy- except Spirit was on time and the seats didn’t recline. It was worth paying half price.
And what about drinks and food.? Delta and united provide complimentary drinks and food during the flight
I’m not a spirit fanboy or anything but for the prices $550.25 for a nonstop returning flight with a rental car included I don’t know what to say. (Hotel is not included.)
I got a flight from Miami to San Antonio for $30. Probably the best deal I’ve ever gotten. And I got free checked baggage and carryon since I’m military. Worked out for me
They also handle your stuff like a student kicking a rock on a bad day at school
It’s simple
Treat spirit like an Uber with a smart car
Sprint air is like worst bus
Kinda stupid how people are rating them low, that's the entire point, they're cutting costs wherever possible then passing that savings on to the consumers. If you want more go with someone else. It's like someone buying a Toyota then giving them a bad rating because it's not a Bentley
Also them: "iTs a mArKetInG sTrAtEgY"

Funfact: The first time I rode on a plane was Spirit 😅
Flying Spirit is like riding Greyhound
With that said, their aircraft are newer, so flight reliability is high while maintenance costs are low.
I've used spirit for about 3-4 flights. Never had a problem. Great polite staff, smooth flights, etc
Yeah but like the amenities and the plane itself are bare bones no snacks no beverages no tvs etc..
Imagine calling spirits customer service line 40 times on your friend's cell phone and they end up with a $200 bill in the mail.
Those seats are so uncomfortable. Flew las vegas to Newark it was pure hell. I decided never again for a longer flight like this!
"Companies into aviations, Just wait for the company to be an expert. Starter"
People that don’t like Spirit are usually people that failed math in school.
Makes sense to have a low cost airline that only does non-international flights.
Perfect for college students and people who just need to get from here to there with no luggage.
Priorities are: Safety, Cost, and Time.
For anyone Wanting Context In Football terms:
It’s literally EA sports of the sky
I'm glad all of the truckers managed to get checked out o.k. and transitioned successfully for flying.
They're actually a ULLC, Ultra-Low Cost Carrier and they offer really cheap flights. They're great if you don't want all the extra conveniences that are built in to the other carrier's prices.
I love the comments that rationalize why they love the airline.
Ryan air wanted cut 2 bathrooms and put in 3 extra seats....the aviation people said NOPE😂😂
They once overbooked the plane that i had to sit in the pilot’s area 🤣
Best prices and decent service. I travel more often and always direct flights for 1/4 of cost.
The only airline that wraps your knuckles and offers a mouth guard before boarding
You've got Spirit confused with Frontier. Spirit never got rid of their customer support number. Frontier did this.
"If you want a pilot, that's going to cost 500$ extra. Thanks for flying -spit- Spirit."
It's definitely not the most hated business in the world. Idk why he said that
People hate low cost airlines even though they know what they're getting into. They also expect 5 star service as well
Low cost = no extras, no frills. Hardly surprising. No reason to hate either
I've been in the trucking business as a driver for over 25 years.
And when he said that they charge you for everything, I was not a bit surprised.
They are operating that airline as though they were still operating a trucking company.
You pay for everythingn
Duh huh. I love working for Spirit. One day I was driving a big rig and now just 2wks later I'm a pilot!
Well, that does inspire confidence!
The problem with Spirit is people are buying $79 tickets but expecting $379 tickets worth of service like Delta.
Yeah and.?
You have to now pay for the Costumer service agent to tell you that the mangers is busy 😂
When I studied Sales in high school my teacher in sales ALWAYS mentions Ryanair when talking about bad service companies.
Everyone loves ryanair in ireland and they do exactly this hahahhaa
