Wow FS Guy. You have really ramped up your game. Those on screen displays of the keyboard buttons being used, while using this mod? Perfect and concise instruction on how to use. Looking forward to more of your tutorials.
I still use the GPS for guidance steering, but this mod is 1000% worth using for the driving physics alone. Especially on keyboard, the steering and braking are so much more controllable and your vehicle actually continues to coast and roll when you're moving at speed. It's fantastic!
I’m glad you did a tutorial on this mod. I have tried using it in the past. I have watched other tutorials that give you just enough information to get into a mess an end in frustration. Your tutorials are so helpful and easy to understand. I going to give this a go. Thanks FSG.
I´m a cab driver in FS and use this mod, find it very useful with the keep speed function. I have keybinded my throttle to a joystick also and use it to control speed. And also keybinded the gps functions to the joystick. Watching all your videos FSG, enjoying every one. Your'e doing a superb job! Greetings from Sweden!
I use VCA quite a bit now, the ease of use is fantastic. Even have my wife using it now, and she loves. She only drives in cab view and this is now one of her favorite mods. We just watched this video and picked up a few tips while doing so. Thanks for another great mod review and tutorial. You are the best FSG! Happy New Year!!
I’ve been using this for a couple years and watched your vid to see if I was using it right. Had no idea about the ctrl-arrows to adjust headings! Thanks for that, it’ll make it easier to use. Also, you were turning it off to turn off the course, but that’s not necessary, it will turn itself off if you override it.
Thanks for another great tutorial! This mod has been on my list to check out but I have been using guidance steering and courseplay. I will definitely give this one a go!!
I can’t begin to tell you how helpful these types of videos are. I’m not familiar at all with the GPS Steering but need to learn. I only use Course Drive and AI Helpers. I do keyboard steering. I’m fussy about going in straight lines and being efficient with the working width. Thanks so much for the help.
I love this mod. One thing I did was remap some of the keybindings to my steering wheel, to make it easier. Though I can't save for multiplayer, I will usually Lineup with a co player before starting or play on the other side ofcthe field. Thanks for the vid also learned a few things about plowing I didn't know
Great tutorial as always, have been eyeing this one as well as it sits unused next to headland management in a mod folder on the desk top!! Thanks for pushing me to try it!!!
I really struggled with this and didn't know it had this many features! will definitely try to give it another chance. Next would be the pro seed that Argsy tried on the Oaks Realistic server!
Great tutorial FSG. VCA is a cracking mod. I found VCA easier to use for maps with irregular shape fields set at irregular angles like court Farm and Calmsden . GPS maybe better for maps where the fields are set on the cardinal angles. Thanks again for taking the time to create the video. Much appreciated.
I just love VCA! 😃 Even if you can not save the courses. But you don't need to, anyway. Because it's so easy and quick to set a course. Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
This doesn't appear to require a tractor with GPS installed, so it will save a few x15,000's, if nothing else. I agree with your analysis of it.. nice with a couple of shortcomings.
I’ve been using VCA for all of 22 and enjoy the easy press and go experience. Headland control would be nice as I’ve ended up in a ditch or tree more than once after looking at the store for too long on a pass.
VCA has been my go to for GPS for a long time. Plus things like diff locks are great for some field work situations especially if you're running the mud system
@TheFarmSimGuy a lot of the other features aren't very well covered, or documented. I'd planned to cover the rest but couldn't get my head around some features and they aren't documented
Just what the doctor ordered, I'm configuring my gamepad to accept the key-binds, a good thing is its free and you don't need to pay €15000 for each tractor to get gps. The only problem I have is the snap angle, even though I set it to 1º it sets where it likes and not on my heading. Great tutorials, maybe headland management will be on the list, I think they are somewhat related. Edit, I wrote this before you mentioned Headland management
I will be downloading this one. Been to much hassle with GPS mod. So much easier to use this so is there really need to save a course. A great demo FSG
Thx FSG for another of your great tutorials! 👍👍👍 I did not use VCA before, but will shure give et a try after you introduced me to it! Happy New Year to you and all the other here on the channel! 👍💥☄️🥂🍾
Ive literally the last 2 days switched from guidance steering to vca and ive coupled it with headland management as i find they work better together than guidance steering and headland management. Reason for swapping , i wanted to add more realism to my game so i use the 4wd and diff locks in my game too. I agree the lines are ugly and the not saving courses is annoying but its so much easier to set up compared to guidance steering. Havent tried the gps part with the dewulf root crop harvesters though. I had issues using those with guidance steering.
VCA seems a great option for single player and the smaller fields. GpS seems the better option for multiplayer and big fields. I may start using VCA more.
Been a GS mod user for a while. BUt this might just be the best for maps where the fields don't use 0/90 field edges, so you can match the field edge quicker.
Hi FSG 😊 Thanks for a good video. I have never used Guidance steering I know that you always use it, I have always used VCA and love it also in my lets play aswell in my private gamesafe. Happy new year buddy 🎉 23/24
Thanks, FSG! Like you I have always used Guidance Steering. I've never seen a demonstration of this mod. Very interesting 🤔. A mod I absolutely love is the Wood Harvester Controls by Bargon mods. An awesome mod for "realistic" forestry work. 👍😎 A HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, my friend! 🎉
Awesome! He seems like a really good guy. I had a small issue with the mod. I reached out to him, and he immediately got back to me with a suggestion which solved my problem. 😀
When I tried this mod, my camera kept resetting to a certain starting position that would only change after changing from 3rd person to 1st person then back to 3rd person. I did come across some settings which I thought was causing the issue, but changing them did not get rid of this problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I love VCA, erxcept for the turning speed using a controller. can't get it set right. although, driving down the road in a semi, you can control it better. I actually use both VCA and GS
so i have no idea how it would be done but i would love to see a horse racing mod. not as in you can race horses firsthand, like a production facility in the form of a racetrack with hired workers and such. or bullriding where prize bulls could be sent. theres a lot of different kinds of things that could be included with the animals i feel but i have no idea how to start reading scripts let alone write them. maybe you could pass the idea off to another
I'm still not understanding how "inching" is supposed to work. I mapped it to my clutch pedal, and when I press it, the machine doesn't slow down or increase RPM. Overall, it's a good mod, but it feels like some features have been dropped since earlier games, but the inputs haven't been removed.

The Mod first started life as a mod in FS13 called. Auto combine. And then Auto tractor came along. And in later years, it changed to AI vehicle enhancement.
Do you mean in the base game? Or available in the ModHub? VCA, Enhanced Vehicle and Guidance Steering are all available in the ModHub for PC players, if you are on console it’s the in game helpers only I’m afraid

If your in real life and doing it for a job that's one thing but if your playing a game and using GPS or this why even play? Yall auto load yout trailers, use GPS and courseplay what part of farming do you even enjoy? Lol
That’s what people who don’t understand how to use GPS and courseplay always say. Same as racing on dirt ovals, what part of turning right don’t you enjoy 😂😂
youve just scratched the surface of this mod. you can do all kinds of. it can automatically lift tools, turn pto on and off in headlands and all kinds of other things
@TheFarmSimGuy The Enhanced Vehicle mod actually has all the functionality of this one + is able to turn at the end automatically. The only thing missing is the automatic throttle and freewheeling. The controls take some getting used to, but once you know the shortcuts it is very good. I never understood why people use Guidance Steering, felt very cumbersome to me - of course except in multiplayer. On the other hand - once I have a mod that can do basically the whole field alone - pehaps except the headland - why not go all the way and use Courseplay? Courseplay you can just launch and let it do its work - this one you must watch all the time.

@@TheFarmSimGuy thx
Does it work on console version
No it's a script mode so PC only
And I suppose this is not for console…?
You supose right, it uses scripts
@@TheFarmSimGuy that sucks😭😩
You dont need to pay ? Like the gps
Not feel realistic
Is this on console?
No, it won't be available.
But are you driving on cruise control or are you just manually pushing the acceleration?
You can do either
@@TheFarmSimGuy okay
If your in real life and doing it for a job that's one thing but if your playing a game and using GPS or this why even play? Yall auto load yout trailers, use GPS and courseplay what part of farming do you even enjoy? Lol
That’s what people who don’t understand how to use GPS and courseplay always say. Same as racing on dirt ovals, what part of turning right don’t you enjoy 😂😂
Hello everyone!! Can anyone help me with map??
Hi It's Calmsden Farm
@@TheFarmSimGuy thank you sir !!
Bello , ma come al solito solo per PC.
Yes of course, it’s a script mod
GPS is still the mod for me
Of course, each to their own 👍
youve just scratched the surface of this mod. you can do all kinds of. it can automatically lift tools, turn pto on and off in headlands and all kinds of other things
Is that not Headland Management?
i have a better mod for you this one ENHANCED VEHICLE V1.2.2
I’ve tried it, didn’t warm to it as much as VCA
@TheFarmSimGuy The Enhanced Vehicle mod actually has all the functionality of this one + is able to turn at the end automatically. The only thing missing is the automatic throttle and freewheeling. The controls take some getting used to, but once you know the shortcuts it is very good. I never understood why people use Guidance Steering, felt very cumbersome to me - of course except in multiplayer. On the other hand - once I have a mod that can do basically the whole field alone - pehaps except the headland - why not go all the way and use Courseplay? Courseplay you can just launch and let it do its work - this one you must watch all the time.
salve
Can it be used on a console?
Script mod so no
