In an aircraft, closing the throttle valve increases the effect of the venturi, lowering pressure further and thus temperature. This is why carb heat is applied at low engine power. In this video, lower air pressure is ascribed to an open throttle valve. I am having a hard time reconciling these two.
I know you asked this 6 months ago, and probably don’t care anymore, but closing the throttle slows the air-fuel mixture from escaping to the engine, and does not move out of the way for new air to come in. It’s like a traffic, imagine 6 lane highway went down to one lane, incoming traffic would come in slowly
@@jackjack06 well I still haven't got the response so I care haha, thanks. If I got this right, basically, the air slows down due to a less space for travel and it somewhat gets clogged so less air gets through?

EPA regulations make them run a fixed speed.
