Awesome video and channel man! We had the same generational issue...my dad was a drummer and solved it for my sister and I who are both drummers. We now use a home studio for our recordings and so drum covers on RUclips! 🤘🤘
Wow,, your studio is awesome, congratulations on your successes. Also your drum set sounds exceptional with the those different snares are very unique. Will you have WAV. files of the different sounds of your set, cymbals, and snares, etc to buy for eletronic drum kits? Thank you for helping with my lessons and practicing journey.
Dude, I'm so freaking excited for this studio, and that new logo man! As soon as I saw it I was like that's hot!!! Favorite part for sure. Suggestion, those panels could be replaced with some concert picture materials, like movie posters, not just of I Prevail, but perhaps some other bands or drummers that have inspired you.
Hi Bro - I turned my garage (small) into my painting studio. It was going to be 2storied to take my drums & provide plenty of storage as well. But, like many people the money didn’t go far enough. I have my painting studio (small, & now crowded) and my drum kits are upstairs in the house still. Keep up the great work. Cheers Owen Brown Australia.
Dude you totally smashed it, i remember watching your video's back then like 5 years ago just when i was starting to get into drumming! The improvement level is just beyond, But the studio eish, it really looks beautiful Gab, i really hope everyone learners from you, DONT GIVR UP ON SOMETHING YOU REALLY LOVE! This studio you smashed it as in it looks Lit🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. My favorite is that background wall with the new Logo! Those LED strips puts a big emphasis. its really dope man and thanks for working so hard, recording yourself etc... we really apricated it and we looking for more!
Love the new Studio and the meinl vic firth and Pearl endorsement is probably the holy grail of drumming. How shiny is your drumkit though would be cool to have some light shine directly on it and really make it sparkle. Congrats you really deserve it
Nice! Couple of questions: did you seal up the garage door? did you do anything to soundproof any other doors or windows? If you did, how so? Also did you double sheet rock with an air gap left between the insulation and the sheet rock? Where did you purchase the subfloor with rubber feet? It looks like those come in 2‘ x 2‘,? correct!
Fantastic video. I love my Reference Pure (Music City Custom) as well. I would suggest ordering up a 24x16 as an alternate kick. Once I went up to 24" and 26" the sky opened up. So much dynamics and sub-sonics that cannot be captured in a 22"...just my two cents...then you have options for different sessions...aside from that...an awesome video and space!!
I'm interested to know how your neighbors feel about this setup. Wondering how far the sound travels from your garage with the new panels and acoustics or if the sound that travels out of the garage is still the same.
I'd very much like to what those ceiling mounted arms for your overheads are and where to get em. I've been wanting to do something similar but finding ceiling-mountable mic arms is surprisingly difficult. Thanks!
Great job man on the sound of these drums on sonic/studio standpoint and on the tuning!! I’m a new drummer and super envy you for these things! Also the studio looks DOPE
Nice upgrade on your studio! Looks awesome Gabe! Love the Pearl Sensitone Premium Raw Brass snare drum! btw the back and front walls are my favorite part of the new setup!
I really like how the studio came out I watched the video on DBO. I like how the light comes out from behind the panels. You should do a video showing how it sounds from outside to show how much it works.
Less sound leaves the space post Audimute treatment naturally....but the real isolation elements should have been added in the structural isolation (when the walls were being built... predominantly for low frequency containment.). We did not know each other back then. Point is ...take a acoustic pro with you when you consider a studio project from the onset. There’s plenty out there or you can certainly reach out to me. I’m glad to help.
I only need a Drum, just a drum set.... 😥😥😥 Beautiful Studio.. I Love the Logo Placement area, and I feel d DBO logo also should be on the walls of the drum area... But I love it already💝
you deserve this!!!! you put so much afford and time in this channel and the dbo academy even during the touring with the band so good luck in the future!
Favorite Parts...You could install the Audimute Solution yourself (Thx for letting me help!). You spread the entire project - Gear Too - over time to make things easier from many perspectives. The acoustic change is transformative and will be appreciated by your students for years to come! What a substantial, qualitative improvement! Thank you, my brother, for including Audimute and me in your success story!
So sick, feeling inspired to start building my studio seeing how amazing yours turned out, after starting as slightly more budget friendly a few years ago to this amazing space now. Also idk if it's a preference or not but could those angled overheads be messing with your stereo spectrum, since they're pointed in rather than straight down? Regardless, loving the content recently man!
Sorry if this has already been answered, but what company makes the rolling rack? Is it NavePoint? Because I couldn’t find it on their site. Anyway, loved the video! Lots of great ideas!
I've been trying to find something to block my left kick pedal from moving. I see you have something behind yours that says "Pedal Block" I believe. I can't find it anywhere online. I was wondering if you would be so kind as to link it for me or tell me what to specifically search for because I am so tired of having to adjust my left pedal or hoping it's not moved before a fast double bass part haha. Thanks
I like the contrast between the floor and the walls. Really like the lights, to set vibes. Behind you in the shot you should put your logo or design. But it looks really nice
I have a functioning garage so all the junk around absorbs the sound pretty nicely, my son and I have two half stacks, a 410 & 1x15 300w bass cab and then my drum set. We have really good neighbors so they don't mind when we crank it up but we also don't play after dark 👍. I'm getting a storage shed next week so I'm going to have to get something to absorb the sound because I will be emptying my garage.
For that wall maybe you could do a sign that says "Drumsbeats Online" maybe with some lights or something. Prob not a neon sign but I think you get my vibe. I'd kill for a jam space like that m8. I'm actually a vocalist xD Not even a drummer haha
Place looks great. Have you ever thought about using cymbal springs for saving your cymbals ? I use them on ALL of mine and I love them. I haven't broke a cymbal in YEARS. Let me know what your thoughts are of them. Great studio upgrade bro, congratulations.

Your new studio looks and sounds great! How are you heating it during our cold Michigan winters?
I'm hiring you to remodel my house. Looks so incredible bro!!
Haha thanks dude!! I used to be in remodeling for 2 years so lets do it!!

Yoqu could put a cymbal wall behind the drumset, similar to the cymbal walls at music stores. I think it’d look sick.

You should put your logo as a neon sign on your back wall. Would look really dope.
in the middle put a blue and red l-e-d IPREVAIL or IP behind you in the middle?
