Obviously hearing it in person would be ideal. Just curious as to why you went with a co-ax in the door along side an upgraded tweeter up top. One, I’m concerned about phase in the higher freqs with now four competing high frequency drivers. Two, a crossover would split the OEM design if not already current. If an analog/digital x-over exists the coax door driver wouldn’t even use the tweeter. Possibly cleaning up the OEM offering. Obviously better designed drivers will perform better overall.
I did exactly what you did on my 2020 ford ranger. Not happy with the sound. After doing further research, other people are having to use forscan to flatten the eq curve. The lows and highs don’t sound right. Any suggestions?
Hi guys, I want to do this... is it worth rewiring with better speaker cable? Do you have a solution for adding more Bass to the OEM ford ranger's system?
I have a 2019 ford ranger lariat my radio.used to.play all.spaekers . Now.it.only plays the one on the middle of the dash board. sometimes it plays all.speakers.for couple of seconds and then goes back to playing on that one it's been playing on . Why is it doing that . I would love to listen to my radio on all speakers. Please help me with this question.
Nice... Did you have a problem with the active noise cancelation and engine sound enhancements? I did an upgrade on mine with JBL components in the front and co ax at the rears. Ended up with 3 droning noises on every start and the noise cancelation not working. I ended up re installing the stock speakers. Maybe these power bass ones could be the solution
You need to install an aftermarket integration adapter like the Maestro AR or the Amp Pro by PAC. These eliminate that factory engine noise garbage crap Ford puts in their cars.
"improve the tops"? ??? what the fuck does that mean?! with an 88db sensitivity, that is terrible efficiency! I'm surprised there is any improvement at all. the Dynamat is probably doing more than that Powerbass rubbish.
It is like watching a long advert!
Great video, very comprehensive and detailed - excellent
Glad you liked it!

On a 2019 XLT, do you need to replace the stereo itself? Or can I upgrade the speakers and still use the stock stereo (non B&O)?
Is it worth re-wiring the speakers with better quality speaker wire?

why don't you take it to an audio shop and have it properly diagnosed? instead of asking questions to randoms on youtube.
Oe652fd 6.5" speakers but what are the tweeters ?? And are the front and rear 6.5" the same?
Out of interest - did you clean inside the doorskins first or did you put the deadening straight on the waxy stuff on the inside?
Do you have upgrades for 2023 Ford rangers
