Ive just done one side of mine this morning, using salty captain but ai reckon its similar. Mine had heavy etching from 10 years of heavy salt and heat exposure in the Pilbra and Kimberely. It was sunny and warm, I got streaking too, I think the only way is to wait for evening, pre wash everything down then do small sections. I used truck wash in a foam gun to neutralise the acid then fresh rinse. I think ill need multiple acid washes before getting close to a nyalic coating though.
Hi all It's a great Idea to apply Nyalic in humidity conditions that are less than 75% as the coating does not like curing in humid conditions...and wear some protectives when using acid all..gloves wet weathers and glasses please !!!!
@@onetufftinny763 Hey mate, was that just the Blitz from over the counter at Bunnings? I got a litre to try the other day and at 100% it barely seemed to mark the ali let alone streak it
Thanks for making the video mate. Very informative.

brilliant Ryan
well done
Handy video, Ryan!👍
Hey mate do you roll the hull with nilic as well cheers for the info
How good did it last?
Nice boat
Awesome video, wondering what type of acid are you using?
G'day mate sorry for a late reply but it was the chemtech brand Blitz
How did you apply the acid on the interior around carpet and stuff, with a cloth?
No acid on the inside mate just a soapy wash and dry to make sure it was clean. The inside had no stains so that's all it needed mate.
Looks good .
What were you trying to protect? Electrolysis?
You won't stop electrolysis mate but it just puts a protective coating on the ally so it looks the same for as long as it stays on there.
Exactly what I was looking for - thank you! What type of acid did you use? Cool boat by the way 👍
Cheers mate. I used the Blitz brand acid wash

That's cool so what actually is it, so do you bath in acid and then apply this nyalic? Cheers.
Yeh mate it cleans the ally and the just roll it on
Does the acid wash effect the gal coating on trailer ?
Yeh it can mate but I had previously coated the trailer in nyalic to protect it. 👍
How much did the nyalic cost
About $250 a litre mate and that was the whole boat and had leftover
Who makes that boat?
FG boats in Perth mate👌👌
