Slash is my favorite player of all time. For anyone who only knows his G&R stuff, I urge you to check out his solo album R'nF'nR, and then his first two records with Myles Kennedy, Apocalyptic Love, and World on Fire. It's just genius level song writing and playing IMO. I didn't love Living the Dream, but that live version of 4 they did at Studio 60 blew me away pretty well.
He's awesome, got his own thing going on for sure. I like Alter Bridge, especially the first album and I'll check out more of Slash's solo stuff, thanks 👍
He is the best and more influential guitarist of my lifetime, the guy still got it, went to G N’ R concert at Phoenix and Slash sounds the same or better than any remastered album and talk about stamina … 4 hours playing 10 seconds in between songs. I seen it all, now I can die in peace ☮️
My ex/current boyfriend, the guy I am seeing but don't live with anymore, acually argued with me about Slash not being that good. He asked, like all idiots do, what about all the kids you see playing the guitar on social media... well why are the kids on social media not known beond that and in a band playing at sold out stadiums. His "arguement" is like saying that Leonardo da Vinci was not a good artist because there are kids, and adults, that can draw just as good, or maybe even better than he did. I've even seen people draw with both hands and feet at the same time, I guess that means all other artists are bad. Had we not been "broken" up 5 days ago I would've dumped his arse on the spot. I have loved Slash since I was 13 years old, I have cared about this guy for about 11 years. I felt personally attackted by his comment about Slash. He should have just gone in futher and talked shæt about my dead mum. I am still angry about this😆
Hi ive been a slash fan since i was a kid seeing him doing the godfather in tokyo,. Have you heard his solo for a song called elan streetchild,. Its so melodic same as messages with velvet revolver
Hey man, the best place is with a good local teacher imo. Try and find someone in your area with a good reputation and give them a call! If not, some beginner videos here on RUclips can help, JustinGuitar is a good place to start.
Perhaps. I think it's because he's the whole package. He has the look, the songs, the attitude, the back story etc. But as far as actual playing is concerned, of course there are better players but hey, he's done well!

Thanks! He's one of those player that took me up a few notches in my teen years and to this day I still love his playing and ideas.
