Wow! I can’t imagine a regular Goodwill store that great! Much less an outlet. We NEVER have stuff like that. Ours is full of used up and worn out junk.☹️☹️

Yes! It’s amazing how often I find brand new items in there! I guess one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
They didn’t throw it away they donated it
Some of it is donated [maybe even bought] overstock from Target and Hobby Lobby, that's why it's so nice.

The greenery that has a small flat plastic bottom is called a “half-sphere”. They are becoming popular. They work wonderfully on candleholders, small urns and bowls, etc. I love using them instead of candles sometimes. They can be pricey! Great score on all that greenery!!

I've been a goodwill shopper for alot of years. But, just recently went goodwill bin shopping for the 1st time. Closest one to me is in Lancaster, PA.
My friend and I had a blast! We were in there for almost 3 hours. So much fun and great finds. The back of my car was packed.
I like to repurpose also.

It would be great if you could discuss your strategy for what to buy vs avoid specific to the by-the-pound pricing. As I mentioned before our Goodwill Outlets (priced by the lb) only get items not sold in the regular store so we don’t see great items there like at your local GW outlet. How do you decide if an item is too heavy to buy that way? If I saw the name brand items you see at ours, I don’t think I’d have a good feel for weight, therefore price. Please share your advice or strategies.

The way our store works is if something is over certain weight thresholds they charge a flat rate (so 3-6lbs is charged $3.39, over 6 lbs is $6.59, etc) So with that in mind I just have to decide if those heavier items are worth that to me. Thanks for subscribing! 😊

The Goodwill Outlet I visit occasionally is always packed with people who wait all day long for bins coming out. I noticed your store is pretty empty with people. Hi Barbara, you know I don’t. I don’t really have any schedule for when I go. The parking lot is frequently full so it may just be a difference in available parking to store size. 🤷🏼♀️

I checked out my local Goodwill Outlet and found excellent prices and deals on furniture but I could not get myself to dig into the bins for clothing and other soft goods or home decor
I have been a happy thrifter since I was 12 and now I’m 81 but this kind of thrifting is not my style 😳

I’m going to have to go check out a Goodwill store near me. I never see anything as good as what you find at a regular store. And I’m going to be looking at everything kind of like you do. I don’t need anymore decor. But I love your videos. And I could always give things to my family.

Girl, I have now watched all of your videos and still can't believe how many projects you do on your beautiful countertop just in case of accidentals spills with glue, paint and such. Great finds once again!!!!! So many Christmas items for cheap!!!! Those Christmas, Winter, and holiday picks are definitely pricey, nice savings! Please keep in mind all these paper towels you are using end up in a landfill (unless you are composting?!). Please invest in a dropcloth! They can be reused forever.

Tiffany I would like your opinion I have a built in entertainment center that is a orangey oak color I am thinking of painting it white. Our stair railing and fireplace mantle are also that same oak. Would it look ok to just paint the center and leave the rest to add some variety? I wish I could send you a picture but I don’t know how😂

Be careful. I looked up iron acetate & it said not 2 seal the container. Just love ur goodwill hauls.
Hi Kathy. I looked into it and found multiple chemical safety data sheets that state to store in a tightly sealed container. We have been making and storing iron acetate for 8 years with no issues, so hopefully we don’t have any moving forward! Since yesterday I discovered this place and I’m sure the thrift stores you visit can be full with nonsense or great things. The fact is that you have a great imagination but most of all, A GREAT EYE and with both of them and good sense and mental resources, you do magic…. The only thing I resent, is that you use plastic greeneries instead of real plants, but that is a personal choice, so I respect it as well. Fine work you do!

Just discovered your channel and I’m absolutely hooked. As someone that has been shopping my Goodwill Bins for two years though I have to ask if your Bins are better or are you
spending loads of time in one outing and editing out the “Bins Experience”. My Bins in Sacramento California is super busy, rude patrons, no shopping carts and mostly just crappy stuff that is only usable if you deconstruct to use for crafting supplies. Nothing I’ve ever brought home can be used as is. While I enjoy the hunt, the time spent is rarely worth the effort involved.
Welcome Tammy! I’m sorry to hear that’s the case with your location. Our store can certainly be busy at times (it’s not uncommon for the parking lot to be full) but it doesn’t seem to be too crazy in there (plus most people there aren’t interested in home decor). There are sometimes a few aggressive shoppers but for the most part people are fairly considerate of each other. When I go I’m usually there for about 3-ish hours.

I am just amazed by how you are able to find good quality, beautiful looking pieces of home decor and diy items from these Goodwill Bins. I've checked online and found several GBs not too, too far from where I live and after seeing just a few of your videos I have decided that it would be well worth the miles to go see what I can find. I mean, you are paying a mere fraction of what it would cost to buy these items new. Even the few local thrift shop near me have had such an increase in their prices that it makes shopping them a strain on my budget. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. Thank you for sharing.
