We are very happy to hear that you enjoy our videos. We have had other viewers express the theory that we are not being promoted properly by RUclips. Since our videos deal with disasters it would not surprise us if our videos are not favored by RUclips. Fortunately we do this channel because we enjoy telling the stories and even if we stay small we will not be bothered.
As we are only a podcast without a video element when we started uploading to RUclips it was originally our intention to simply show our logo on the screen. We then decided it would enrich our audience's experience to show a reference for the ship we were discussing that week. We apologize if this gave a false expectation for our content. It was not our intention.
We really wanted to do other cement ships as well on this channel but most of the ones we found were either intentionally sunk or abandoned. This was the most interesting end to one that we found.
what a wild event! love how different it is from a standard wreck and hearing about how they dodged prohibition, sounds very exciting
Prohibition had ended in 1933, but gambling was still illegal. Gambling ships featured in several movies during the thirties. Great story.
A good note as far as dates go, thank you for catching it, I am startled we did not. Glad you enjoyed the story.
Fascinating!!! Lived in/around Coronado for decades..had NO idea!
You can see it now!
I like this channel it should definitely have way more views from the ship history community kinda wondering if it shadow banned or something

All this work on this video and only one stagnant shot of a different ship? There are pictures of both the Monte Carlo at sea and of the wreck 🤷🏻

The cement ships were a crazy idea not that new though when this one was made

Sort of a floating "No Name City" then?
Yes, and it was one of several
