I do have a comic book store near my house, but it's about a 15 minute-ish ride by bus (it's around the same area where the closest movie theater is). I'm planning to go around there sometime next week, so it might be possible for me to pick up the Turf Wars omnibus on my way to the theater (if they do happen to have a copy of it). If not, I'll have to wait until next month to pick one up at Barnes and Noble. I've recently bought the omnibus editions of the comics (which is the format I honestly prefer the most and intend to go with going forward if they do any more after Ruins of the Empire and Imbalance). I still need to get a Smoke and Shadow omnibus since the previous one I bought from Amazon came in a disappointing condition despite "buying new" and had to return it for a refund. I would have loved to have all 3 Turf Wars clean covers in the omnibus since I really liked the covers for all 3 parts, but it's not a major complaint for me. It's cool to see that there are a couple of forewords in the omnibus since I like reading those and that is something different from the ATLA omnibuses since they didn't have those. I was very curious about the Korra omnibus spines, but I guess that it was expected for it to not be all crazy in forming a spine image since we only have 2 trilogies so far (at least no spine image mistake will happen like there was with The Rift! 😅).
I totally agree on the lack of Korra comics in comparison to ATLA. Maybe it’s just my OCD as a fan but no matter the format (single issue, library edition, omnibus etc. seeing the books together on the shelf really does highlight how the Korra content section look extremely barebones in comparison to ATLA. At least one more comic trilogy might’ve helped that imo, three trilogies at the minimum. I just think Korra deserved one trilogy on the spectrum of The Search in terms of how like you say, fans could all go “This is the great one” (obviously not to all but to a majority), and I’m sad it didn’t get that.
With atla library editions it felt, to me at least, like they weren’t worth getting as much, simply because of the fact that the content itself was not fully extended to the page and on top of that there weren’t even that many annotations….I just fount it quite bothersome, frankly I couldn’t even stare at the pages because of that quite huge, wide white boarder….the omnibus on the other hand are really good and just the perfect option no matter if u are a collector or not. But with Korra comics I feel the opposite. I think the library editions are totally worth getting and just more thought over. I can’t wait for more releases, hopefully “soon”😅
Like I mentioned it is the same stuff as in the Library Edition. I prefer the sketchbook stuff her compared to the ATLA concept art stuff since there is a little bit more text to describe what we get to see. In terms of notable info, I don't think any 1 or 2 things stand out, it is more that overall it is a nicely done extras section.
That is up to you. Basically do you like big hardcover or do you like the idea of the cheaper Omnibus. Content is the same otherwise, just price and size format is different. I tend to prefer the Omnibus, very easy to pick up and read whenever, and the value is better.

Interesting about the single part covers. I love the new cover, though, so I’m excited to pick this up.
Awesome review. I always love all your book reviews. I just bought the team avatar treasury because of your review and I love it.

@airspeedprime Any interesting info in the sketchbook portion of the omnibus?

I have a question, which is better, the library edition or the omnibus?

@@AirspeedPrime thank you!
