As much as I believe Tainted Lost is a great character and the only possible step up from the lost to improve his concept, I do think lost's design is absolutely perfect, it is balanced for a challenge character, infinite health just don't get hit more than once per room, a lot of items are not useful for him, a lot don't have downsides as the lost, you start with flight and spectral tears to give you an edge with earlier hard rooms, a character that allows improvement for the player both in knowledge and skill, and to top it all it has possibly the best reward for completing a character in the whole game

Why don't you try to play Tainted Eden? You can actully manipulate their rerolls! This is how Tainted Eden Reroll work: Every time that a item spawns, all items you pick up will be rerolled based on the item spawned, when you pick the item, they are locked in that pool, see the problem here? So let's say you got to the treasure room, to the shop, can buy 2 items, somehow found the planetarium, and instead of pick the items, you go to the boss, defeat it and spawn a devil deal The moment you get inside the Devil Deal, if it spawn a single item, the rule will apply, all items you pick up until a new item spawn, will reroll into devil deals That mean that treasure room, planetarium item, the 2 items from the shop and the boss item, will reroll into a devil deal item, you got 5 devil deal items, without couting the ones you get from the devil deal itself The same thing apply to space items, the moment you pick they up, they are locked in that pool, so let's say, you found the Mystery Gift and Nugget, you can go to a secret room, spawn a item inside that room using the Gift, and the pick the Nugget, Nugget will be locked as a Secret pool item, and like that, you have a chance to the space item to turn into a R Key or Death Certificate every time you get hit You gotta try Tainted Eden with such cursed knowledge, trust me, it's hella fun

that was a stellar run, i loved it! i think it'd be cool if there was a character with offensive benefits like the lost or t lost that isn't oneshottable, maybe we could revisit the adam mod?
