I'm conflicted. On the one hand, this movie has two of my very earliest loves - dinosaurs and toy trains. On the other hand, it expects me to sympathize with a rich jerk who abuses his staff.
I never really got the whole "Aww, my parent doesn't hang out with me! Bummer, dude!" type of plot in these kinds of movies because I was/am a big fuckin' nerd. I wasn't bothering my parents to spend time with me, I was playing my GameBoy or reading.
The other half of that is that these plots always have the parent really depend on the job they have, which is why they're too busy to spend time with the kid. But the message always ends up being "Oh it's totally fine for the parent to quit that job or get fired, because spending time with your kid is more important than having money to buy food and pay bills!" It's a terrible message that is in SO many movies.

As far as I’m concerned, Prehysteria! began and ended with the first movie. A better question is what happened to the Spanish guy at the end of the first movie who clearly knew the family had the dinosaurs? Did they just decide to forget all about that loose end?
The chef is Japanese? And keeps referencing various songs and artists? Wouldn't it be interesting if that was a 20yr ahead-of-its-time JoJo homage? (Though I guess that would be contemporary with Part 3+4...? Which is right now in the anime.)
@@sparkymist The anime/manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. A lot of the fighting moves for the characters in it are named after songs. ("Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" is an example of a song they reference, there are many others too.)
I knew you would go right into reviewing the Prehysteria sequels, and I'm also learn that the 3 film is from the same director of A TALKING CAT!?! 3:12- I makes sense in Jurassic World for everyone accepting the dinosaurs existing, because the park was already opened for a decade. If I ever saw a living, breathing dino that's the same size as my Jurassic World T-Rex figure that I got at Toys R' Us last week, I'd shit myself. 5:24- At least they didn't call him Bruce Wayne, 'cause if they did, both his parents would be dead, and these bullies would deserve what would come to them. If I want a zany exterminator, I'll stick with Christopher Walkin from MouseHunt, thank you very much. 9:30- Comedically reviewing movies on the internet = the best job in the world. 12:03- I think that Robin Williams in Hook throwing his cellphone out the window was better than this.
