- This was my first time trying this style. I think it would be suitable for a little girl as well (idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing, lol)
This is a very simple natural hair updo.

Yea, its interesting how she does that. its almost like a double-flat-twist, because she grabs a small piece of hair on both sides, rather than just on one side of the flat twist. I usually grab one piece on the outside, but this method gives it more lift or height. really interesting!! not sure I can do that, I'll stick with what i know!!

Thank you! That's what works for me...I have no idea how I started grabbing from both sides, but when I try to grab from just one side...it's a no-go, lol
Grabbing from just one side is confusing to me...so we both just have to stick with what works for us...lol

Thank you. I tried this style yesterday on freshly washed hair as I was replaying your video and watching you do it. It came out similar, not exact but I like the end results.

I just spent 4 hours trying to flat twist my way to this style. Finally I just rolled the hair tightly. Then I spent 2 hours trying to do a bun and finally I did something back there, I don't know..... Oh well. A pound of Gorilla Snot, Amla Temple Edge Tamer (hair frizzed as quick as I applied them), and its 6:25a.m. I started at 8:30 last night with washing. Got my scarf on and I'm going to sleep. "Good grief!"

Wow! Lol... I think all you need to do is maybe spend a day practicing flat twists... Do you know how to french braid? If it would've taken me that long, I would've just ended up doin a twist out or something instead.
No lie, that was my exact life one time when I tried to do 6 cornrows into a bun, when I was learning to cornrow. So I've been there, done that, u are most defs not alone!

Beautiful! How long do styles like this last for your hair and how do you moisturize them?
Thank you! I usually don't do many styles where my hair is left out (slicked back into a ponytail). So that sides gets pretty frizzy, pretty fast... This isn't a long wearing style. I just wash it when I am done with the style.
