Awesome design. I'm a big fan of tracker and kukri style blades. As soon as I've seen the Makri I knew had to have it, plus it comes in my favorite colour scheme. I'm really curious to see if it can do tracker curls like my Tops T4 ;) for sure it will be a better slicer for food because of the thinner grind, can't wait to have it. Just too bad the makri doesn't have the thumb pushoff on kydex but I'm going heat it and mod it myself. It should be here next week, can't wait!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. Yes, I think the thin blade and curl in the edge makes this knife a great carver/cutter. I hope you'll find it useful. The idea with kydex sheath was that it is more like a neck knife and if you wear it on a string then you just pull the handle and it comes out of the sheath. Or maybe if you attach it with an Ulticlip then also it can be pulled out without that little flap.
@@kornelkiss6890yes infact I do prefer to carry very small fixed blades with an ulticlip positioned iwb at 1 o'clock. It's not a must but it's cool to have a more controlled way of deployment as well as the simple pull. No big deal tho, it's literally a matter of seconds to mod it by briefly taking a lighter to the edge of the sheath then gently rolling the edge over with a thumb. Thanks for your kind support and hats off to you for such cool design. Btw I really appreciate the more dramatic angle of the small one to maximize cutting power. Can't wait to start rocking this one soon!
Well done, nice knives!
I'll buy the big one.
Greetings from germany!
Thank you! I'm glad you like them.
В поиске так и написал "boker mikri and makri".
Yes, I thought this video will be useful to compare them. But anyway, the Mikri is the bigger and thicker one.
Oh I wanted to ask you, what's the notch at the bottom of the blade for? It seems purposeful but i have no idea.
One notch is common in knives, it helps sharpening the edge at the choil. I made two notches to these knives to somehow refer to the "kukhri notch" you can find on traditional kukhris.
Oh I see. I heard it was for the sake of breaking off the tension during hard use, going the blade the ability to flex more and therefore avoiding breakage. I figure that could not be it here since it's not a long blade, however it's kind of a nice touch even if just for tradition's sake @@kornelkiss6890
Why mikri is bigger one though? Its kinda confusing😅
I hope noone gets too confused by these names.
@@kornelkiss6890 yeah, makri sounds like macro and mikri like micro. Or does it mean something else? Anyways really cool knives. I would definitely get bigger one.
@@steppebro9275 The truth is that these are both rather Mini kukhris, but I could not give the same name, so I had to make them different. Mikri and Makri sounds like two brothers to me. It just like this.
@@steppebro9275 The bigger one is a good choice for an EDC knife. I think it is capable of every usual chores. The smaller one can be a backup knife or useful for special chores with its curvy blade and thinner blade thickness.
@@kornelkiss6890 design is great! Btw sick logo👌
