Very nice video. I like the ball in the middle comment. So simple but when you don't know it is far from simple. I really appreciate your information. I'm try to cut down on down time because of work. Thanks again.
Fantastic! Thanks for the comment. We have a few videos on the unit. Our channel is a little bit of everything so we are sure you'll find something you'll find useful or like.:)
@@Jimmy2Tech yes we actually really love the walk through video it was the best one we found when we were shopping. Would love to see more videos on anything for this camper :)

@@Jimmy2Tech great we get it June 30 so once we move in I'm sure I'll think of something haha definitely have the RV thermostat and the slide toppers on our list :)

Question. My slide is real close to my patio awning. Are you able to adjust the mounting to slide the whole thing a little more to one side? In my case to clear my patio awning. Thanks.
We don't have a how to on that as this unit had them pre-installed. You can find some videos out there of individuals who installed them for reference. I'd say it's one of the most bothersome jobs because you have to put holes through your rv. Never a fun task.
Flare the end of the top track and deburr so you don’t snag/tear the fabric. Use a ratcheting drill, not an impact drill, to avoid popping screw heads and stripping hole threads.
When the slide is open all the way it will always stay as far out as the roller is, so it will be past the slide by about 2 to 3 inches. Depends on where it sits on the outside of the slideout (the angle)
When finished, yours didn't look like you have a down angle for water to run-off. Should the roller not be down farther so water runs off the Topper? The so called "professional" I hired, left these level like you did. Rain water collects on the top, pooling there, stretching the canvas, and it runs off the middle of the topper. Can the brackets be flipped to give more of a downward angle?
Hello John, That is the same thing I thought, especially when you watch the Lippert install videos and it shows the front bracket being lower on the slides. Our 5th wheel came with the brackets installed already from the factory and that is what we went with. The front brackets have 2 positions and we have it on the lowest position but it still looks like it could be lower. I have tried contacting Lippert about the position of the brackets factory installed on the new RV's but have not gotten a response yet. We also use inflatable rubber balls you get from Walmart to put under the slide toppers to help with the sag and also helps with the wind, work pretty good. Thanks for watching.
Can you guys share what size toppers you bought for your 378FL? Im buying the same unit and want to make sure im ordering the right sizes. Thanks so much!
We sure can, here are the links to the sizes we bought for ours... amzn.to/3Cf2q6W 9'6" (9'1" Fabric) amzn.to/3VA8wWj 7'6" (7'1" Fabric) 2 of these amzn.to/3Cd1LmC 9' (8'7" Fabric) amzn.to/3IeS4YA 7' (6'7" Fabric) We will also put links in the description.
@@ellirager7 If you are unsure you can just measure the outside of the slide from edge to edge to get the size you need. The 9'6" is for the kitchen slide, the 9' one is for the dining slide, the 2 - 7'6" ones are for the 2 living room slides and the 7' one is for the bedroom slide.
Look on Amazon did not see anything made by Lippert my question is was it specifically Lippert that you bought or did you buy Solara and they ended up sending you Lipert
You measure the outside of your slide from side to side. Including the T molding. Then, you take that measurement and make sure the fabric of the topper you order is the same measurement.
Sounds like you need to put a wind or 2 on the spring. They will loose some tension over time. That is done by spinning the end of the awning arm with the spring, in the direction of tension. This will add tension to the spring and should make it tighter. There are videos that show how to tension your awnings. Hope this helps.
Sorry yid it was a little quiet. Our mics were not as good when we were recording this vdeo. If there is a part you couldn't hear, just let me know and I'll be happy to translate.
It's easier than you think to learn the difference between then and than.

Yes, the brackets do have some level of adjustment. You can easily avoid your patio awning.
Is there any real difference in black and white other than the white might be cooler in summer?
I'd say that is probably the main difference.
Thanks for the how-to, guys! 😀
No problem. Thanks for the comment :)
NIce Video. I have installed my slide topper. It has a bit of play in the fabric. How can I tighten the fabric up. Thanks, Deb
You would need another turn on the tube to gain more tension on the spring.
Our RV does not have the brackets already installed. Do you have a How To video to do that?
We don't have a how to on that as this unit had them pre-installed. You can find some videos out there of individuals who installed them for reference. I'd say it's one of the most bothersome jobs because you have to put holes through your rv. Never a fun task.

Was the slid all the way in or out how far ?
To install we had the slide out about 1 foot.
Tips for if you don't already have the brackets on your RV? 😕
The kit also comes with the brackets that you can install. Just make sure you seal them up good after install.
Where did you purchase the slide toppers from!
Got them right off Amazon :)

I bought a camper with the awning in place, but it's loose, ho was do I tighten it, it's floppy
