I gasped as the L approached Cicero 1:38 and I was mesmerized by the view of Chicago's magnificent skyline. I haven't seen Chicago from the Westside like this since I left. It's amazing how many miles you can see from just three stories up in Chicago.
Isn't Cicero at 1:45? With 0.25 speed it's like real time but without sound. I like these railroad videos, you can see the backyard of a town and get a real impression.
Kee Lo Chicago has an extensive alley system. www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org/pages/38.html The L after it leaves the Loop ( last stop Wabash & Adams) runs mainly through alleys that's why the building are so close.
Very interesting elevated sky train system and subway system The loop in what looks like downtown Chicago is even more interesting looks old though The loop seems to cover 4 main thoroughfares Wabash Ave, State St, Wells St, and Van Buren St The buildings are magnificent in the main city of Chicago awesome skyline
In addition to 63rd/Racine, 63rd/Wentworth, 59th/State, 61st/Calumet, 63rd/University, 63rd/Dorchester and 63rd/Stony Island (Jackson Park) should be reopened.
University of Chicago won't allow it. Too much money and of course, politics as well. I hated the fact that they tore that segment down. I was like 12 or 13 when the CAT tore it down.
First thing I'm going to do when I visit Chicago I'm taking my son on a train trip on all the all lines. Gonna show him my hometown
I love the greenline! Grew up by it in Oak Park. Nice memories riding to the loop for a joyride. Thanks for uploading!

Alexander Vollmer Yes. The approach to Cicero hints at what is to come to me.
It looks a lot cleaner than London or New York!
I am surprised at how close buildings are to the tracks though!

The "L" is over 100 years old.
There aren't enough stations.
CTA can I ask you a question is a nice one
What music name is this? Because I can’t find it
But did anyone see the Red Line at 7:04?
can't wait for yellow and purple
This is awesome,
you guys should reopen racine
Yeah they should
They should allow passengers to go from King Drive to Cottage Grove
@@matei5929, I don't think that's really necessary when you have a bus line that takes you there.
Did they rebuild that curve at Lake and Wabash it appears not as sharp as I remember.
Yep, 2008 I believe.
At 3:53 omg another green line train just disappeared
Too blurry.
