I washed mine with Olaplex shampoo and conditioner and now it looks like a damaged, frizzy mess :(

Should you just rinse the hair with water and let it air dry the first time you open it?

Yes lovely! No need to actually wash it. Wetting it a little when its new helps to thicken it x
