My father was on there during the second war, there were many attempted bombings off the bridge, Naval dockyard in Rosyth and the armaments depot at Crombie. Submarines were often detected by the nets at Cramond, Inchkeith and Inchgarvie. Thanks for giving me a chance to take me his workplace. 🙂
Crazy lads, but a towing tip for boats, do it as a bridle two points port and starboard side, a lot more control than coming off the bow. I would never attempt this with that little puppup motor not a chance and I'm a skipper.
Hi guys i have missed you Johny Al Mark had to kick a blood clot n anarysm.Love the red bridge awsome i love you guys cant wait till the next #1 i have a lot of catching up to do.
Seem a pretty cool place with a lot of history. Looks like you could jump on the island from the railroad bridge as long as no trains that is 😂nice find thank you for taking us along stay safe 🥰
I noticed this island a few days ago from the train going over the bridge on my way home from a cave and mine expedition in the peak district and thought that would be a good explore. Now the Hell on Earth crew are there. Nice work boys!
Check the tides and wind conditions next time! Best to cross an hour either side of HW or LW (proving you have enough water) as the tide flow slows down before it turns…also, the reason for the chop in the waves is because it’s wind against tide causing confused seas..
... a good fibre-glass canoe will be preferable for this water ... the canoe will be aero-dynamic and can be paddled without a motor ... also more space on the canoe ... and i know this from experience in much rougher water than this that the fibre-glass canoe is the way to go here ...
You should checkout Brean Down near Weston Super Mare. WW2 Bunkers and embattlements. Great place grew up down there. If your feeling brave see if you can get out to Steep Holme and Flat Holme the 2 Islands.
Its insane how they can go a mile underground and feel fine but out on the open sea in the most densely populated part of Scotland and they're cacking themselves XD
You posed a question here if RUclips changed, and I had to choose one person to watch. That's tough. But we love you guys so much we want to meet you and could continue to watch your shenanigans on the daily.
Love theses boating vids. HoE motor boating merch is a must. I’d buy it On a second note. I was there a couple months ago. Did you go in the “worlds smallest lighthouse”?
Great video lads. My mate was a fisherman and used to head out there all the time with his mates for a piss up. That and Bass Rock. If you're in the mood for bird poo get yourself down to Bass Rock
Blackboard Astrix n Loydy!😂, well done getting there n back without getting wet or drowning!😁, I thought you were going to bottle it like Al did with his abseiling in the mine, which interestingly enough James showed a clip of that last night on the impossible channel!😂, great video guy's cheers!😜✌️
Pretty sure Inchgarvie was used as a prison and both Inchgarvie and Inchkeith were used as dumping grounds for plague victims rather than this particular island.
I so want someone to do an edit with Baywatch music over this 🤣🤣 Other than that, bloody Brilliant video guys! What a fantastic place, I'm so glad that you did this 😊 I can't believe that you had to tow them tossers, should have cut the rope left them to drift 😉😂 My vote is for Hell on Earth to survive 👍🏻🤣🤣 Edited. I forgot the pair of them holding hands, that was hilarious 😂😂😂
it's alot better than the one it replaced 1879 75 lost to the water below this one was designed to avoid the disaster happening again so it is way more stable and considered one of the many marvels of Victorian engineering
Ah cool lads. Did you get a. Pint at the Hawes Inn right next to where you boarded the boat? I was there staying a month ago whilst working in Kirkliston. Hope you had a most excellent stay…I sure did! Cheers !
Wow wow wow! Well done you guys. Any plans to do the old Thames forts, as depicted in the Slade film 'In Flame' It's fairly obvious to me who is tractor, and who is trailer when it comes to Urbex channels. Who has the big chopper and who has the pea shooter, who has the van that works, and who doesnae, who has a proppa dingy with an engine and everything, and who has to be towed on and off the island! Liked Lloydey's comment when he asked who would they trust to drive the boat/engine, and had to tell them to STFU! HOABL
The Firth Of Forth was the first place in the U.K. the Germans bombed in WW2 because a lot of the U.K. Navy were in the estuary plus they knew the importance of the area after WW1. If you google the The Forth River after WW1 you’ll see all the German Navy Ships were sent up the forth to be decommissioned before getting sent up north to be suck.
The lads in the rear boat could have used their paddle/ore to steer their boat when towed behind you guys. Loved the audacity of you all crossing the estuary in the way you did, top drawer!
So u need to under stand tide so u can aim diagonally using the tide to curve u in🏴 I'm sure the island was disguised as a battle ship from the air so they bomb that instead of bridge there was a story of a bomb passed through the Cross section of bridge just missing it.rivits were 3 man job there were no rivet guns 1 man heats rivets in fire 1 man throws at drill hole other man smashes it with sledge hammer as u can imagine the injurys building it
Fair play to you guys braveing it out on the high seas in that little thing with its poot poot engine, i was sure lloydy was goin to kill it hlf way across 😂🤗👻
Fuxking brilliant 👏 only got to the bit where you reach shore but gotta say the suspense the bullshit and the camera work is fuxking amazing well done lads...aka mark
Was it just me or was the sensor of your A7 getting dirtier and dirtier as the explore went on? I would hate to change lenses in the locations you guys go to.
A very cool explore, but crossing the Forth in inflatable dinghies is damned risky! The currents through there are very powerful. The crappy weather at this time of year doesn't help either.
What kind of nets? Underwater nets to stop submarines which get tangled? That's crazy
Well said I don't know why a bunch of goons bother with old damp places my only thought was the old gun, they left me on the island
Well said I don't know why a bunch of goons bother with old damp places my only thought was the old gun, they left me on the island
Been a while since I checked out the channel. Time for a binge session. Lovely work mates.
Is it me or has Al stepped up the one liners lately? The training has finally paid off 😂😂
Always love your videos, I think you’re one of the few explorer RUclips channels that are still genuine and real, keep up the good work lads
Crazy lads, but a towing tip for boats, do it as a bridle two points port and starboard side, a lot more control than coming off the bow. I would never attempt this with that little puppup motor not a chance and I'm a skipper.
I know less about the island now than when I started- love the channel
Six minutes in an it’s already like the beginning of an episode of baywatch 😂
More like Gaywatch
Gaywatch?
@@Baneful_Ben grants dad is
I've sea kayaked to that island and the currents by the train bridge footings are insane. Scared the shit out of me. good fun in hindsight :D
It's bloody shame these guys died. But at least the found footage gave us one last laugh.👍🇨🇦

Thanks guys.. great vid for i got to see this through you all daring to go where many wouldn't .. keep safe :)
Its insane how they can go a mile underground and feel fine but out on the open sea in the most densely populated part of Scotland and they're cacking themselves XD
Brilliant video lads. You should of got Al to start shouting "where go going now" while in the guntower. Hahaha
Amazing location and a proper epic drone extravaganza
Great to see a link up with urbanoned
Did well on them choppy waters, beautiful view of the bridge, great job as always
You posed a question here if RUclips changed, and I had to choose one person to watch. That's tough. But we love you guys so much we want to meet you and could continue to watch your shenanigans on the daily.

Top Job Chaps 🤘
Love theses boating vids. HoE motor boating merch is a must. I’d buy it
On a second note. I was there a couple months ago. Did you go in the “worlds smallest lighthouse”?
My uncle was posted here for a while during the war. The spent most of the time watching for uboats.
Great video lads. My mate was a fisherman and used to head out there all the time with his mates for a piss up. That and Bass Rock. If you're in the mood for bird poo get yourself down to Bass Rock
My neck of the woods! Nice one lads
Top effort. Great explore.
Props fit sporting the new Mullet 🤟🎸
1882 .....mind blowing
Richard Huckle is steering the boat FFS. 😂
Ive just bought a converted lighthouse.....nothing flashy
Blackboard Astrix n Loydy!😂, well done getting there n back without getting wet or drowning!😁, I thought you were going to bottle it like Al did with his abseiling in the mine, which interestingly enough James showed a clip of that last night on the impossible channel!😂, great video guy's cheers!😜✌️

Shame there was no phone, IKS would have loved this one ☎️
Awesome video boys!!!
That's somewhere I've always wanted to visit.

it's alot better than the one it replaced 1879 75 lost to the water below this one was designed to avoid the disaster happening again so it is way more stable and considered one of the many marvels of Victorian engineering
Queensferry, Edinburgh. I go down there fairly often, there's a cafe called 'bikers cove' great spot with some amazing views
Ah cool lads. Did you get a. Pint at the Hawes Inn right next to where you boarded the boat? I was there staying a month ago whilst working in Kirkliston. Hope you had a most excellent stay…I sure did! Cheers !

1000th like. Possibly my lifetime's proudest milestone
even with my crippling drug addiction, I still wouldn't trade lives with Al 😅
epic find fellas be safe
You lot on a boat. Now that's a great idea 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Started off like a episode of last of the summer wine
Wow wow wow! Well done you guys. Any plans to do the old Thames forts, as depicted in the Slade film 'In Flame'

Absolute lifesavers I ve had a traumatic day to say the least 😽

If the weather changed only the best survive! You boys of course 🤔😊
Above and beyond lads. Great content.
Question : Would you ever think of going to the USA to do a video and where would you go?
The can't get visas cos they are all ex-cons.
That was awesome, I wish I was doing that
You should have told the Tour Boats; "Go Away, This is Our Island Now!"
The lads in the rear boat could have used their paddle/ore to steer their boat when towed behind you guys. Loved the audacity of you all crossing the estuary in the way you did, top drawer!
Loved this video❣ Thanks guys, you're all as awesome as your videos and your humor ❣
Oy, from the shores of Lake Superior
Enjoyed the jaunty " We're on a dingy" intro, great vid lads.

pipes at 16.42 look like flue liners
Fair play to you guys braveing it out on the high seas in that little thing with its poot poot engine, i was sure lloydy was goin to kill it hlf way across 😂🤗👻
Bit disappointed that Norton and Al didn't recreate any scenes from Titanic...
Just a heads up for anyone mad enough to try this:: don't visit during nesting season cos you will piss off the birds.
Fuxking brilliant 👏 only got to the bit where you reach shore but gotta say the suspense the bullshit and the camera work is fuxking amazing well done lads...aka mark
Should have tied the boats together less drag on the motor
Oi oi the lads maybe take less of a risk for the next video 😆 that was madness 🙃
1:43 Your music has given me a movie vibe and i have to watch a movie now😆 👍
You boys are here in Scotland? Wish I’d have known😂 live just around the corner
Amazing video...when are the lighters and green hats coming back in Nortons general store!
Was it just me or was the sensor of your A7 getting dirtier and dirtier as the explore went on? I would hate to change lenses in the locations you guys go to.
I enjoyed that one guys keep up the good work
A very cool explore, but crossing the Forth in inflatable dinghies is damned risky! The currents through there are very powerful. The crappy weather at this time of year doesn't help either.
These 3 and a boat, jeeez.
You guys should go to Drakes Island, Plymouth next (if you haven’t already that is)
Really good video lads well done 🚤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
