Thank you for sharing your adventure with the world. I have always wondered what was in there! It looks like an ancient 'alien mine' or something, since it is a perfect circle. I have added your videos to my subscription list.
Thank God for brave people so there! I would never dive into a place like this so mysterious! So good they were there, to show that there's nothing horror down over there.
Great Video, but a bit scaring for those who have never dived in so deep waters. Thank you for sharing, we believe that it was an exciting experience for you all. Cheers
Its like flying and just chill, I thought Im going to freak out but I really didnt feel any stress the first time and it's just so awesome! I can really just recommend it
dude I totally thought it is like that. My dad took me to get my scuba diving permit and I realized that it is so much more different than that. Its just extremely chill down there
Beautiful video. I would love to dive there. Yes the ocean can be scary. You don't dive there unless you're an experienced diver. Trust me, these guys know what they're doing.
Im with you on this, but i cant help fantasizing about space i would love to go there even tho there is an incredible abyss there as well but it doesn't scare me like the sea does :o
Damn, 140 feet - Must have been breathing Nitrox. I really have a hard limit of 100 feet on air and never tried the blends. Been there and it is beautiful. Got there in 2006 after spending 3 months doing base line fish and coral studies to measure the future effect by tourism on the reef system.
seriously dude i know right, its in us all, that fear of looking into nothing and hoping something big doesn't come out of it, must be some kind of primal human fear of the water
seriously. i can see it being a huge attraction but all it takes is 1 hungry shark to turn this beautiful dive into a death pit. i wouldnt risk my life for it.
The fusion song in the first half of the half of the video is exactly the stuff performed by the band started by my old high school friend named Jerry Kennedy
dude same i was sooo scared the first time i went diving, but once you get to the bottom its okay because you can see everything. and also most dives are 40 feet max, this sort of thing is for experienced divers...
I snorkeled for the first time in my life , not too far from this hole . It was amazing the amount of sea life and fish were swimming with me .. Sand Sharks, Barracuda, Sting Ray, Turtles. Parrot Fish, Eels Tang, clown it spoiled it from that point on anywhere else in the world I snorkeled as they were all pretty empty of Marine life
They should go to enchanted river in the phillipines and dive there :) . The cool part is nobody have ever reach its bottom :) . I will go there someday
How do you safely swim with sharks? The policy -- don't bother them and they won't bother you -- seems a little simplistic given the stakes. What did you do to keep them away?
I feel the same way about open waters. My bestfriend took me kayaking when we went to Catalina Island and I've never been so scared in my life. He wanted to go way out into the middle of the ocean and I said yeah even though I didn't want to do it. I will NEVER do that shit again.
Great diving location. But OMG, such a group of amateurs (judging by the erratic soooo much not-diver under-water behaviour such as "swimming" using arms and kicking fins like racing a dolphin, tourist-equipment etc.) combined with the depth of 40 meters... uhh, I only hope that all of you made a safe emerging. :)
I am only here because of a College assignment but sheesh I love the IDEA of diving into the Great Blue Hole in Belize. However, there is no way on earth that I could do that. LMAO! I'd be so scared and think I'm going to die in that 400ft of water. I wonder have any died in there...
I was born and raised in Belize and no one has ever died from The Great Blue hole lol Because if someone did they would stop people from visiting it...So we learn in our schools in Belize
Shaniqua Jenkins i think you should visit it would be one of the greatest experiences of your life something no one ever regrets or forgets just bring a lot of shorts and tank tops because its hotter than Vegas haha...try our foreign fruits (star apple, crabu, tambran) my favs
@ProStringsify not exactly explode...more like crushed...you would explode in the atmosphere...in the deep water, you would get crushed due to the large pressure in the deep water...but they aren't that deep yet to "explode"...
they cannot reach to the bottom of the blue hole because their tank will get empty and no one can touch the bottom of the blue hole by the way I live in Belize
I Love this video . It looks like such a fun experience. And the music is awesome lol
Still watching 2021
This video deserves more views
Wow! That was a fantastic video! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed this video, thumbs up from us and cheers from sunny IGY Simpson Bay Marina, Sint Maarten in the Caribbean.

Thank God for brave people so there! I would never dive into a place like this so mysterious! So good they were there, to show that there's nothing horror down over there.

I would freak out so much if it tried this. It looks so scary, yet you guys are all relaxed!!
Here 8 yrs later.. still fascinated
THANKS FOR YOUR UPLOAD

What a great place, I love SCUBA diving...
omg i LOVE this video! so beautiful!
Beautiful video. I would love to dive there. Yes the ocean can be scary. You don't dive there unless you're an experienced diver. Trust me, these guys know what they're doing.
Scary....but smiling faces of divers make me cheery
Can't wait to be there!!!! In 2 months time!
Waww this is so amazing 😱❤️
Im with you on this, but i cant help fantasizing about space i would love to go there even tho there is an incredible abyss there as well but it doesn't scare me like the sea does :o
btw, that song is called "Under the Gun", not "Space Oddity" and it's track 12 on the Supreme Beings of Leisure's self-titled album from 2000.

i wouldnt risk my life for it.
Wow great video! I did this dive too last summer and got a video on my channel but my camera wasn't quite as good as yours...
My favourite dive. Like nothing else on earth. Aliens.
That's awesome. I wish I had the equipment and the resources to do that!
The fusion song in the first half of the half of the video is exactly the stuff performed by the band started by my old high school friend named Jerry Kennedy
Very cool. Were those Nurse Sharks?
Very cool!
What was the maximum depth reached?
Thank
Very very good video.

Planning on diving the Great Blue Hole in Oct, 2015.
Ooh..just reading the comments on this vid and came across yours..did you dive this last month? How neat!
Loved the video, so jealous! Do you guys live in LA?
LMAO! GOD I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY! IT'S NOT KNOWING WHAT CAN BE THERE THAT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME!
I love when people make videos like this to cure my curiosity fetish.
lol, like that song.. does anyone know how it is called?
I remember doing a night snorkel there at Catalina Island. Scared shitless.
Been having this video on my likes for 10 yrs.. just thought I comment.. Bowie was still alive and strong.. wait.. he still is

Now that is a good occasion to say YOLO
Wish I could dive there!
woot., was that a shark?
what exactly is it?
Guys, it's only 125 meters. People have reached the bottom.
Whats the first song!???
how deep is it?
what was that weird thing at 7:06???
@wwearepilots Thanks so much! :):):):)
the sea is awesome.
On scuba at 140? What size tanks where you guys using?
Pretty cool dive but 8 minutes bottom time at 130 ft is a little short for me. Worth doing once in a lifetime though !
I feel the same way about open waters. My bestfriend took me kayaking when we went to Catalina Island and I've never been so scared in my life. He wanted to go way out into the middle of the ocean and I said yeah even though I didn't want to do it. I will NEVER do that shit again.
Is it free to make a dive there?
Man imagine if it was at night
I just imagined it. It was the same but darker.
is blue hole a killer hole?
And you dive?? wherethe pool onlu????
What is the name of the song at 3:39? It sounds like The Bee Gees.
ground control to major Tom ~ David bowe
What kinda padi certificate do i need for this dive?
+5691leslie I think youd need the Deep diver course! If you want to go to 40m! might aswell do the advance/deep diver course at the same time
god. i would have a panic attack if i went scuba diving that deep. i would also have a heart attack. they werent even half way down!!!
What if you're out of oxygen?
nice job overall. music is a lil distracting but ok. i think some segments where only the live sounds of scuba were heard would be cool.
We need to go deeper
Supreme Beings of Leisure - Under The Gun
look like fun.
THANX BUT NO THANX. Lmao the sharks would smell my fear, and taste my piss
F*ck this is awesome congrats
Astonishing diving site....those amateurs, were quite irresponsible, but worse the divemaster that took them there!!!
arent you gonna explode at that deep?
@UberLifeTroll why, I think some are nice!
@MsKitty9191 It sounded like Jem I think?
Consider that in the darkness out beyond visibility are sharks and other fun things looking in at you. MUWAHAHAHAHA!
@darknessofkrish I can't agree with you more on every single point. Glad i'm not the only one who feels that way xD
yes but you have to have a certificate and experience in cave diving and the knowlege of mixed gases
@Fushiko Yay merrilly! That's one of the things I could never imagine myself doing!
Only one thing could possibly get me in that hole, and thankfully, it hasn't been invented yet.
Can anyone go swimming in this hole?
Me too, I Iove sealife, but eek! What is underneath you!
Agreed, and all the fish brushing on you wouldn't help the feeling.
I'm terrified of deep water. More than that...I'm terrified of deep water in darkness.
Dem bicycle kicks
these ocean holes just freak me out man.

You don't have to go all the way down to 400 ft. lol, you can go to 130 for recreational diving.
Oh ok lol
I was born and raised in Belize and no one has ever died from The Great Blue hole lol Because if someone did they would stop people from visiting it...So we learn in our schools in Belize
Sheranda Edmund Wow! I would love to visit someday
Shaniqua Jenkins i think you should visit it would be one of the greatest experiences of your life something no one ever regrets or forgets just bring a lot of shorts and tank tops because its hotter than Vegas haha...try our foreign fruits (star apple, crabu, tambran) my favs

@xMvsHD -- i think you are
Lol outro.....remember?
@billyman1012 you wouldn't explode in the atmosphere
waaah boleh neeh coba menyelam disini ...
they cannot reach to the bottom of the blue hole because their tank will get empty and no one can touch the bottom of the blue hole by the way I live in Belize
Não chegava nem perto! Nem ferrando!
i thought it was written dying in the title. since there's no one dying here I guess I'll just leave
what if the hole has 1000 time the gravity of the earth and anyone will go over it will sink and will never return to the surface again.
