At 18:00, San Vitale. It fascinates me to this day because it is the first church with detailed documentation of the process of founding a church based on a will, in this case, the will of Vestina, the matron mentioned by you. Pages 78-79 of my book The Lost Gold of Rome (Sutton Publishing, 2007) include several paragraphs discussing the financial aspects, includingthe findings of my own research. The Castoriani Bakery was part of the endowment. It brought a revenue of 61 solidi (1 solidus equaled about US $286 at 2005 rates). I concluded tentatively that the money made by the Castoriani bakery translated into the grain requirement of about 51 cavalrymen for one year.
Thanks for bringing me to one of my favorite sites in Rome😊

Nice avenue, nice buildings, nice fountain, but even more beatiful is the very old entrance to the basilica of San Vitale.
The ancient baths of Diocletian and above the villa Aldobrandini. Is it true that most of ancient Rome lies underground ?
Beatiful statues of the past, but more beatiful are the living sculptures of Roman women.
    Good video. Thanks.

There is still much to be excavated from ancient Rome. The layers of the centuries have largely preserved what is hidden in depth. It is estimated that the Roman remains can reach up to 15-20 meters underground, and in some cases even deeper, depending on the area. Greetings Juan. 🙂👋

Fantastic!!!!Fantastico!!!! Thank you for showing us San Vitale. Never got a chance to see this very interesting church. I definitely have to see the remains of some of the Servian wall. That is an amazing wonder!!! Watching your videos is a very beneficial way of gaging how far or close the sites are to each other. Seeing how close ( 30 minutes) the monument of Vittorio Emanuele ll is to Piazza Republica was a discovery. Grazie mille Romano Impero!

    Bonjour Impero Romano,
    Encore merci 👍🖐️.

    • @RomanoImperoTv
      @RomanoImperoTv  2 года назад +1

Buen regreso a Roma Enrique. 🙂👌

      Buen domingo!

The House of Savoy had lasted 1000 years , after it stole Rome , King dies of pneumonia, son shot ,the grandson was kicked to Egypt. And his son was told to leave italy.

Yes, the Savoia in Italy are only loved in the north, the rest of the country frowns upon them for how they have behaved in the past. 😅
