    BELLA ARCHITETTURA.

    Thx. One thing (among many) that makes this so enjoyable is the wonderful videography, often looking up to capture architectural detail , which you might miss while walking.

      Thank you Jim, in fact I am very keen to show the parts that are not normally seen, because part of the beauty of Rome is also in the mosaic of its roofs and cornices. 😉

    I have never been to Rome, but when I go, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva is one of my main destinations. I saw it in the movie "The Cardinal" years ago, and was stunned!

      Yes, it is a very good area, quite secluded and elevated and its buildings have a certain charm. 🙂

    Roma mi piace perchè oltre alle cose grandiose ha nel centro cinque - seicentesco degli scorci , delle strade e stradine, alle volte anche vicoli che mi danno la sensazione di vedere il centro storico di Genova,
    Anche per questo amo tanto Roma.

    • @RomanoImperoTv
      @RomanoImperoTv  Год назад

      Non l'avevo mai vista sotto questo punto di vista non conscendo Genova. La devo venire a vedere un giorno. 🙂

    Wow!!! Romano Impero, this video was fantastic!!! We've walked down these streets and didn't realize the amazing historical facts that you mention in this video. Two more churches that we need to visit : San Giovanni delle pigna and Sanctissime Stigmata di San Francesco. Each has its own character and beauty. Your information is greatly appreciated. I agree that Santa Maria Sopra Minerva is one of the top gems of Rome and shouldn't be missed. A presto

      True Chaterine, Rome is so full of beautiful buildings, which often go unnoticed, that one would have to walk through it several times to enjoy its great beauty. 😉 Thank you as always for your impressions, it is always a pleasure to read them. 🙂👋

    Another great video, thanks!
    I watched the British Classist Mary Beard’s “History of Rome”, it’s a five hours series available on RUclips.
    She says Rome is still alive through the Catholic Church and somehow we are all Romans.
    Really remarkable. It’s amazing European countries have a provincial mindset in comparison. If Romans were in charge of the EU today, they would allow any country in the world to join in and they wouldn’t had allowed the Brits to leave 😅 🇬🇧

      The restoration of the empire that truly unites the peoples of Europe as it did 2000 years ago? That would be a beautiful dream, but each European nation is really too proud to accept that and it remains only a beautiful dream. 🙂 Thank you RPG. 😉

      @@RomanoImperoTv Not only Europe but the whole world 🗺️😅
      Some theory claims that the Roman Empire went into decadence because it established borders. The system was such that it needed to keep expanding
      Waiting for your new video!

      Magnífico homenaje le haces, a la que creo debe ser tu ciudad.
      Es verdad, que ayudas a fomentar el turismo y, lo que es mejor, visitantes informados, viajeros curiosos.
      Pero, también cumples una tarea cultural encomiable.
      No todos podrán visitar Roma, pero sí aproximarse en detalle, gracias a ti.
      Muchas gracias y saludos.

      Se me olvidaba. La pequeña iglesia de San Giovanni della Pigna, es deliciosa. Las tonalidades que la devoran, ayudan a elevar el espíritu.
      Los frescos de Lippi, en Santa María sopra Minerva, una de las obras de arte que más me conmueve.

    Le "petit" éléphant du Bernin a bien du mérite à supporter cet obélisque depuis tant de siècles. Je l'aime beaucoup. Je sais que les romains lui donne un surnom affectueux mais je ne me souviens plus duquel...
    Le Largo Di Torre Argentina et son forum de Pompé dans la curie duquel Jules César trouva la mort. À l'opposé des jardins qui le précédaient se trouvait le théâtre de Pompé. L'ensemble était très étendu... mais il me semble que ce site antique porte aussi le nom de "forum argetinum"🤔(dites moi si je me trompe...).

    • @RomanoImperoTv
      @RomanoImperoTv  Год назад +1

      Le nom largo di torre argentina vient de la tour qui est restée sur un côté de la place. C'était la demeure d'un maître de cérémonie de la papauté comme Johannes Burckardt, qui, étant né à Strasbourg (l'ancienne Argentoratum) donna le nom d'Argentinum à la demeure dont on ne voit que la tour encore debout, en réalité elle était beaucoup plus étendue. 🙂 Oui, sur le côté est de la place se trouve une partie des vestiges du théâtre de Pompée, le lieu où César est mort, hélas. Merci Pierre, 😉👍

      Vero, Roma avrebbe bisogno di un pò più di rispetto e amore. 😐

    • @catherinechiara3914
      @catherinechiara3914 Год назад +1

      Absolutely!!!! If these perpetrators could only imagine the beauty and preciousness that they are destroying. There was a big campaign in North America in the 1960's which encouraged small children to refrain from throwing garbage on the ground. If they did, they were shamed by being called " Litter Bugs". It caught on. Hoping a similar campaign starts which shames the graffiti "goof". Cheers 🥂
